A slight smile and a heartfelt bow to you lady Athena. Between you and Martin I have two exceptional friends with the same interest as I. The truth and nothing but the truth. Or to be more dramatic: The truth is out there. Martin will know what that one means I am sure. :)

Peace, Love, and Luck be with you always Lady Athena.

Dear Shane,

As always you are correct, I was a bit agitated today by the back and forth of the stuff going on in regards to this silliness. I apologize to you and others as I was not speaking and living my own truth. Practice what I preach. I realized that later when I re-read my comment, but too late to retract. Yes the stories should stay, and luckily Martin has the good sense to not listen to me and kept them. All is valid.

I do not know if you visit, Martin's other site, but please see the story titled, "Divine Impulse" by mickjc75 at psychic-experiences.com and read my comments.

Blessings and thanks for the reminder, Athena

Hope: This story is a tuff one. A ghost killed a cat? Well, They can hurt people. But why did it killed the cat? Was it the girl, or was it the other? If the girl wanted to warned you, why killed the cat? Anyway, what ghost or spirits make sence? I know when God gave permision to Satan to have Job in sickness, his family killed by sickness, to prove his faith, well, that was some power. But still, why the cat? And then, the double? But yet, it's interesting. Thinking of publishing it as a book. It has bits of everything. If your grammar not so great, there are editors. Let people be the judge. It's your story.

The cat? That makes no sense.
What a mystery! Really like the story.

Best of luck with your story.

That is your choice to make some guy. No one can force you to share something that you do not want to. Why would I or anyone else here make anyone share something that they may consider personal in nature or maybe afraid that they will be ridiculed because of it. This site as I am sure it's creater will confirm was created to give people a place to come and share their experiences and maybe seek possible solutions to those experiences. It is the Authors' choice wether or not to accept the help of others here.

Peace, Love, and Luck be with you

Dear Athena, I do not want this story erased from the site. It is a reminder that sometimes people do make mistakes and they can take things a little too far. It has a historical value I believe. Thanks to a friend, whom I need not mention ;) I am able to post once again with renewed convictions. Though it pains me to admit it, I believe that I did help in raising the alarm, I am just sad to see that this story had to take such a negative turn. I believe a famous qoute sums up the whole of the story.

"Oh what a tangled web we weave
When first we practice to deceive. - Sir Walter Scott (Marmion, 1808)"

I take not what the young lady has said of me to heart, and I forgive her for her transgressions. We as investigators sometimes deal with people who can and sometimes do become violent or outraged when we do not prove or are not willing to investigate what they believe is real. Any reputable investigator will ask what seem to be some very personal questions before beginning any investigation. This is so that they can determine if this is an actual paranormal event or if it is some one who is more than likely in need of pychological intervention. I feel that this story is just that "A Story", nothing more. Those who truly are experiencing the paranormal do not often get upset with not being believed they have become use to it and they move on and find some one who does believe them. Not resort to name calling and threats of boycotting a website as this can be construed as childish and immature behavior and makes them far less believable. These are only my opinons are are not intended to be rude or insulting to anyone. Sorry for the long post.

Peace, Love, and Luck be with you all.

Dear Martin,

Looks like you beat me to the punch again and deleted Ms. Hope's comments, if they were hers after all. Sorry about the fuel to the fire. Sorry too for my post with the big gap, I meant to press "edit", but instead pressed "preview" and it got published before I knew it. I dislike being older and having to wear bifocals. :)

My honest opinion I would not mind if this whole story went away.

Thanks for allowing my comments and blather, Athena

Dear Hope,

If these posts are indeed your posts, all I can say is not this again. If you want to be angry and call people foul names, of which most of it is directed at Shane, and then Martin, and anyone else here who wishes to comment, please include myself. You also need to read my comments about your whole story of four parts.

Ms. Hope your story, conduct, reaction, misspellings and your immaturity show me that you have know sense of true love and respect for yourself or others or the English language. I dismiss your whole presence here as not credible or of the truth.

I welcome you to prove me wrong. This is my stand and my statement.

There are so many holes in your stories and comments that it would make Swiss cheese look like Wisconsin cheddar, and since you are from Wisconsin you would know what I mean.

In my experience both as an observer and as one who has had death around me since as long as I can recall, I have never seen such a reaction from a person who has recently had a spouse pass away. I have also experienced the frenzy, utter denial, grief and emotional and physical chaos that comes with the loss of a loved one and is also accompanied by all the matters that need to be addressed to arrange a funeral. Not to mention attending to all the people who show up and family members to attend to and share with. Above all to be so busy, in grief and chaos, and to attend to loved ones needs as well like your children. From my experience there is no time or dire need whatsoever to get on the net and finish a ghost
story. Everyone I've been with in a time of mourning attended to the matters at hand and made them priority not a website or ghost story or any other thing most of us would not consider top priority. Your parenting skills are most unusual, what mother would not put her children first and what mother would allow her children to tell her what to do in regards to being the ones who told you to get on the net. No, Ms. Hope too many holes in your stories and comments to find any credibility or much left if any of it.

I stand with my first comments and statements.

Sorry, Martin I added fuel to the fire, but if Ms. Hope wishes to call others names then I should be included as my comments have been just as honest and bold.

Perhaps, Martin one should just erase everything and we could all just start again. Nothing says we cannot, except you and it is of course up to you to do as you wish. As always, my opinion to all, including Ms. Hope... Take some, all or none.

Blessings With a Backing, Athena

MasteryofDarkness - I looked up doppelgangers (doubles)online and found this on a site. I thought it was really interesting and thought it answered your question. :)

Firstly, I am very sorry to hear about your husband. This is truly an unusual set of events taking place... I understand the seriousness but I am a bit puzzled... You say you do not want the ghost girl to go away as she warned you about the death of your husband - but did you already forget that she killed your cat? One good deed doesn't make up for one bad one. Doesn't that set off an alarm in any of you here - Athena? Shane? Martin? If the ghost was trying to lead her into the barn so that she could see her husband's double, why did she have to go to such great lengths as to kill the cat to do so? Does this make sense to anyone? And for her not to want the ghost girl to leave, makes it even more unsettling because what if some other bad thing is headed their way? Who will have to die for the ghost girl to get someone's attention next?

If my husband had just died, I sure as hell wouldn't be on a website typing about some ghost. I'd be devastated and trying to comfort my children.
I think it's the way these stories have been written, plus the fact that the author can't seem to give out a valid e-mail address that makes me think this is fiction.
If she has lost her husband, I'm truly sorry...

I think you are lieing and you need to quit playing around. Death is nothing to joke about. How can you so calmly post something like that? I hope they never let you post here again.

Dear Ones and Ms. Hope,

Sorry, I just read the fourth installment of Ms. Hope's story. My comment still stands. Athena.

That's some creepy stuff.

Sorry about the loss.

What is a double? (Sorry, I'm not big on all ghostly things)

The 4th barn ghost story is not at the top on the left column because we had to debate for some time if we would publish it and it had gotten older than the more recent stories that were publish (it's listed in order of the date of submission). With such a delicate topic as losing a husband, I hope you can understand why I wanted to be really thorough about the veracity of this story, and since it appears to be real, I just want to extend my sympathy to the author, Hope, for her loss.
