***Excitedly clapping and jumping up and down***

You go, Girl!
Sometimes you just need an "outsider" to point to the things that you already know. Sometimes it is just too hard to accept as your BRAIN thinks "Ok, whatever, GREAT hallucination..." It is easier to forge ahead and look for something MORE, than it is to sit down and reflect on what came BEFORE.
Often times, what came before is simply a beacon for what is to come.

Yes, the veil is as you described it. Yes, it is that same girl I sensed at Anima. I was complaining about not having "seen" her without realising that she has been here for a long time and my "walk" down that bar the first time wasn't coincidental.

I've been so ignorant Autumn!
Even more because she is not a stranger who came my way. She is FAMILY-we come from the same blood line!

***pulling on the string that will cause the light bulb to come on***

And...?
As you had THAT dream as a youngster, and here you are years later in a place that you feel "at home" in, though the relationship with the place is unclear...
You FEEL as if you SHOULD know her...
I am just curious, is the veil as I described?

You have all of the answers, Hun. You really do. All you have to do is to stop second guessing yourself. Your MIND is remarkable. Stop listening to your BRAIN. 😊
Some of us go our entire lives with just one "angel" following us, making sure that we do not make the ultimate in bad decisions. Some of us only get a few days. I feel that the "family" has been reaching out to you for quite some time. Sometimes it just takes a bit to get the light to come on.
😉

Well, hello back my dear friend!

Actually I have been pondering over the figure for quite a bit now and I have come to a sudden realization:although at that particular night I wasn't able to see anything more that the oulline, that sort of veil over the head brought back memories of a re-occurring dream I had years ago. This figure looked very much like the woman I was clearly seeing then as the veil and the position of her head while observing me is identical.

One night back then, I woke up and drew a quick sketch of her which I still have with me. I think this is the woman who was leaning over me a few nights ago. I will ask Martin to post it for me.

Hello again Tammy.
You were right on both of your return comments to mine. I WAS thinking of the first person you thought of, and then on your second comment, that was true also. Perhaps she HAS been around you there also.
I distinctly get the picture in my mind, when reading through that paragraph that you wrote IN THE STORY LINE (which, of course, was written BEFORE your comments) of a bonnet at the crown of the head with a veil trailing down the back to stop at about the shoulder blades.
Just something for you to think about, and I know you will be able to think this one through <smile> think OUTSIDE of black and white. It IS NOT black and white.
Is it?

It sure does Martin.

You're getting quite a few compliments from my friends here on the island! For the moment I'm trying to get them to write their own little experiences.

Thanks for trusting me. 😊

Hey thanks rhodes68, it's kind of fun not being the only person explaining it to people now... We live in such an instant gratification age 😉 If we let everything be published right away without proper supervision... It wouldn't be pretty and we would have too many. I think it makes a nice difference compared to other "free for all" forums out there.

Hi Rebelboy, that is because the site publishes a certain number of stories per day so that every poster gets to share their story and get the assistance they need. Even if you have submitted your story a couple of days ago as you say, there were many people who did the same before you since the weekend so we need to wait for our turn 😊. It's only fair, just be patient and use this time to your advantage:read stories submitted by others with a similar experience and focus on people's comments-some of them will be very helpful!

I'm sure your story will be up in no time.

I don't know why my story hasn't been up yet. I decided to sleep with the tv on last night, as I was still a little scared. I made the mistake at 2am to turn it off, thinking I would fall right asleep.
I heard the exact same noise as the other night not 30 seconds later, and I immediately turned my tv back on. Didn't hear anything else that night, but I'm afraid it will be back again tonight. I hope my story is up soon. I had sort of a weird thing happen today at work, but I will mention it in my next story, when I know more about what happened.

Well RebelBoy, I too believe that dogs can sense much more things that humans can whether that is due to smell, instinct or intelligence-remember they are very intelligent beings and a little underestimated by us humans.

I'm not sure any of my experiences envolve demons as I really don't think a demonic possession is an everyday thing-I might believe in it only in rare cases when extraordinarily bad things happen.

I think my dogs react as they do and can sense my emotions so easily because I'm very close to them and they can read me like an open book. And yes, of course, they saw, smelled, heard, and felt something that night.

Maybe, like you suggest the figure means no harm and is here to protect me from something. That's a scary thought!

And rhodes... Dogs are definately sensitive to human emotions. I think it all has to do with their sense of smell. Like they say "they can smell fear". I believe they can sense other emotions by smell. Maybe also through other sense too. But one thing is for sure, they definately can sense things that humans can't. That being paranormal or just soemthing as simple as human emotions.
Be aware of this, as it could mean something more than it sensing your frustration. I hate to even mention this, and I'm sure you are aware of this, but demons/spirits can possess animals MUCH easier than humans. And it could just be the lady trying to protect you through one of your dogs. Who knows... Just be wary!

