Thank you for your help Autumn; it's deeply appreciated considering where all this is coming from. I would also like to thank your family for allowing you to reveal all this to me.

I will try your suggestions in the most respectful way. She really has to stop this now and let go of old history but she has never been an enemy to me. She has never attempted to hurt me and I hope that will not change!

Alrighty Tammy, I am about to show the world (or at least those on this site) just how different I really am.
As you are being sorely bothered by this ghost, I need to point out a few of the "family secrets". I am sorry I could not give them much sooner, but I DID have to recieve permission.
Wearing a mirror around your neck, or sewing a bit of it into your clothing is a way to ward off evil (or mean) ghosts. The ghost is supposed to see their vision, and shy away from you. It IS folklore, but it HAS been used before and worked wonderfully.
The following OILS may be used to protect against any being that appears to be less than friendly: Coconut, Dragons Blood, Frankincense, Juniper, Mint, Myrrh, Rosemary and Sandalwood. You simply rub a bit of the oil on your self or your clothing (be careful, some of them are quite strong scents, and some may also discolor your clothing) When it comes time to help her Cross Over, some of them can also be burned as well.
There are also herbs that you can cook with that release their potency into the air, and when you injest them by eating, they perform a protective barrier for you and those who share your table. Check for allergies before creating a masterpiece meal using them, though. Those are Angelica, Caraway, Fennel, Hazel, PURE salt, Vervain, there are more, but I do not want to weigh you down with all of them at one time.
I do hope these suggestions help out. You do need to be careful, as, like we all know, sometimes you can ANGER the ghost with trying to rid your home of it's presence. This one has been around you for a very long time, and seems to be increasing it's activity.
Feel free to e-mail me.
Thank you. Autumn

Draycon thank you for commenting. Nothing is far-fetched when it comes to the supernatural! Every suggestion encourages a new thought and every new thought brings one closer to the answers they seek.

Take care

Meena thank you for your comment and your supportive words. You're right about my distance being the wrong thing but this was not my choice completely. I think we frighten those who wish to remain blind to what's been revealed before their eyes. No matter what they see or hear, they prefer to stick to the material world since what is tangible is easily explained and comprehensible. "It does not disturb the order of things!" Very funny.

We'll talk soon. Thank you again my friend!

Brian thank you for your post to my story-you've been very precise in your estimation of the lady visitor and, at the same time, given me a lot to think about. She does interrupt my prayers and that is something I never thought she might be doing on purpose and yet, it makes a lot of sense now. Maybe she is trying to say she's not ready to leave yet and fears that my prayers might just make her do that. As for her lullaby while I'm asleep, again you're right on the target. I don't think she's my grandmother or that she thinks I'm her child. I do think, though, she likes to take up the role of my mother to make up for the loss she suffered in her life.

Thank you so much!

Maybe the spirits needs you in some way or for some reason. I know far fetched but there is cause for thought

Hi Tammy,
I can relate to a little of what you are feeling, it sounds a little familiar. I know you'll understand what I am saying. MNPROPHET may be right, have you looked at it from a different prespective? I don't know if you want to try but burn some pure sandlewood, they say it wards of bad and unwanted energies. Even people with bad intentions cannot stand the smell of sandlewood. It is just a suggestion. Mora try to be strong, don't shut the ones you love out. You can always email on my private email if you want to.

I can see the anxiety in the words you write, but I wonder if you should take a deep breath and look from a different perspective.

You have tried a cleansing, to no avail. Maybe your female entity can not leave until she completes what ever task is at hand. She interupts your prayers, with a gentle poking, almost like she needs you to stop or it is not neccesary. She sits and watches over you at night, as if studying your features... Not uncharistically of a Grandma or a mother?

Finally a last thought, you fall asleep with out doing your nightly ritual of comforting prayers. Your female ghost chimes in with a gentle lullaby of her own?

Guardian angle?

Dear Grandma?

Her purpose may not yet be complete? The thought of you being seperated from your loved ones, is sad.

Best of luck, and thanks for the posting.Brian

Hi Tonith-thanks for commenting. You've got a point about the stress factor. It's partly why she's still around I suppose. My weakness becomes her strength. If it was just me sensing her I'd be examining the whole incident from another perpective. There have been cases of poltergeist activity around older adults as opposed to teenagers but, in this case, I know who she is. She had once been a real person, living a real life and the reason she's still around is the fact that this life was not fully lived-not fully enjoyed.

I've asked the help of professionals before and not once. They only confirm her identity but they were wrong about one thing. She's not 'free to wander' as they estimated. She's bound by her guilt and the life she has not lived and refuses to move on. I can't draw any more attention on me in this small island I live. I will have to deal with this on my own.

Thank you again for your suggestions. They're much appreciated!

I have tried Autumn but like you very well pointed out it's a matter of "trial and error"- I haven't been successful yet. She has never directly "responded" to my invitations to cross over. And yet, her lullaby is her way of saying "I'm home". My problem has been that I haven't been firm enough. I sense her reluctance and fear and I identify with that. I back down since I'm uncertain about WHERE I'm sending her. I know why I'm so hesitant myself-you know the reason too but you're right-I have not yet been demanding.

Thank you for your comment. You always know how to push the right buttons!

Tammy ❤

They say these entities feed off fear. You seem to have taken many steps to rid yourself of this entity but you don't seem to be having much success. I have never been haunted but apparently many have. Maybe it's time to take charge and order this thing out of your house. There are people that deal with these kinds of situations and know what to do. Ministers may not have all the answers so maybe it's time to call in a professional. Most of these people that do this kind of work have a deep regard for faith and prayer but they are not intimidated by spirits so to me they have a gift to help others who are being tormented. God can work in mysterious ways so don't rule out a ghostbuster until you have tried it. I am never sure about these kinds of hauntings being real or due to psychological stress but that is not for me to judge. If it were me I would be checking out all venues.

I am wondering, Tammy. Has there ever been a point in time in which you stood up TO her and told her this was the time to move on?
I read that you did not back down from her, but have you ever sensed her presence, and walked up to where she was, and DEMANDED that she leave your presence? Not shouting at her, I would not suggest that in this instance, but telling her very firmly, and leaving no room for misinterpretation, TOLD her that her presence is REQUIRED on the Other Side?
Be the assertive one in this case. There are just some beings in which the "average" way in which to help them does not work. It is all trial and error, and at times it seems more error than success, but do not give up.
You have prayed, you have mourned, you have identified with, and now it is time to clear your home of her. It may take a few times, but confront her.
Thank you.
