While I think it's admirable that you desire to help your friend you must also keep yourself safe
The fact is you can't be sure what's going on with him. He could be a real danger to himself and those he is around. I think it best if he were kept under a doctor or other medical professionals
Supervision until his condition be diagnosed and treated
Although this could be paranormal I think it needs to start with physical and mental evaluations
