Miracles,
That's what I was thinking, he's pretty dang cool. I've still only really caught sight of them out of the corner of my eye. Not that I'm looking forward to facing one down, because that just isn't on my wish list this year. Nooooo thank you. πŸ˜‰

Jav - oh yeah, I definitely don't like the mirrors thing 😨. And that is the one room in my home I don't have a nightlight! That makes it even worse LOL. But the shadow man, he was pretty freakin cool actually.

Miracles,
Not only did I miss this one, but I just noticed a couple more! Well, it looks like I've got some reading to catch up on, huh? πŸ˜†

By the way, great story, this one! But I'm like you, no looking in the mirror when I feel a presence. It just gives me the willies!

mustang - I've been keeping a Journal since 2002 of ALL paranormal activity having to do with my kids and me. Everything except this man. I had completely forgotten about him until a story on here made me remember. I had my daughter read the story and she didn't even remember seeing the man herself. I told her everything she had told me about the man and she couldn't remember. She asked me why she couldn't remember him. I couldn't answer her. Her experiences with this man were different than yours in that she was wide awake when she saw him. Each and every time. Again, thank you.

Miracles51031~ I have thought of all the reasons why I would be getting these visits from this "Shadow Man" as well as the "others" that I've been visited/observed by and I was not going through anything traumatic at all when being visited by "him", inparticular. I've even wondered, more recently, if this "Shadow Man" is some type of alien being coming and observing. A lot of people might not be as sensitive to their presence so they are unaware of what is happening while they sleep. I really do not know how much I believe in alien abduction, but I believe that a lot of these people truly have been abducted, or truly believe they have been abducted. Maybe "they" pick and choose who the want to abduct. Or, maybe they are unable to abduct us sensatives because we wake up from sensing their presence and we could scream or alert others of their presence so they choose to leave to protect their identity. A bit far-fetched, I know, but when these things are frequently happening to you, you start to think of just about any kind of logical, not logical, WHATEVER kind of explanation you can find to piece together something. Think about it, this "Shadow Man", described exactly the same by everyone, has been seen all around the world. Start documenting, or have her start documenting every visit, time date, and what happened. Document anything paranormal that happens, especially if it is frequent.

mustang - this is kind of a personal question, but it could be relevant. Were you experiencing any emotional trauma during the 2 years you saw this man? I'm trying very hard to piece together a pattern to figure out what drew him to my daughter and others like her.

Thank you for answering my first question and in advance for this one, if you do.

Hi Miracles51031~ The only thing that I remember of this "Shadow Man" was that he always came at night, around 2:30-3:00am, and woke me out of a dead sleep. When I would wake up my eyes would instantly go directly to where "he" was. He started off in the corner of my room. I have never encountered him anywhere other than the bedroom. After the years went by, he would get closer and closer. This particular being started coming around when I was 19 years old until I was about 21 years old. The last time he came to me, he was at the foot of my bed, right in front of me. I thought he was my husband but when he didn't respond to me me, I just turned bsck over to go back to sleep and that's when I realized that my husband was laying right next to me. I turn back to look at him and sat up and as soon as I started to confront him, he darted off in sort of a fast glide out of my room. Before he even got to the door frame, he dissappeared. I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about it. It is still a pretty vivid memory for me. I have not seen him again. My husband has seen him only once in our house that we live in now. But he was observing my husband not me. I only remember all black. I felt he was a male. He was the shape of a male. He had a trenchcoat and a Fedora style hat. There were absolutely no detils to him at all. He was a darker black than night itself so he stood out in the dark. It was not pitch black in my bedroom though. The moonlight was shining through the mini blinds. But he was all black.

mustang - I didn't know where else to post this question, so I put it on one of my stories. I saw your recent comment and went back and reread your first story. This comment caught my attention because it is a topic that has recently been brought back to my mind. "The male figure that I have always encountered, only in my bedroom at night once I was asleep, never had facial features. He was dressed in the typical Fedora hat and trenchcoat. He came atleast once a year. He stopped coming to me around the year 1996. I may be off a bit with the year."

My daughter saw a very similar man when she was 14. She saw him for what seemed like months, but she was the only one who saw him. He never scared her, she felt no evil from him. She just said he knew she saw him. One day she stopped seeing him.

I was wondering how clearly you remember the details of this man.

Centellitaendoki9 - I have another story that I need to get on here. It actually is a compilation of events in our current home. I'll include the ghost my little boy has seen on a couple of occasions. Hopefully I can find time this weekend to get it submitted.

As for the openness with my kids, this is something I had to do. I never had that when I was growing up. My daughter was 14 before I told her about my life. That's when she told me she had also been experiencing things. She didn't remember most of the things when she was younger. So I've been really open with my little boy since he was old enough to understand what was going on. All kids need to be believed and know that they have someone to talk to about this kind of stuff.

Thanks for reading my story.

Centellitaendoki9 - I never saw that same Shadow Man again before we moved from there. My little boy and I both saw a different ghost while we lived there, though.

