Hello troyarn. Firstly, thank you so much for your service. ❤

It really sounds like there was a spirit or multiple spirits attached to that mirror. I'm not sure if it might have been residual energy from all the tension that naturally comes up in any military environment (with which I'm sure you're quite familiar) or if it was really an intelligent haunting. The wolf noises those voices were making makes me think intelligent haunting, but other things like the disembodied arm and feelings of oppression point toward residual. Maybe it was both?

Anyway, thanks for sharing your story!

Blessings,
DA

I think I would have wrapped it up real nice and sent it to the officer that made you take it back to your quarters 😆. Was that the only thing that happened while you were stationed there? God bless and Semper Fi.

I collect old mirrors so this story was interesting to me. While nothing weird ever happened with any of my mirrors there have been enough ghost stories about mirrors in general. They do say that most of it can be debunked. The backing may be worn out or the glass is old and wavy which can create strange effects. Can a mirror be possessed? Can a spirit becomed trapped inside one? I don't know. I have heard of furniture pieces being haunted so maybe a mirror is no exception. If something was trapped in that mirror it wasn't the friendly type. There was certainly enough activity and strange things going on to believe something in that room was not right. I wonder where that mirror is today?

Thanks for the comments. At the time of the story I didn't know much about different types of hauntings (even now I am not as knowledgeable as most on this site). I just saw what I did and could feel bad things coming from the mirror.

As for covering it up, I guess one could look at that as a primitive idea... A mirror is made to look into. This one was bad. Covering it up, to my friend and I, seemed to be a reasonable way to end the bad vibes coming from it (and it seemed to work... At least until we left).

I am confused Surya. Why do you disagree that warpping it up was "never a clever thing to do?"

Bro we do have to save our skins first befor we get into the investigating business. I believe in "know the theory to break the theory". Even when you encounter with an apparition directly you can't do anything else but get yourself out of the situation before it worsens and then try to figure out what it's expecting. Thanks bro.

Hmmm that was an hell of an experience bro. Yes it happens sometimes even non living things like buildings, mirrors etc. Have the power to be possessed (not literally). Meaning that the psychons of the user constantly revolves around it. Wrapping it up was a clever thing to do.

What a story, I don't know what I would have done if I saw what you did. I have never had any mirrors in my bedroom, to superstitious. Let's hope the next lot after you did not find the mirror and put it up.
