i have used the ouija only 2 times once 18 years ago and once the other night and both times I talked to the same person and it freaked me out someone told me I probably I have this guy spirit attatched to me and I would like to know is that possible? I have had a lot of paranormal things happen to me but never thought it could be from something I did 18 years ago... If I have got this guy attatched to me can someone tell me how to get him unattached?

The same thing happened in a story before, although when the people saw it was Satan, they sprinted out of the room.

Nimrod, thanks for the story! I hope that it will dissuade someone from ever getting involved with the ouija.

Fredy22, do you really believe that we humans are "monkeys with free will?" or are you just trying to be contrarian? As you cited the Book of Enoch, it is fair to note that the book is greatly concerned with the eternal judgment of mankind -- and if man is NOT beneath the notice of God, then he is definitely NOT beneath the notice of Satan. Indeed, Satan specifically seeks to interfere in the relationship between God and man because he envies/is jealous of that relationship. And "Enoch" notes that Satan's fallen-angel-buddies certainly noticed the "daughters of men" -- in fact, Enoch says that they got their groove on and reproduced.

It has been said that Satan's greatest trick has been in convincing mankind that he does not exist. Perhaps you should rethink your supposition that we "monkeys with free will" don't matter to him. We do, after all, have these cool things called "souls," and the "vacancy" sign in Hell is always lit.

hi, I just wanted to make one thing clear, satan is not controlling the ouija board. Satan has nothing to do with anything anyone on this site has ever expierenced, lesser demons or evil spirits or whatever those things are controll those type of tormenting little activities. Satan however... Not on your best day, satan is the most poweful angle god created the weakest angle god created makes einstine look like a retard, humans are petty in comparison to satan, he is not going to give any of you the time of day, do not flatter yourself, satan has far more intricate things to do then spook some monkey with a free will (human). God made a mistake out of pure love when he created lucifer. He has never created another angle like him, it was a will that god gave to satan that led satan to trouble. All angles are like drone insects if you will, they only carry out gods will, god lives in uncertainty of lucifer. You can read all about this in the book of enoch. This is why god created the arch angles who are always at his side. The very poweful arch angles were created due to this problem with gods beloved lucifer. In case anyone does not know it an arch angle is an angle of death or destruction of other angles so god had to give them the highest of powers, how ever none of the arch angles are as poweful as lucifer. Trust me satan is not interested in anything that has to do with your monkey asses!

Greetings

Hello nimrod, I believe your grandmother made the right decision. It is said that everytime you use a ouija board, you open a portal to the spirit world. Scary isn't it? Lucifer has many ways to interact with the living, unfortunately. On the bright side, at least no one was possesed.

Thank you for sharing and posting your story.

to be honest, I've never really understood what the dangers of using a ouija board are, I mean, not that I doubt that it works, it's just I don't understand why so many people are freaked out by them. Anyone care to explain why they're considered highly dangerous?

To Mr_Question:I've been coming across your comments for quite sometime now and actually I'm the one left with a big question mark!

Without meaning to sound disrespectful, I need to remind you that the comment section is meant for communication whether that means to thank someone for sharing their experiences or to provide them with your insight whatever that is! Half the time I don't understand if you're laughing at the author of the story or if you're determined to find the devil lurking in every encounter!

Your posts are written in the most complicated brain-storming manner I have seen in all the years I've been an educator and an editor!

I'm restraining myself from erasing this particular one but I will kindly ask you to "filter" your thoughts more carefully in the future!

Thank you

Dear CaptionHowdy,
THAT is by faaaaar the most stupidest thing I have ever heard! You do NOT want to mess with an Ouija board! You can catch much worst thing's then you think! And if you think I'm wrong, then go to a cemetary at the "dead hour", and play with another friend. You will NEVER EVER want to play it again!

Ouija boards are often written about on this site. They aren't the best thing to summon up spirits of any kind. And for those of you that don't believe in them, that is fine. As nothing evil or bad has happen to you with their use, your lucky. But far to many times when a portal is open up, they don't just close on there own. Therefore, evil can and often does come out of them.

As far as I know, they have always been associated with'evil' spirits and the like, every story I have ever read is the same, I think peoples ignorance of them at the time was understandable, but today I believe more people are 'informed' and should stay away from them. I am sorry, but I have never heard anything 'good' come from them. I had one back in the 60s myself, and although I never 'played; with it, it always gave me an 'errie' feeling, I finally threw it away.

Actually, essiej, I was refering to your use of the word 'homosexual'. However, I have since been corrected in MY use of the word. I never knew it could be used for both genders. So I guess I'm the one who needs a dictionary. ๐Ÿ˜

Mustang, I never have, and you will never hear me recommend that people should use ouija boards for whatever reason. But as has been demonstrated by belendajones, it is possible, however unlikely, that some good can come from their use. But in the words of Abby, the choice is yours, as are the consequences.

