RANDYM.
You can count on the toothbrushes... Not so sure about me not eating much, it all depends what's on the menu!๐Ÿ˜

Roylynx, few days ago I woke up and, I COULD swear, Johnny Depp was seated on the rocking chair in the corner of my room. ๐Ÿ˜˜
Should I assume that he had an out of body experience and came to my house, or that I was dreaming?

I have to agree with the previous posters suggestion about you experiencing SP that night, still waiting for the picture of the bruise.

Hello and Happy Holiday Season to you and yours

If I may I would like to give you my opinion about some things and I reallly hope you consider it constructive as I have read many of your stories and your bio.

First let me say I took a class years ago about paranormal research. It so happens this class was given in a building with a reputation for paranormal activity. I almost had wished the instructor had not let that be known. There was a guy in this class that I'll call "Bob". This man Bob was really one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Just a real friendly all around good guy. Bob had 1 problem though
He wanted to experience something paranormal so bad that the poor guy couldn't sit still. Every time the building would make a noise, as all buildings do, poor Bob was up looking around like an ostrich on crack. He was convinced he had heard a spirit do something.
Point being that in truth that is not a good way to get to the truth. He was doing what a lot of people do. He drew his conclusions and was now ready to make any evidence fit that conclusion. In most cases a paranormal conclusion is not correct
Of course it IS the answer sometimes. But it's a very very very (did I mention very?)
Few times.
I personally am very cautious when drawing a paranormal conclusion anytime sleep is involved. The reason being is this. I have had many episodes of Sleep Paralysis and I know first hand just how convincing our mind can make something seem. Anytime we are in a semi-waking state for any reason our brains can trick us into thinking we have seen, heard, felt, etc. All kinds of things. Our brains are very powerful but just as they are powerful in gathering information from our senses to tell us what's going on around us they can be just as powerful in taking a little information from our senses and fooling they heck out of us in a very convincing way.

Your bio states you want to experience paranormal things. I hope your able to do that to your satisfaction. Sometimes waiting for something paranormal to happen can be as interesting as watching paint dry or watching the grass grow.
When you think you have experienced something though it is critical not to go to the paranormal conclusion first. That MUST be your last option. ONLY after exhausting all other options can the paranormal be considered. Even then follow up information could come to light that makes you have to toss out that paranormal conclusion

I really wish you the best as you seem like such a great and happy person

Also I would love to visit Brazil. Sooooo. If you want to host the YGS Christmas Party then we will just all hop on down your way.
Lady-glow can bring us toothbrushes and we will all have a great time
Don't worry. We don't eat much

Take care
Randy

Mona777, Yes, those traditionally told ones and the "real" ones, but I have found most of those are explainable or out of journal (monsters, creatures etc)
Why?

Roy:

Oh right ๐Ÿ˜

Rookdygin, Thank you! Just wanted to say I have found the same thing lol
Hmm... Then this "encounter" that I have is getting more and more mysterious... But as you have said since Henrique was calm it may just had been my own physical problem due to stress... Hmm... Thanks anyway!

This may help with the research...

Psychosomatic Response: physical reaction that results from stress rather than an injury.

In MOST cases the individual 'thinks themselves sick' in other words the individual will exhibit the symptoms of a certain illness but not really have that illness. However there are instances where the mind convinces the body its injured so the 'hurt' area 'manifests' a symptom of the injury the brain 'thinks' happened.

Rookdygin, You mean my cat's reaction? I own a house cat not a dog;-)

Well, I started to wear power gem or power stones on my left wrist since the last few years, since... I can start to become a story writer of this site; you know what I mean lol

That night I rested the bracelets on the crystal for what people believe as a restoration of the gem stones' power.

Yes, I would like to believe that it was just S/P, but really? Our mind can produce bruises? That is very interesting! Research time!

roylynx,

Wow this could seriously go either way...Tired/Couple of drinks induced 'hallucination' or visit by a random spirit.

So...in favor of it being Tired/Couple of Drinks induced...

1) You were tired... (๐Ÿ˜‰)

2) You had a couple of drinks... (๐Ÿ˜˜)

3) You experienced the basic symptoms of S/P.

4) There are studies that seem to support a theory that our mind can manifest things like 'mild burns' (red spots), Blisters, lite scratches and even bruises if it is convinced it has experienced a 'real event'. So if you had a very vivid dream while in the state you were in then perhaps your mind convinced your body it was a 'real event' and so the bruise manifested.

In favor of a real paranormal event...

Darn it, it's the same list... Except for number four... In number four we replace the 'vivid dream' with a 'passing spirit'.

Question: Do you personally shield yourself? If so is it possible that your shield was 'down or weak' because of how tired you were. If so then a Spirit may have felt your energy and followed you home and as soon as your normal strength level returned it simply went away.

However your dogs reaction makes me thing it was a 'dream' rather than a spirit... Just my hunch though.

Respectfully,

Rook

Wow! It's up?
Guys and gals, I may need some time to explain the matter I had the picture of that bruise on my back. Really strange to have a bruise right on that spot!

Now answering the comments...

Melda, It was different then Vic I guess it was not aggressive though but it was indeed ugly... I mean it may be just my imagination but when I found that bruise I was alarmed.

Henrique may not have been reacted aggressively even if it was monstrous looking; you know he is a cool cat lol

Jubeele, You may probably be right, but the position of the bruise was really odd... Wait for the picture;-)

Mona777, That night, no, I did not remember looking at the mirror at all since I was so tired.

Thanks for reading! Just wait for the picture because that will be easier for me to explain.

Roy,

Just 1 question, did you feel anything strange or see that bruise while you took a shower on the same night?

Roylynx, I would trust Henrique's superior feline senses. If an evil-smelling, werewolf-type creature were in close proximity to his beloved human, I'm sure he'd have raised the alarm and gone rushing for help. ๐Ÿบ

You may have been asleep on your stomach and cheeky Henrique jumped onto your back to make himself comfortable on the bed for a while. Maybe that's why he had that worried look on his face when you woke - he was feeling guilty for giving you a bruise! ๐Ÿˆ

Roylynx - Experiences such as those are really nasty and scary.

Poor Henrique, he would be extremely annoyed with you if he knew you considered him as being the source of the bad smell ๐Ÿ˜† Henrique is another reason I think you might have had a sleep paralysis episode. If anything as horrible looking and smelly had appeared in Henrique's presence, he would have fled for sure - I'm prepared to put my head on a block and wait for the axe to drop! My cat Toby was not afraid of Vic (my ghost friend in my last story) but that was a very nice ghost and Toby was raised with him in the house.

I also had an episode of sleep paralysis where it felt as though something was pulling my arms whilst sitting on my legs and I had the most unbelievably bad taste in my mouth. It was so bad I don't even know how to describe it. It seems that sleep paralysis can bring all our senses into play.

On the other hand, I don't want to try to convince you that what you experienced was indeed sleep paralysis. I believe that a lot of things are put down to sleep paralysis when they are in fact genuine paranormal experiences.

You said you noticed a bruise on your back. I often find bruises on my arms and legs but I tend to walk into things because I'm always in a hurry, even when I've got all the time in the world. You know, one of those people who does things in ten minutes when they actually have half an hour.

Tut-tut, poor Henrique. He probably thought you were the one smelling bad ๐Ÿ˜œ

Regards, Melda