It was the one titled "I Mentally Called Out This Entity". I am still amazed at how many similarities there were. I haven't had a spiritual encounter since I was a child. Well... Besides going over to my ex girlfriends house, but I might write about that some other time. But I haven't been scared like this since I was a kid.
I do agree that I need to calm down, but read my story, and see how calm you would be, haha. I have calmed down a lot since I woke up this morning. I feel good right now, but it IS daytime. I wish if something was going ot happen, that it would happen now. It just makes it that much worse when it happens at night. But I don't necessarily agree it is out to hurt me or cause me harm so I will keep that in mind. Ya'll be on the look out for a strange bumps in the night story!

Rebel: I've read all of Ohiowatha's stories. Actually some of them are in my favourite list.

Try to remain calm since fear can sometimes make things worse or distort are perception and evaluation of the events.
Hmm, now I sound as if I know exactly how to deal with any situation but trust me I DON'T let alone that when I said I screamed the first night I had the experience, I mean I REALLY screamed. I woke up the neighbors next door 😳

Kim! CONGRATULATIONS and may this baby girl be blessed with all the love, health, and happiness in this world! ❤
So far, nothing out of the ordinary but Fatima's bad temper all day, which of course might be the result of many things. It's not that she has ever done it before but just for the sake of argument. She constantly observes me everywhere I go, I mean her eyes are on me the whole time and if any other of our dogs comes as far as an inch away from me, she charges and bites them. It's kind of nerve-breaking because they are a close pack-one protects the other at all times so her behavior is a bit off. Then again, she might be sensing my frustration. I may be able to hide it from my husband but not from my own animals.

I know exactly what you mean. I am kind of glad it happened NOW, but I definately wasn't so thrilled about it at the time. I just got done reading a story by Ohiowatha (sorry if I misspelled his name) It is the story at the top of his list. It has SO many similarities in his story it is very chilling. You should definately take a look at it if you haven't read it before. I was a little disturbed by this. I can't wait for mine to be published so that ya'll can see what I am talking about.

Rebel, I'll be looking forward to reading your experience- I'm not saying I'm happy you had it but I'm really curious. I guess I'm trying to compare similar experiences to mine and somehow share my feelings and fears with others who have felt like me. It somehow helps.

Thanks

Tammy,
I am a bit delayed in getting to this story. I had been out of touch for a few days, I became grand mother to a beautiful baby girl!

Have you had any other occurances or experiences? Have the dogs continue to alert?

Thanks for the up date!

God Bless!

Unfortunately, I DID have some strange happenings last night. And I submitted my story. I am still a little shaken up about it. I can't believe I saw it coming. I HONESTLY didn't expect anything would happen. I figured my imagination was just going wild.

Oh, reading your comment again I realised that you mean something completely different by "she thinks she knows you". What you're saying is that she might have been here for quite some time when my mind was elsewhere. Hmm, quite possible.

Hi Autumn and thanks for offering your insight on my experiences.

I'm constantly thinking about the figure I saw the first night which my husband perceived as a "faint shadow" over me and trying to recall any details that might help me figure something out. While doing this, I'm trying to distance myself from the last experiences at Anima as drawing faulty conclusions is pretty easy at this point.

The result of all my efforts are that the only reason I think she looks familiar to me is because of her build which is very typical of the women in my family. She looked as if she was sitting at the edge of my bed on my right side, leaning forward as to observe my face. She was very delicate which brought back certain childhood memories of both my grandmothers but especially my paternal grandmother. She used to sit on the exact spot observing me while sleeping.

One minor, or not so minor, detail I have not mentioned because it wouldn't make any difference to anyone but myself was that she seemed to either have long straight hair (my paternal grandmother's hair) or she was wearing a long scarf over her head (again the same grandmother wore one). The reason I say this was because the outline of the figure was very clear to me so there seemed to be something covering the head.

Your suggestion that she might THINK she knows me has crossed my mind over and over and we both know WHO we are referring to which could explain why the figure seemed to having her head covered.

I, too, think she will be back. I don't think she means harm and maybe because of my first impression of her which communicated something peaceful (unfortunately MY response wasn't equivalent to that) that is why I originally assumed that the noise the second night wasn't the cause of the same source. Again I DIDN'T like the sound but only because I couldn't see what or who was making it.

Isn't that crazy? What am I saying? That I was more comforted by the apparition?!

Also, you're absolutely right about me being far too involved with other things elsewhere to have noticed anything else happening at home. I'm indeed much more open now.