In my comment about the discussion between friends, I said why it is that my view changed as to the Ouija being MORE DANGEROUS than that of any other form of communication with ghosts.
I am sorry, I can not find the story that the discussion was in. It was either one of FRAWIN's, mine, or in one of Mustangs stories here a while back.

I agree that if in the RIGHT hands, the Ouija board CAN be of good use! However, MOST people do not open and close the session properly and have no idea what they are doing. Besides, who in the world wants to know there friends fate as well as their own (as in death fate)?

I still say leave it up to the professionals to use the board! I do NOT know why you two (JPing and whitebuffalo) are changing your aspect on the subject of the Ouija board! It is and always will be an open door to evil!

Nope, JPing, I just have to figure out how to use spell check. ๐Ÿ˜Š Around here, and when my mom was younger, that is what it meant to be a closet case. That you were hiding it with all the rest of the skeletons in your closet.

essiej, I believe you require a dictionary. ๐Ÿ˜†

Personally I would interpret 'closet case' to be the same as 'basket case' ie. Crazy.

My mom told me a story once about a board that told her she was a closet case. Mom and the other girls thought it meant that she was going to be a homosexual and freaked out. She was pretty young. A bit later she was laughing about it with a friend who thinks shes psychic and her friend told her it just meant that she had not become who she was to be yet. One of the girls that was with her that day still calls her and she told her what the other one said and they all had a good laugh at what they thought it was supposed to mean. That is why mom doesn't want me to try it, cause what we think it could mean could mean something totally differant.

Excuse me, Nimrod, as I take up MORE space on your page...

You know, JPing, I had completely forgot about that comment when I was writing mine. I even asked her how to "filter" through the bad or evil entities...
I stand corrected.
We Do have a story on this site that would appear to show that good CAN come from a board. It may have been in the comment section, but it is still a story!
Thank you.

WB and FOW:
...and speak of the devil, here is the perfect example of something good happening as a result:

belendajones
Date: 2008-02-25

"I've used the talking board (Ouija) all my life since I was a teenager. I only use if for positive purposes. I've had three instances. The first one was it told me my best friend was going to be murdered and when, where, who. Well I blew it off not believing it. Well it happened exactly as it said to the T. That was my first encounter that made me realize this thing is real. Another friend was murdered although it didn't tell me about it up front. It did tell me who would find him where he was buried, how he was buried. Who did it. That it would draw national attention on two TV networks. Everything was right on the money. Sometimes bad spirits try to come through, I won't even communicate with them. I lock it up for awhile until they leave. My third instance was I caught my husband cheating 7 times using the board. Told me where he was and who with. Talking boards are not all bad. You can learn how to use it in a positive way. Those who are naive and don't know how to use it properly can let evil spirits in their lives, I choose not to. It's been a very helpful tool at times. Getting a good job. Any time a bad spirit tries to communicate with me I refuse to talk to them. And yes they will cuss you, tell you to do evil things and manifest themselves in your lives if you let them. I have the same talking board I bought at a garage sale when I was fifteen years old. Allot of it has to do with your state of mind at the time of use. People that do use them need to be careful and be educated on them. Anyway I'm not afraid of them - they can't physically hurt you..."

Isn't this whole site basically a documentary of our lives in the presence of the Unknown?
A couple of good friends of mine and I were in the discussion of communication practices with Ouija boards, and one of them brought up a good point that I had not really thought of before it was posted.
We all seem to have our firm belief on what Ouija boards are, and most of us tell people that they should not be played with.
I did too.
Before that discussion.
The reason being is that every time we ask someone whether or not they have communicated with the ghost, when we tell some one to tell it to go away, when we chant its presence out of our living space, are we not doing the same exact thing we are telling others not to do?
The only difference is that we do not have the board in front of us while we communicate.
Now, while I can not say that I am free of all guilt in thinking the forms of communications are different, and one of them is more safe that the other, I can NO LONGER say that the board is more dangerous than talking with a ghost face to face. I still do not know who it is when I first meet them, and is that not the problem of the board?
I think good COULD come out of it, I have not read any stories yet that it HAS, but the possibility is still out there...
Is it not?
JPing (guest)

I hadn't thought of it that way, whitebuffalo. Turning a fact about the types of ghost stories we so often read into a socal commentary. I saulte you good madam. ๐Ÿ˜

My understanding of ouija boards was that NO good could come from using one. But then I suppose if you did make contact with a good spirit then perhaps some good could come from it. Mind you, I don't think it worth the risk.
whitebuffalo (guest)

Nimrod,
you are one in a kind. I have a hard time associating the name with you, though...

