I've looked up images of Lonavala and was struck by how green and craggy it looked. I have visited the Scottish highlands and I think a Scotsman would feel at home in the Western Ghats.
Now, to your experience. I've had a bad case of food poisoning, so I started thinking that it was possible that this is what happened to you, but I realized that food poisoning does not disappear in seconds.
I get the impression that your GraUnc and GrAunt loved you very much so was there another person that harbored ill will towards the family, particularly GraUnc and you?
Interesting that our First Australians had a similar curse - called 'pointing the bone' which would need intervention by the Tribal Elders to cure.
Family is everything.
