These are some etremely creepy experiences. Especially when the black figure crawled over to the bed. 😨 It sounds like whatever this thing is it's aware of your presence in the house, and is doing it's best to get your attention and scare you.
I would definitely try Rook's cleansing method. People have had great success with it. Good luck, and stay safe. ❤

What a chilling tale. I don't really have anymore suggestions than what's been said. Thanks for sharing, very chilling tale!

MrsNutty,

Thanks for sharing your story. You said that the activity stopped out of the blue and started again 5 months ago. Do you remember doing or not doing something in that period of time?

I'm sorry if the question seems weird or irrelevant, I am just trying to learn and understand.

I Hope you Follow Rook's suggestion on the cleansing.
Good Luck, Light & Love

MrsNutty,

Welcome and thank you for sharing. I am a 20 year Navy Vet and spent some time in base housing myself (I'm glad your Husband returned safe). Many of the Buildings are very old and have had lots of Families live in them over the years. Lots of energy and emotions over time can lead to a residual haunting, which may be what you are experieiceing when you hear the voices and purhaps some of the shadows in the hallway. A good place to start would be to find out the age of the housing units you are in... If they are new see if they are build over an area that contained older housing units.

You have only been in the home for a year... There is a chance that this 'other figure' could be a former resident that has passed away and does not realize it and due to this he is 'looking' for his Family (If possible you may try to find out why the last Family moved out of your home, I pray it was not bad news for the Family).

You've asked for help I suggest this, I use it for my Home and Family and others here on site have used it as well...

Recipe for a Home Cleansing/Shielding... (allow for two or 3 days to complete)

Day one: Open all curtains window and doors with screens installed, let fresh air and sunshine into the home. Have all closets, cabinets and other 'dark spaces' open so that as much natural light as possible can enter those spaces. After 2-3 hours take a broom and 'sweep' out each room (this is symbolic and you do not have to really sweep) focus your thoughts on sweeping (pushing) out all negative energies / entities /thoughts. Close home up after completing each room of your home... Please do not forget your garage if you have one. (Optional) Light incense (sandalwood or Dragons-blood works well for me) and let aroma fill the home, and/or play a tape that contains your favorite Church/Positive, Upbeat (songs that give you good thoughts) songs before you begin sweeping.

Day two (or three): Once again open all curtains, windows and doors. Take a White candle (Optional) to the center most point of the home, sit on the floor and place candle in front of you. Light the candle (visualize a white ball of light) and then focus on the flame... Visualize the flame (white light) filled with positive thoughts, energy. (Say a prayer at this time if you so desire... Ask for cleansing positive energy to fill the candles flame/white light). Hold this 'image' in your mind and then visualize the flame (light) slowly expanding outward, visualize it filling the room your in, every corner and 'dark space'. Continue to visualize it expanding...it's outer edges pushing away (burning away) any and all negative energies/entities out and away from each room in your home. Once you have visualized this flame (light) filling your entire home, picture it expanding to your property lines. Hold this image in your mind for a few moments then visualize 'anchoring' this flame (light) where you are sitting which is the center most point of your home. Once you have done this. Take a deep breath, relax a few moments and then blow out the candle. (If you didn't use a candle just let yourself relax a moment or two.) "

Now you can create a shield for yourself using the 'home shield' technique but instead of focusing on your home visualize the 'flame' simply surrounding you instead of your home... Best time to do this is after a nice shower using a rosemary scented soap (rosemary is good for purification and protection.)

If you are Religious then by all means contact your Clergy and ask for there advice/aid in this matter as well. Please keep us updated.

Respectfully,

Rook

I was twenty years US Army and I know those old posts have more than their share of ghosts. MY ADVICE: get to an off-post Catholic Church and ask for help - I say off post because army chaplains are pretty unspiritual generic these days. Catholic because they generally are more knowledgeable on these matters. For that matter, pray to God to send His angels to protection to you.

The man is just a black silhouette, so I don't know if he's in uniform. And our stress and circumstances could very well be feeding the fire. We just need to figure out how to get this thing out of our house for good. Any ideas on how to do that?
And if it is in fact a past military serviceman that was lost in combat, I don't want to harm him in the process. I would like this to be peaceful. If it's something else...well, I'll do whatever it takes.

This is one of the most frightening accounts I have read here. I have never lived on or near a base or in a military house, but I can imagine the fear, loss, frustration and other strong emotions that could be absorbed by the environment here. HappySpirit is correct that your own feelings may add strength to that energy. Please take care.

Wow. Is the man you're seinge in military uniform? Am wondering whether it's the ghost of a serviceman killed in combat. Certainly both you and your husband - and your friends - must be under stress during deployment, and that might also be adding to the energy surrounding these sightings. I'm glad your husband came home safely.
