Hey Daz, so sorry I'm getting back to you so late. Things have been pretty crazy lately. It's funny you should mention that if I wanted to open myself up more to them I could because I was thinking the same thing the other night. I'm not really sure how I would react to seeing spirits on a regular basis. The last time I saw a full body apartion I ran out of my building like it was on fire. LOL! But I was also a teenager at the time. I think you are right in saying that this spirit decided to make himself known to me in a softer sense because I was not participating in the jokes. Thanks Daz 😊

Cosmogal, I believe you were in a communitive state of consciousness... And this spirit saw an opportunity to let you know he was there... The fact that you didn't dismiss or ridiculed his existence led to a more softer type of acknowledgment, as you know than can be rough especially if they are being ridiculed... I think you have the ability to further your awareness and open yourself up to more if you want...I'm not sure if I have asked you this before, but how would you react on the scale of fear if you started seeing them more often?... Cause I believe if they know you can handle them, they will make them selfs known to you... Thanks for sharing Mate...

it could possibly be that janes ghost had visted everyone that night, or maybe your friend nightly, but no one was able to see him. OR it could of just been your hubby playing a mean joke on you! Men do have a weird sense of humor! But I'm voting for the former.

overly medicated, drunk and disorderly. It would be better for the staff if they just let the inmates run the asylum. LOL! πŸ˜†

Loganz_sis: The reason why I believe it was the spirit that my friend's neighbor claimed to have a relationship was because it was the main topic of conversation for quite a while that day. Nobody else on the cul-de-sac spoke about having any activity going on their homes. My friend had not experienced anything in her home when she moved in or since my experience occurred. I hope that answers your question. Thanks for the comment 😊

DC: Thank you LOL! I guess I didn't feel threatened or like it wanted to hurt me. So going back for visits was never an issue for me. Or maybe I'm just loonie. πŸ˜† ❀

Strange! Any reason why we are assuming that this is the same guy as your neighbor sees?
If it was then definitely a clever fellow.

Thanks so much for the comments everyone! 😁

Granny: you hit the nail on the head. My friend won't talk about her anymore because she does not want to be paid a visit. Guess he saw my experience as a warning sign. LOL!

WB: you can borrow anything you want from me, words, mc hammer pants, a cup of sugar. Whatever... It's yours. LOL! I found it odd too how I didn't participate in the jokes but yet he chose to make himself known to me. Who knows how these ghosties think.

Nightingale: Yes indeed he definitely made his point. LOL! Thank you, I'm happy you enjoyed my story.

Darkness: I will never forget that giggle it's like burned into my memory. I never know when I am having an experience until after the fact. I am always quick to think I'm imagining it, or blame someone for it. Like I did my poor hubby. I even got annoyed with it and was like... CUT IT OUT! LOL! πŸ˜†

Thief47: you could be on to something there. Maybe he did see that I wasn't participating and decided he would joke around with me a little. Thank you for letting me think about it in a different way.

That ghost probally enjoyed the jokes and you were the only one that was not saying anything so it wanted to cheer you up I was just guessing, anyway I am glad that it did not harm you

Cosmo awesome story! Of all things it had to laugh like a clown, geez they are good, I'm glad you thought it was your husband and then fell back asleep would have been a bit offputting otherwise lol. As already mentioned it came to you because of your spiritual open mindedness I believe. Thanks for another great story Cosmo. 😁

Wow. How wild is that? My lands. I guess he really DID have the last laugh, freaky (sorry, borrowed the word) as it may have been.
That is kind of curious how YOU were the only one not acknowledging the ghost (Did you catch that?), and yet YOU were the one he decided to make himself known to.
How very...interesting.
Wado!

Cosmo: LOL! You did really well by not completely freaking out after that!...I think I would have!...Well, I probably would have started laughing uncontrolably πŸ˜†...It's nice to know that your friend doesn't talk and joke around about this person anymore, she probably doesn't want a visitor herself! πŸ˜†

Great story!...Straight to my faves! ❀

LOL Thanks Miracles 😊 I probably would have said something if I had been there a couple of times and got to know her neighbors, but it was the first time we were there and I didn't know anybody. So I just stood quiet. You know I asked myself the same thing. Why me? But then again I always seem to ask myself that so you are probably right and he came to me because he knew I would hear/feel him. The giggling did freak me out after I realized it wasn't Pat, and sounding like a clown is the best way I can describe it. It was like that mocking giggle. If that makes any sense. LOL 😜

Cosmogal - OMG, first I have to say kudos to you for not making fun of Jane or her ghost. As if you would, right? πŸ˜‰ And second, crap! It's one thing to have a ghost sit on the bed beside you (that still freaks me out when it happens!), but to have "him" place his hands on your hip and shake you? No matter how "seasoned" in the ghostly thing I am, that would freak me out! OK, gotta admit when you said clown laughter, that made me think of IT. Ugh! Anyway.

I started to ask you this question. "Wonder why he chose you, though? I mean, out of everyone, you were the one who DIDN'T participate in the jokes and laughter." But then I realized that maybe you were the only one who COULD see/hear him.

Great story, Jenn!