Hello Tammy,
Using your words, I have a few thoughts for you. "Its head was an inch away from my face but I could see no features other than a "delicate" outline of a body which was what led me to believe it was possibly a woman. She seemed to be observing me and as I poked my head forward to see more clearly, she moved backwards and then vanished into thin air... There is something in my house-something curious enough to stand an inch from my face and observe me while sleeping. Was it sliding down the wall behind me last night?"
I personally feel that the sound of sliding was just a calling card. I do not genuinely feel that the intent was to frighten, nor was it a "sign" that it was an evil being (as in points of The Grudge). The part of the experience that brought about the MOST reaction were the SOUNDS.
Granted, at the beginning of the experience it was the SIGHT of the being that drew your attention, but then you all (yes, including the dogs) began to converse about the incident. You all were drawn by a sense (Some of sound- the dogs, some of the sight- your husband, and then the feel-YOU)
To ME, and this is simply my opinion here, I would say that she is trying out all of the possible ways in which to interact with you. She already knows she has your attention, now it is up to her on which course of action she may proceed with to make herself known.
I feel that she knows you. Or THINKS she knows you. It may just be in the fact that she has been there for a while, and you have just now become able to pay more attention at home. Before you were coming home exhausted, or excited, or just simply drained. And now, you have been able to relax a bit, and you can be much more aware of the things all about you. Your mind was just so focused before.
I know that you are having a bit of a time disconnecting and getting back to things, but I think she is there to help. I do not have all of the answers, however, so I would also rely on your husbands sleuthing powers. Who knows, whatever he comes up with with be proof of, or against the "cause". He has a very level mind and way of thinking.
Thank you.

I totally and completely agree with you. I feel the same way about the video I have of the light. I am very open to outside opinion be it paranormal or non-paranormal related. Most of the non-paranormal explanations have been more bogus sounding than a possible UFO. I will always be open to other opinions, but NOTHING scientific can explain the coincidence of the man in the lobby and the ambulance coming in right after that light. Thank you for another great story though! I still don't know if I'll be able to sleep for a while though, haha.

Thanks Trent for reading my story and seriously I didn't mean to affect you that much. I hope nothing happens to you too.

I know it can be irritating to have others doubt you but having a skeptic "testing his hypothesis" helps me maintain some sort of balance. I like hearing different opinions as long as they are respectful to the other person. Besides, even if I don't usually admit that, I'm a skeptic myself. I always examine every other posibility and still when I'm left with no other alternative, I leave some room for a non-paranormal explanation.

That doesn't mean of course that I don't believe in spirits. I'm just skeptical when it comes to my own experiences.

I have a bad feeling about tonight after reading this. I haven't felt like this in a long time, and it's a little terrifying. I think I will sleep with my dog tonight. I hope I don't have any bad dreams I HATE nightmares. But I will try and calm myself, and if anything does happen tonight, I will be sure to post it. I'm sure it's nothing, I just don't get scared this easily. I believe my activity in this site might be bringing them closer...
But that is an amazing story. I hope your husband begins to drop that attitude. I know my parents don't believe in the supernatural. They have to see it to believe it, and I think they'd be like your husband even if they did see it. Thank you for sharing your story!

TwistedWispersNeko, thanks for commenting on my story.

Yes, I think it's something since others saw and heard it too and what is more important is that Fatima, despite her overprotectiveness, is NOT the kind of dog that would charge for any reason. Boxer dogs are known to be "serious" (it sounds funny, I know). They may be playful, naughty but, at the same time, they are excellent and dependable guards and the reason is that they attack ONLY when there's real danger-they usually avoid small fights or any type of aggression if they don't feel threatened.

The first time I might have affected her reaction since I screamed but the second time, I just turned my head back to look at the wall.

Yes, FRAWIN, you're right-it does work. Whitebuffalo had suggested that to me when I felt overwhelmed by some events at Anima and it kind of calmed things down for a while. I don't see it as a permanent option but then again, that'll do for the moment.

By the way,we're all LOOKING FORWARD to reading more from you, please. 😊 ❤

I read some of the other post. Its good to know your husband is testing out different things to figure out what's going on, and the fact that he was questioning you about it, it may have made him worry enough to make sure it was just some thing non paranormal, but the fact that your dogs, espeacillay your protective one, jumped at it, so they are aware of the presence other than yours and your husband. Its kind of hard to tell what this spirit is doing, or its intent, but I would try what the others suggest, plus some prayer, if comfortable with, to see what's going on.

Hi Tammy, the good thing about the seasalt and water is that it doesn't affect the positive spirits, only the negative. It isn't a cure, just a deterrent. We have a presence that comes through ever so often and when he does we give him a "dose of salt".I don't know how it works but it does and for me -that's all that matters.

Hi FRAWIN, thanks for stopping by 😊!

Yes, I thought about the possibility of sleep paralysis too and to put it plainly, I would have preferred it to be just that but the response of others as well as the event with the wall a couple of nights ago made me realize there's more to it. I was mostly scared of the noise as I said before for two reasons, mainly:one,I couldn't see it (crazy as it sound-I suppose we humans prefer to "deal" with whatever is somewhat "familiar" to us, even if it is a shadow of a human form),second, had it been a friendly visitation why would it choose that particular sound to reveal itself? It wasn't the best sound in the world and now it makes me doubt about its "intentions";the figure looked familiar somehow so I hoped it might have been a family member.