I have to say that KimSouthO has a good take on things here. Name dropping COULD be what the entity in the board was doing. In this story it tried to convey that it was evil. It threw things and was opening doors and windows, and still all there thought it was all in "fun". I would think that this being felt it was also being made fun of and thought to let those there know it was serious, and not to be made light of. That COULD be why it spelled out Satan.
Who else would command so much fear or convey the message of evil than him?

JPing also has a good point. We do not have many stories on this site that tell of the "good" experiences out of the board. We have them told in the comment sections, but none (that I have read. Though I have not been through all of the archives as of yet.) of the accounts of children saved, lives altered in a positive way, or in finding our spiritual soul mates.
It's like watching the news. How many times do we watch stories of the destruction of human lives? And how many times do we see stories of when others helped those in need? We hear the bad things all the time, and on rare occurrences we hear of the good in mankind. I think that makes an interesting point on what it is that people as a whole would find important.
Thank you.

On the contrary BC, I'd have thought it more unusual if it did torment her further.

Most ouija board sessions don't result in hauntings. The fact of the matter is that the majority of stories you hear on this site involving ouija boards are those that did result in hauntings. The cases where nothing at all happened, don't get posted.

well. At the time they weren't kids
they were all in mid 20s-30s
i don't know why satan would do this, but it is the honest to God truth.
i wish I would've known what happened at the house after that, she never returned or talked to the house owner after that
they weren't like friends, it was a friend of a friend
i wouldn't doubt that freaky things happened after that.

Wonderful story, and you are absolutely correct, these 'things' where all the rage, so to speak.

Thank God no one got hurt or worse.

I would bet it was an evil entity presenting itself through the portal at that time. By spelling out satan, it received the desired effect, it got everyones attention.
Don't you just hate name droppers? (Sorry, my weak attmpt at a bit of humor)

God Bless!

Nimrod,
YOU have a way of storytelling. I actually HEARD my Grandmothers voice as I read those first few words ("Picture it, Italy, 19 thirty and two"), God love ya.
IF you believe in Heaven and Hell, it follows that you believe in God and the Devil (by whatever names you chose to associate with them). It also follows that you would believe in the angels (God's side) and in demons (Satan's side). God has to look through all of the world and see to His creation, Satan has to look through all of God's creations and seek to destroy them.
In a Ouija board situation, (Picture a mass production factory, there is a certain chain of command) I would HAVE to think that would be a minor tool used by good or evil. Therefore I have an extremely hard time thinking that someone with that much power would go through it THEMSELVES, rather they would send someone else in their stead.
Perhaps there WAS an evil entity that chose to come through the board, or perhaps this was a story to keep all of the grandchildren from USING the board, but I DO NOT think it was specifically Satan.
Thank you.

Excuse me nimrod.

Hi Tonith. It IS possible that certain people are more sensitive to the "backlash" of the Ouija board. Maybe not, who knows for sure. I know that sometimes it takes more than one play on the Ouija board to have a bad experience or backlash as you say with it. Either way, it is NOT a good idea to play with one. Maybe you are one of the lucky ones that didn't have a bad experience with one.

As for the Most Haunted crew using one on there, as well as other shows, we don't know that when they go home they DON'T have problems after opening a door to another realm. Also, they more than likely close the session the correct way with no backlash. This is just my opinion. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I put it back in the closet, it be out before I left and we didn't play it. Finally I taped up all ends and put it in the drop box of the good will. Never seen it again.

I don't know. I see ouija's used to communicate with spirits on shows like Most Haunted and I have seen other mediums use them too. Like any other ritual for cleansing or protection maybe that is the key to using one without backlash. Personally I don't know what to make of them. I have never had adverse effects from using one.

Hi nimrod. I will have to agree with Shelby, while an amateur attempt at spirit communication is dangerous, I can't see Satan taking time off of his busy schedule to scare a bunch of kids. I think he would have flunkies to do that kind of work. Your grandmother is very lucky that there wasn't any lasting after effects. Thanks for sharing your story and take care.

Hi nimrod. I agree Ouija boards are NOT a toy. I am just wondering though. Why would Satan be messing around with a group playing with the Ouija board? You would think that he would have more evil things to do somewhere else rather than mess around with mere humans playing the Ouija board.

I can just see satan smiling and sayin" I got another person to add to my list through the ouija board..."
Why on earth they are called a TOY GAME is beyond me. They are anything but a game. Once that portal is open anything can come out of them. They are so dangerous.
Did anything unusual ever happen to your grandma after she quit playing it again ?
