As many of us have found, by first-hand experience or just by others' stories, renovations are sometimes the best (or worst, depending upon whom you disturb) way to find out if your home already has someone "living" there. What you and Donna did is the nicest, and best in my opinion, way to approach it. A lot of times an explanation and apology goes a long way and soothes hurt feelings. Unfortunately in some cases it doesn't, as some of our other members have found.

It sounds as if you have both residual and intelligent ghosts and that would definitely make it an interesting place to live. I would enjoy reading more about the ghosts who share your farm when you have time 😊