In the 16 months we've lived where we are now, my little boy has seen a ghost (always a black shadow) several times. This one is more like the one he saw in our other home. I haven't seen him yet. I've heard him a couple of times, though. Still waiting for him to let me catch a glimpse of him. 😊

wow...have you seen him again after that? I have a similar situation except I know this black figure is bad. He follows my younger brother around and I believe its because out of all of us in the family hes the most vulnerable. I always catch this dark figure looking at me but for some reason once I catch him he hides. Whenever I feel his presence it makes me extremely uncomfortable like hes invading my space and its hard to breathe the air around. My brother tell me all the time he feels as if hes being followed around and as if someone is putting weight down his shoulders. Several people that have stayed in his room have seen this figure also and won't be able to sleep.

That would explain what he was sorry for. I know it hurts, I have recently had my Great-Grandmother's spirit around the house. He's a wonderful person, but hanging on because my mother isn't ready to let her go. When she was dying, my mother was another state away, and couldn't leave. She never got to say goodbye, and telling a grave goodbye isn't the same.

I feel so sorry for the both of them, but I do what I can. You might just sit in a room, by yourself and talk to him. Tell him that you forgive him for not looking at you. I think that would be the best for the both of you.

And as always Good Luck! 😁

Hope - the last time I saw my grandpa he wouldn't look at me. He had skin cancer and the doctors had removed his nose in order to prepare him for a new one. He died of a heart attack in the hospital. I lived in Virginia at the time and was in a minor car accident (the car got the brunt of it, but my best friend and I were okay) and wasn't able to make it home for the funeral. I also didn't get to see him while he was in the hospital. He was supposed to come through the surgery just fine. He had a heart attack before the surgery.

I had called and checked on him the night before he died. My grandma told me he asked if she'd heard from me and she told him I'd called. The next morning I woke up at an odd time and knew my grandpa had died. A couple of minutes later my mom called to tell me he'd had a heart attack. I asked my grandma what time he died. Yep, the same time I woke up.

Anyway, that's why you're connecting us. My grandpa was a very proud man and was ashamed when the doctors removed his nose. I pleaded with him to look at me and tell me bye before I went back to Virginia. He wouldn't. That's my last memory of my grandpa: facing the wall in his bedroom with a tear running down his cheek.😒

And it's okay. You didn't offend. I love my grandpa.

Well then, I am glad that I was able to make a connection. I do get the feeling that you and him were close, I also get the feeling that he's sorry for something. I can't put my finger on what, but I get the feeling of great remorse. I don't know what he's sorry for, but he says sorry.

Again I hope that I don't upset you, I just feel like I needed to tell you.

Take care and Good Luck!😁

Hope, I've been advised that my maternal grandfather sticks pretty close to me.

I was concerned about Dalton for a little while. He seemed to not remember things that have happened. But then I think that's part of being an 8-year-old little boy. But when he saw the shadows in the hallway near Jerrica's room, that reaffirmed it for me. As well as something else that happened recently that I'm going to post soon.

Thank you, and no offense taken.

I must say that Dalton has to have the gift, expecially if he is seeing things with such a keen eye. He's such a wonderful child, I can tell from how you talk about him, and other feelings I get from reading the memories that you share. I think that he will do great things in life with this gift of his.

I have to ask, and I mean no offence by asking. But is your grandfather deceased? I have a rather elderly man that is staring at the screen as if he knows something that I don't. He's only around when I read your memories, which makes me wonder if he's conected to you. Again I mean no offence, just a question.

Good luck with Dalton and Jerrica both, I believe they both have a part of the gift! 😁

speaking of numbers, I've noticed a lot lately how numbers seem to play a significant role in history relating to the bible. I don't know if the Lord uses these because of traditional reasons because throughout the bible there's definetly certain ceremonies and traditions that are carried through to today, or if He uses them because of some mathmatical concept that we can't fully comprehend. Like the destruction of the first and second temple, or when the jews returned to their homeland and was recognized as a nation again, and many others. Numbers and the way they fall in everyway conscerning events seem to play a major role in everything. Interesting to say the least.

Pjod - thank you for your input. I appreciate it very much. Like I said, I didn't feel evil from him. I didn't feel anything so I have a hard time believing he was intent on doing harm.

Zeldafangirl4 - thank you and pretty cool story there yourself.

Sshields - πŸ˜† I know that if they're around they have to be watching me sleep and everything else. I just prefer not to think about all that. Kind of creeps me out a little.

I had a spirit sigh in my ear one night. That made me just a bit "OKAY?" when I realize he had to have been laying on the pillow next to me. I try not think about that too much!

Thank you.

Hey Hope - thanks a bunch for your kind words. Funny you should mention Dalton here. Last night he and I were lying on the couch watching TV and he pointed down the hallway toward Jerrica's bedroom and said "Mom, what's our ghost doing? I see him going back and forth, back and forth." I told him I knew what he was talking about. I see movement there a lot.

We live on a dead end road (yes, folks, it's just a road, not a street πŸ˜†) and my parents are my neighbors. Hmmm... Maybe we're their neighbors. Oh well, anyway. There's nothing out there that would make the black shadows he and I see. My parents are not night owls and there are no "street lights" or anything like that. Although lights would typically shine in the window, not cast black shadows (without light) between the window and Jerrica's door.

