Dear Tom (and pardon me, Victoria), Just my opinion, but since your comment was a lengthy story and biography of your past, perhaps it would have been best to submit it as a story. I am by no means without my lengthy comments. I do feel other readers here have different beliefs, and a referral to your website would offer the reader a choice, as well as a better forum for your own beliefs. My comment does not mean that I do not believe or disbelieve you and/or your stories here. Your information is helpful to those who choose or feel they need it. Just a lengthy thought.

Thank you Tom for all the wonderful insight and important information. You are correct when you talk about rebuking the demons with words relating to the blood of the lamb and "the Cross". I used to attend a prayer group several years ago and when they would pray over people, they would use the words "I rebuke you demon of depression in the name of Jesus Christ and command you to go to the foot of the Cross". In the experiences I have had I tend to forget about using "the cross" during my rebuking. Thankfully though the words I have used have worked. I bacially tell them that I rebuke them in the name of Jesus Christ and to get out or leave me alone in the name of Jesus Christ. It has worked for me but I am thankful to see you outline so much more about words to use and signs to watch out for. Demons are everywhere and you really nailed it for me when you said that they can jump into people from other people. It was always just an assumption of mine that they could come and go, sort of like "visiting" and then moving on. Your words do make sense and the truth is they can pop up anywhere and at anytime. The best defense is your faith and to know how to put on the armor of God and use it to it's most powerful level. Thank you for taking the time to write so much vital information. I have noticed a lot of people on this site do not know about Rebuking and instead give in to the fear and bow down to the demons in defeat. I wish everyone could know what you and I know about this subject. Let's pray more and more people will find this information as the best defense they'll ever have or need.

since jr. High (im 44) I have had this same dream at least twice a year. I'm sleeping and in this dream I must awake. I try and try to awake cause if I don't awake I feel I will die. Now trying to awake I'm paralized. Its so hopeless I even try to scream. Through the years I have been able to take the paralisis and fly at rapid speed around my house and even out to the yard. Lately I have battled to awake only to see creatures at the foot of my bed even on me, they growl and I try and try to awake. They are these little grayish things. I'm so freaked out!

Some of you may or may not know the real story behind the movie the Exorcist. It really did happen but it was a young boy, not a girl that was possessed. According to the facts, a relative or one of the priests put a little statue of the Archangel Michael in his room. He had already been thru the exorcism but on that night he dreamt of a Winged Angel slaying demons in a huge battle. In the morning he was no longer possessed. What's really interesting is that when he saw the little state of Michael the Archangel in his room, he told his parents that it was that Angel he saw in his dream that slayed all the demons. So when you are faced with a demon or the Devil himself, you need to pray to God and rebuke the evil ones in the name of Jesus Christ. You can also pray to God to send the Archangel Micahel to defend you. In your case (anonymous), I don't know why you saw the Devil in the reflection of your computer monitor but obviously it's not a good thing. Now is the time to put on your suit of Armor. What is it? The Words..... "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ"...or "Get out in the name of Jesus Christ". You may also want to buy a statue of the Archangel Michael. I did, I found it on ebay. You don't have to be super religious to call upon God to defend you. You are his child and he wants to help you. Start praying daily and you'll see your strength developing little by little. The demons really don't bother me at all anymore because I've turned into one tough cookie to mess with. I used to get scared but now I get angry and when I repeat the words of Rebuking, I do it loudly (in my head of course) and they back off and flee. Every now and then when I let my guard down I will have an episode of sleep paralysis with demons attacking me again. But now I know the way to get rid of them. Before I used to just say "oh God, oh God help me please". It wasn't til my best friend taught me about rebuking and I started attending a prayer group. It worked for me and it will work for you. Please take care of yourself.

I would like to share a 'dream' I had one night. I can't remember all of the details, it happened months ago, but it really creeped me out.. yet made me a stronger believer in religious faith and whatnot. in my dream, I only remember that I was on the computer and about to turn it on. you know how you can see your reflection in the blank monitor? well, instead of seeing my own reflection.. I saw the face of the devil.. like it was trying to take me over. I can't remember much more about the dream except that the devil was stalking me and I could not escape it. it would not let up on me, and I was becoming very weak to it.. until I used the words "in the name of Jesus Christ, leave me alone" and that was it. what's really crazy is that I have never really heard this expression in real life, because I wasn't really brought up religiously and can count on both hands the number of times I've attended church, so.. it was just very bizarre. I'm convinced this was an encounter with the devil. I'm not sure what for, though. on the other hand, I think it was an Angel or a Servant of God or SOMETHING GOOD that came to save me and told me these words to use.. I was just wondering if anyone else had any experience like this, or if anyone could interpret what mine means???

