Possible Incubus Disturbing My Sleep

Hey everyone, this is my first post, so please bear with me here.

A few days ago, I got back from a summer camp which was four weeks long. I had not been in my house for a while and I was dying to get some sleep. Before actually falling asleep I was laying in my bed for a while playing on my phone, all the while going in and out of consciousness. But then, as I was laying there on my back (this time awake) I felt my body go rigid and it felt like I was frozen because I was unable to move my limbs, and this sharp ringing sound was playing in my ear. This kept occurring again and again even when I kept going in and out of the paralysis period. It seemed like whenever I closed my eyes and let my consciousness drift for a little bit, I would be frozen again, hear the loud sound in my ears, and felt like my body kept vibrating. Also, because it was a really hot night (AC broken upstairs) I though it was weird that I felt cooler air envelope my feet and legs. I don't remember anything after that because I think I fell asleep.

Then in the middle of the night (I'm not exactly sure the time) I woke up to feel the covers close to my head and neck being lifted, and had the vague feeling of someone licking my neck. It was so weird, but being in a state of sleepy drowsiness, I didn't react to it. Also, it felt like something had sat on the covers above my chest, but the weight was very light. Then I felt the covers near my feet and legs being moved, so I lifted my head up but saw nothing, all the while proceeding to kick and move my legs in defiance to what was happening. I think I then fell asleep again, I don't remember anything after that.

That morning, I was very tired and felt drained when I woke up. I decided to take a nap that day, but as I was trying to sleep I became paralyzed again and distinctly felt something grab my breast. I then woke myself up and kept the lights on that night when I tried to sleep. I couldn't sleep because it was so hot, and I was afraid to fall asleep, but another experience didn't happen that night.

The next day, I took quite a long nap from 10am to 2pm. At one point during my sleep, I felt my left side being lifted up and it felt like someone got on the couch beside me and put their arm around my waist, while I lay facing up on my back. I actually opened my eyes when my left side was being lifted up, and I saw the vision that would go along with one turning upwards. I was not dreaming during this, but when I did doze off I did have a weird dream. It was of myself laying on another couch, but this time in my old house with my head in someone's lap, and with someone stroking my hair and face. In my dream, I think I enjoyed the stroking, but when I looked back at who was doing it, it was a fair-faced man, and for some reason I got scared and started to scramble away (yes, scramble away), and that's when I woke up. The guy didn't look scary at all; he was kind of handsome, but because he was unfamiliar, I think that's why I got scared. This last experience was two days ago.

I've done quite a bit of research on this, and I think this might be an incubus of some sort, or I might also be imagining this whole thing, although I seriously doubt the latter because it was all so real. I've known about incubi before this whole experience, having held a fascination in the paranormal for most of my life. I know what you might be thinking, and no this thing hasn't had sex with me (at least not that I know of).

So what do you guys think this might be? Any advice on what to do in case it comes back, etc would help.

Beanie, thank you so much for for your story. You posted this 5 years before I read it but I wish I had fou d it sooner. When I was a little boy and in 2nd grade, every night like clockwork I would WAKE up in the middle of the night and I experienced almost the exact same thing and until just now I have not found anybody else who had this happen as close as the way you put it especially in regards to the noise. I have told a number of people my story and they best way I could ever describe it was that it sounded almost like a high pitched steam engine of a train. It would start of faint and since we live in a two story house and my bedroom was upstairs I always thought it was just coming from downstairs. The sound would grow and grow and there were pauses in between each pulse hence they steam engine analogy. Once the noise would become almost deafening it would just stop and there was silence. I would always try and hide under my covers and close my eyes. I could literally hear something moving about my room. Occasionally I would ever so slightly peak out and what I saw was a tall figure, dark and with no distinguishing features that I could see but it would just be frozen in place. When I would pull the covers back down I could hear it resume moving about the room and when I woiuld peak back out it would sure enough be in another location. I had a bunk bed and at first I used to sleep on the bottom but when this started happening I moved up to the top. The event always ended the same... All of a sudden I would close my eyes and become paralyzed in fear. Then and would feel the covers pulled down and would then feel what seemed like hot breath on my neck. All of a sudden it would be lights out and next thing I know it was morning. To put into perspective how loud the sound was I must add that when this started happening I asked my parents to give me our box fan to sleep with at night. I used to always find comfort in being right up next to it and would make forts using a blanket wrapped around it. The blanket would bubble up and voila you had this little room to yourself. When the events started happening I began setting my fan right next to me at night and would make these forts before I went to sleep as like a false sense of security. Sometimes when I would wake up in the middle of the night the fort would be destroyed and when I started to hear the noise I would frantically try to build it back before the figure arrived. Sometimes I wasn't fast enough and would just pull the covers over me anyways. The point is that despite this fan being right next to my face I could hear this noise plain as day. I told my parents but they disregarded it as just the ramblings of a child and I eventually began sneaking into their room at night which actually worked for a while. That is until my father began getting mad and would send me back to my room. I became very very stealthy and memorized where every single creak in the floorboards were and would grab my blanket and sleep on the floor next to their bed. This worked for a while. That is until dad started locking the door. One night as I sneaked out of my room, passed the stairs and crossed the hallway I reached their door only to find it closed. Then I started to hear the noise... I was to afraid to afraid to move and I didn't have a blanket or anything to cover with. I was completely exposed. All I could do was close my eyes as tight as I could. The noise grew and grew, stopped, and I felt that hot sensation on my neck and then I fell unconscious. Mom found me the next morning in the middle of the floor and I never tried to attempt to escape to their room again. I can no express the terror that these years have brought to me and to this day at 28 years old I still sleep with a very loud fan.
I don't know if you still get on here but in the off chance that you do feel free to pm me at qvultaggio [at] gmail.com It would be nice to speak with someone who may have experienced and has an idea of what happened to me. For so many years I just chucked it up to "sleep paralysis" but the only thing is I was not paralyzed until those final moments. Up until this I could move freely.