Again, Hope. Thanks.

DARKNESS - yes, you're correct. The other shadow I saw definitely was not the same one. I'm not even sure whether or not Dalton saw either of the two I saw. Heck, he could have seen a different one.

I do remember whitebuffalo's explanation about shadow people, now that you mention it. I'm going to have to go back and reread it.

Thanks for your comments and for reminding me.

vulcan10 - no, he wasn't bending or anything. He was (to use your words) just walking through like our reality didn't even register to him. That is exactly what he was doing. I don't think "we" existed to him.

I think there's a lot more to shadow people than on the surface. Maybe one day "the right minds" will take it seriously.

Thank you.

Almost sounds like a residual (again pardon the poor spelling) haunt. The way you described his lack of interesting in interacting with you guys, I'd say that is what it was.

And again, keep an eye on Dalton, the more stories you tell and I read it seems to me that he deffinately has the gift of seeing. I wish him the best, and having such an understanding mother as you will help a lot. He knows he can talk to you, and that is going to be around the best gift you can give him.

As always, thanks for sharing the memory!😁

Hey Jim, Just started reading a book called Dark Sacrament, written by one who got their info from Exorcists-- the very begin of the book, they stress that while Demonic poss does begin with paranormal activity, not all paranormal activity is of demonic influence. Even the church recognizes the 3 levels of entity-- and while the low level spirit can appear evil, it is still the spirit of a once human... Who continues to try and torture the living. These low level spirits should be treated as such, and not assumed to be demonic.

Great story... I used to see shadow people all the time and I don't believe they'll harm us... Actually I've had them warn me! My Grandma was in the hospital once and we thought she wouldn't make it and I saw one about the size of my lil sister duck behind the couch from on a futon mattress that I was on in floor (I have bad arthritis and need to be near someone sometimes) and I just got this feeling she (my gran) would be fine (I know it wasn't my sisters or brother cause they where in the room with me!)

The whole three theory can really start to do your head in if you go to in depth I reckon lol zzgranny, Devious'story was very full on but very enjoyable at that.

Hi Miracles as mentioned this shadow person could just be passing through you did mention you had seen other shadows but not the same as this one am I correct? Whitebuffalo had a good description on what shadow people may be I have heard they appear that way as they do not have enough energy to manifest themselves properly. Although I could be completely wrong you get that sometimes lol.

Thank you for sharing

Hey guys: A lot of times it's not only the date, but time of day, number of incidents, or like in Devious' story the room number, the caliber of gun, number of people involved, etc... THAT story was way crazy! πŸ˜†... I have been paying attention to the "threes" in the stories posted since that thread, and I gotta say, nearly ALL of them, in one way or another, or multiple ways include the number three...It's cool, if you think about it!...Don't know what it is, but it's there alright!

Miracles: this is a good story and your analogies are great!...I love Alfred Hitchcock, and every time I see his profile, I laugh!...I agree with Cosmo, that he was probably just passing through... They do that, sometimes 😊

I love your sense of humor... You need it when you deal with the stuff we do!... ❀

Sundaydrive - I'd forgotten about the 3 theory until you mentioned it. Here's something you guys might find interesting. In this posting, I just put (May). I just checked my journal (I have it on my flashdrive) and the actual date in May that I saw "Alfred" was...ready? May 27, 2007. Now if that doesn't just make you go hmmm?

I'm going to go through my journal and see how many of the entries (that I remembered to put the exact date on) actually break down into 3. I'll let you know if it's worth mentioning.

Vulcan10, JimD, and MissHill - I'm not ignoring your comments. I'm at work -- so I was just quickly looking at things and found that date thing to be pretty weird. I'll get back with you in a little while.

Hi, I hate to disagree, but it was the beginning of demonic infestation. It may simmer for a while, but it will reappear - often with a vengence. Was he bending to pick up something or just walking through like our reality didn't even register to him? I have a friend who told me of seeing shadow people but hers was on the scary evil side. I've heard and read about them but they are indeed illusive. I like to read papers and books on new mathmatical conscepts and even though I do believe in alternate dimensions its really hard to picture in any logical way in my mind. I really think the study of shadow people would benefit us on many levels, up to and not limited to alternative power sources for travel to other planets and galaxies, peeking into other dimensions ourselves, or who knows what. The potential for things given the proper study and not imediate rejection, would be open to the imagination if the right minds would take it seriously.

Pjod - I honestly have no idea. He truly didn't even seem to realize there was anything/anyone else there. Granted I was in the bedroom, but still...
I really believe he was just so intent on doing what he was supposed to be doing that we didn't matter. We lived there for 2 1/2 years and I never saw him again. I did see another shadow while we lived there, but definitely not the same one. The other one, instead of looking like Alfred Hitchcock, more closely resembled Ichabod Crane, you know tall and lean. (I like character analogiesπŸ˜†)
Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate it.
Anybody have any concrete information on shadow people? Or websites that are pretty informative? I really haven't researched them, other than reading other peoples submissions.
Thanks a bunch!