Thank you for your suggestion, I will try that.
FRAWIN (guest)

16 years ago (2008-06-24)
Hello Tammy. At first it seemed as if it could have been a sleep disorder but your "disorder" wouldn't have affected the dogs or been seen by hubby. It seems as if you do indeed have a visitor. If it feels negative I would recommend the seasalt and water-it works for me.

FRAWIN 😊 ❤

Thank you Ohiowatha for commenting. Yes, I also found it interesting and a bit disturbing since the idea that the figure was either a product of a sleepy mind or even a distorted shadow served its function for a while:it helped me go to sleep. But now I have to wonder myself since I caught him in our bedroom today testing his hypothesis:he had the night light on and he was changing his own position in the room obviously trying to figure out what happened that night.

Seriously, that made me more alert than anything as I'm more willing to let it go than he is.

Well, he's the scientist in the family so I guess he won't stop until he comes up with some kind of logical explanation.

Very interesting that your skeptical husband was very intent on asking you about this encounter. The fact that he saw SOMEthing is enough to merit belief in an actual encounter rather than some sort of sleep paralysis or whatnot.

Keep us posted! 😊

Mickey and Fizzypulp, hi and thank you so much for commenting and for your kind words 😊.

Fizzy, I try to keep control but now that it's getting dark, I don't look forward to going to bed!

I live in the center of the city, on the outskirts of the medieval town. My own neighborhood is also very old so yes, I understand your feelings while being in the Grand Master's Palace. My own house is surrounded by abandoned houses.

I was pleasantly surprised you spent so long on my island!

Hey Chris 😊. Thanks for the support my friend.

You know what's strange? Yes, I was terrified, I would have been terrified even if the figure spoke to me and told me "I come in peace", even if it was a relative or acquaintance of some sort. And yet, now that I recall the incident, I'm left with a "warmth" in my heart for a reason I don't know. It/she was so peaceful that I don't think it/she meant any harm at all. What was more scary for me was the sound behind me on the wall maybe because I can't put a face to it. I don't know.

Hi rhodes,
Fascinating story.
I can understand why you will not contunue with Amina telling due to it beign other peoples experiences - if they want to share it then it is up to them.
Where abouts in Rhodes do you live - I spent 2 happy years there. It is a rich vibrant cultural place with much history.
One place in the Grand Masters palace I could not stay in for more than 2 minutes as the feeling of deja vu was overwhelming. Very peculiar but not threatening.
I hope you are taking care and not panicing over this as faith and hope keeps us safe

My dear Tammy! It is always a delight to hear from you and I'm glad that you sharred this story with us. I have to say this for sure was a scary incident and I'm not surprised why you felt like this. I must say that I don t agree with TheUnkown here. I don't think that this is poltergeist activity. If it were there would be more evil activity going on. Instead it seems to me that this spirit is interested in you. And while I was raeding I was wondering where did this spirit come From? Did just come by and popped in for a vist? I don't think this is the reason. But I have a wierd feeling. Is it possible that you actually picked up this spirit from somewhere? I know this may be a wierd question but have you gone and visited a place or a building where you got this weird feeling? It seems to me taht this spirit chose you to show itself. And one reason why it decided to show itself to you is because you have the gift that not everybody could understand. I know this is a hard time. Not only did you have spirits who gave you no peace at Animas now you have it at home. I honestly feel sorry for you Tammy 😢!I think a little investigation won't hurt. Try an Evp. Since it is going on in your bdroom leave on for one night. MAybe then you might get some answers. I won't be telling you what you should do because you are well informed on these situations. Believe me you know your stuff 😁!I hope this spirt leaves you alone. As I said you have enough problems with other spirits! I enjoyed read your story (I always do) and hope that you post us soon by saying that the spirit has left the building!
My best wiches to a great friend... I hope to hear from you soon and take care

Thanks for reading my story TheUnknown and commenting.

If the theories about poltergheist activity are correct, I'm not within the right age-span for such activity.

In addition, that misty figure was simply observing me- I don't really think it was mischievious or noisy at all. It was silently observing me.

I'm not even sure if the sound I heard and the figure I saw came from the same source of energy. As you see, I'm a little bit confused myself although I must admit, there was something familiar about the figure that night. Whether it was in the way it was leaning over me or the built of that apparition, I still can't figure it out.

Easiest explanation, a poltergeist. It must be having fun scaring you and your dogs as it was mentioned in your story,rhodes68.There must be something in the closet that your dog scratched at and it must be a clue to all your hauntings.

A clue is one thing that you must find if you want to solve something, or its better that you don't get involved in this...
