The Apologetic Ghost

In the 70's, as a very young girl of about 4, I had to share a bedroom with my older sister in our house in Main Road, Strand. Many a night I would see these odd monster like "faces" swarming around the room and when it got too bad to handle I would have to pluck up the courage to jump out of my bed and dash to my parents' bedroom next to us. My dad would get upset with my mom for letting me sleep in their bedroom on these nights but she always ignored his moaning (thank goodness!)

It was only many, many years later, when I was about 20, when my father told me what really happened back at that house and why my mom probably always allowed me to seek comfort with them. My mother, you see, was psychic and also a medium, but very much an unwilling one. These entities and energies were forever drawn to her, appearing to her, talking to her etc. She got pretty annoyed with them at times and didn't really want to explore her gift like people want to do nowadays.

A few years after her and my dad got married they decided to get her her own little car. They heard of a family friend who had an old VW Beetle he wanted to get rid of. He told her she could buy it from him and arrangements were made. Unfortunately he must have had some serious problems in his life for not long thereafter he committed suicide by blowing his head off with a shotgun. As you can imagine this could not have been a pretty sight and this unfortunately is how he appeared to my mother in that house of ours in Main Road! She woke up one night with him standing next to her bed, obviously trying to apologize for the deal that will not be able to go through anymore... This is but one of many shocking paranormal moments my poor mother had to endure in her life.

Strange but true. For this reason my mother must've understood my fear exactly when I explained to her on those nights what I saw in my little mind. Bless her heart. My "seeing" and "sensing" continued but those are stories for later which I will share with you soon.:-)

zeeburger - believe it or not there are tons of stories, and I do mean tons, that are submitted for publishing. And not all of the stories are "reader friendly" and ready to go. Some of them actually have to have some editing done, while others are discarded because they don't meet the requirements for our site. We read each story as it hits our screen, which also takes time.

You aren't the only one is affected by this. Everyone is. Even mods when we submit our own experiences. We can't reach into the queue and pull out a certain story. They come up in the order they are submitted.

If you wish to submit your story, please do. We'll continue editing and hopefully get to yours as quickly as possible.

Thank you ChrisB:-)

Yes I've slowly started getting back in touch. I feel I can handle it better now but it's a slow process, this journey. Need lots of help but I'm getting there. Will submit more stories soon, just a pity they take so long to publish. Watch this space;-)

Sadly my mother passed away when I was 12. My dad and step mother did get somebody to cleanse the house eventually - they still felt a presence I suppose. By now all the houses in the Main Road have been converted to businesses (ours into Magson's Marine to be specific). If he is still around I suppose there are a few scared workers! I do hope he's at peace now though...

Welcome to YGS!

Have you asked your mother about the faces that you've seen in your room?

Does your parents still live in the same house? If so, has anything else happened?