*I would like to note that I am only 18 years of age, I do not do drugs, and I do not drink. I was of completely sound mind when this occurred! Also.. about the devil attacking those who are weak, I have always been physically weak, I naturally only weigh 100 pounds and am 5'6" tall.. and I am also emotionally weak, I am a very emotional person and although I'm not diagnosed I think I have depression.. I am also a very shy person and have been my whole life.. just thought I would share in case it helps in interpreting my 'dream'*

I have similar experiences.
One night I felt like something heavy was on my body...it didn't let me move... I tried to scream but
I didn't hear my voice. I couldn't talk or move, or open my eyes: nothing.
It happened many times, one night it happened everytime I tried to close my eyes. It's like someone didn't want me to get asleep. I don't know, I always pray to God when these things happen...someone says it's anxiety, stress, but I don't know what to think.

well Martin, that wasn't the only experience that I had, and after that first time, it didn't scare me as much, maybe you're right and i'm just young and impressionable...but there are some things that happen to me that just can't be explained away.

No prob, unguided_traveler, you're young and impressionable, so it may be traumatic experience. But you know, some girls lose their "physical virginity" while riding a bike, I doubt that count rights?

I've had a succubus experience in between state of dream and being awake once, where I could actually feel someone's hands on mine while I was just waking up, for a good 20 seconds, and well, maybe it's my age or my gender, but the overall experience was actually quite pleasant. But let's just say I didn't start thinking that it really counted in the physical world (unfortunately, lol).

thanks, I think I really needed to get it off my chest. I told my mother about this experience, but she first acussed my boyfriend of the time. what she didn't know was that he wasn't even in town at the time, and so she said that I must've been dreaming... I don't really remember much except for the...well...you get the picture, but I do recall that I was not completely asleep. i'm a cronic insomniac, so if I do sleep, I don't recall anything about it. but thank you for responding and I hope that with time i'll be able to either come up with an explaination, or at least get over it. :)

unguided_traveler, virginity is not a physical condition, it's a matter of personal and psychological experience (without going into details, ahem, let's just say that the physical aspect is unreliable). You didn't lose it because of an experience in the spirit world, or a semi-dream, just like you wouldn't accuse your boyfriend, if it happened to him, that he's cheating on you ;) I wouldn't worry about that at all, although, I must admit, this is probably not the ideal first time. It rarely is, anyway :P For example, if one were to be abused by a stranger, I wouldn't say they lost their virginity either.

and I would like to add that, since i've never...done anything like that before, I felt to pain of your first time...now i'm not entirely sure if I can call myself a virgin...does anyone have any thoughts...?

i've had a sexual encounter with some sort of spirit before. i'm only 15 and it really scared me, I didn't know what to do and it wasn't until I noticed that other people have the same experiences that I could comfortably talk about it...

andy, your experience sounds more like a succubus than the old hag.

"Some confuse the incubus with the legendary "Old Hag" syndrome but it is not. The Old Hag episode is usually restricted to a feeling of great pressure on the chest and not a ghostly sexual encounter. Another difference between the incubus/succubus encounter from the Old Hag is that the former is not always unpleasant while the Old Hag is mostly accompanied by a feeling of death, suffocation and just trying to survive."

aamazing story guys. if you look "demons among us" that is my post. its true that if you say jesus they have to flee. I'm a christian I live right and I know that there are other creatures other than humans in this worl. i`ve experianed them firest hand i`ve seen angels my son has seen angels too. victoria you say that you are depressed a little. first I lke to say that don`t allow anf negative thought in you "spirit"mind. you see we have to minds the mind of the "flesh : and the mind of the "spirit" . the flesh rejects God and his mercy and cannot obey God but the mind of the spirit is the new creature when one is born again. most christians don`t come to this upper level of a spiritual understanding. I have a friend at work thats say its hard not to sin and I said its not hard. the flesh wants to sin and your spirit wich has been born of God wants to obey God ,,that desire is your spirit the one thats want to do good and Love God. on the other hand the desire to do evil and which is sin is the mind of the flesh . thus remeembering this will help you live in victory. if you don`t live in the spirit you will be depree cause you thinking and in the realm of mortal man which is where the demons and the princess of this wrld operates in. hope this helps you all....j.h read romans ch.6,7,8, Paul the great servant of God talks about this,,,,,

Yeah dude, I have had some similiar experiances with demons. Most relevant being a night I fell asleep with my future wife and I awoke ...well, was awakend by some uneasy feeling. Couldn't move, heard a heavy scary breathing (oh golly!) and uh, wasn't the wife or myself. Well, I was all like "crap" and stuff and remembering from some storie read years ago off of Alt.something something ghost-stories I just started repeating the name of Jesus. I started to feel better as soon as I started praying and knew everything was gonna be A-OK :) Well, then the demon said he would !*%$# me. That was the most unsettling part...talk about rude.