If you don't want that Incubus inside your house then try to bless the house if you want to. Or just talk to the priest.

Thanks for everyone who has commented! I haven't had access to a computer lately, so sorry if I'm a little late, but I really appreciate your feedback.

Firstly, thank you Sarah84 for your kind words and encouragement

Rustum, yes I actually did start menstruating the morning after the "attack". That's also an interesting theory you have there.

Rozo, I was not involved in paranormal activity of any kind at camp (lol it was a math and science camp:P), but I did hear that my residence hall was supposedly haunted. However, I feel it is unlikely that anything like that followed me home.

LenaS1991, thanks for the advice; I'll be sure to try the golden shell, but I think the activity has died away, although I do get weird dreams about being attacked by an incubus. These dreams might only be due to my over reactive imagination triggered by my recent attack, but I always feel myself unable to move physically during these "dreams".

Zetafornow, I was at a math and science camp for four weeks, and I did not have any experiences out of the ordinary. I have tried telling my dad, but I only told him that I felt someone on my bed that night moving my blankets and what felt like my neck being licked. He didn't believe me and thought I was imagining something. And yes, I have held a fascination for the paranormal all my life because I find the field interesting. I do remember when I was in about 2nd or 3rd grade, I was playing the piano when I felt someone poke me on the back, like with the point of their finger. It really freaked me out as there seemed to be no explanation for it because nobody was in the room with me. Maybe that's what got it started, I don't know.

Alisonclare, I can't really say anything about the potential "dangerousness" of the incubus, but yes I have heard many contrasting opinions on what its true nature may be. For example, take the common Wikipedia definition of the incubus being some sort of energy sucking demon who steals male sperm and tries to impregnate human females. This seems to be what the majority of people see as the "norm" of incubi, but I have also come across victims on the web whose encounters seem to celebrate and even glorify their "relationships" with the incubus. Something I find particularly interesting are the alleged "long-term relationships" some people claim to have with an incubus and or succubus.

Yes Yvonne, it is very real and I understand the embarrassment factor that's associated with this. I also admit that sometimes I'm still a little scared and that's why I have been sleeping with the lights on. But I hope you'll overcome your obstacles and find peace.

Nargacuga14, all I can say to you is keep living the way you're living and enjoy the most of your life while you can without the paranormal...:P

Before I make this post any more longer, I would like to note something that I did not include in my account. Before camp, I had been experimenting with and also experiencing OBEs, and I'm wondering if this could have opened any doors...?

Sorry for this being so long;)

Cheers to all

Everyone is saying how this is an evil spirit however I'm not so sure, why would a spirit who is sexually attracted to you cuddle you around your waist? I think it may be a spirit who is attracted to you, not necessarily dangerous but may become dangerous for a future partner:)

Interesting story. I have a couple of questions for you. What type of camp were you at and did you have any experience there out of the ordinary? Also, did you tell you parents about these experiences? And it states that you are a teen... But you say you have had a fascination with incubi/paranormal for all of your life. Do you know why that is? Do you think something may have happened to you when you were younger?

Thanks, zeta.

I remember having a similar experience couple of years ago. I then talked to my mother about it and she helped me. She told me that before I go to sleep I had to imagine that i'm wrapping myself in a golden silk blanket to protect my mind and my body. It might sound weird but I guess a golden shell is very pure. At first it was difficult, espacically when you're scared but after a while I could sleep again. And weeks later all these strange things were gone, they just left. Maybe this could help you too. And I'm sorry for the mistakes, I'm german:p

Beanie, this sounds awful! Frightening and terrible! Please go and seek some assistance to help you get rid of this evil.
I am just asking because I like to cover all my tracks... Did you by any chance get involved in any paranormal activities on Summer camp?
You might have brought something home with you?
Whatever the case, please seek some more advice and help! This sounds really disturbing!
Good luck Beanie!

Yes looks like you have a bad entity which is attracted to you. Tell me something, if you can remember, were you menstruating at the time you had these experiences? I know you're probably thinking wth?, but reason I am asking is that demonic entities and especially incubus are attracted go the scent of menstruating females and can become aroused enough to pestef you and abuse your physical body for their pleasure when you are not fully concious.

i am a teenaer also and have suffered sleep paralysis once before in my life. It sounds to me like you have an Incubus 'attacking' you. Unfornunatly I don't know how to help you but I might suggest cleansing your house. You can find a variety of simple methods to do this on the internet. I hope that you are okay.
Blessed be 😊
