I didn't know that black magic, which is cast to hurt or kill people, was considered a "gift". I would like to know the opinion of a Wiccan or a White Witch on this one.

I, for one, am relieved to know that you no longer have many experiences and I am glad you haven't inherited your great grandma's "ability" or will to hurt others for whatever reason.

Perhaps you've been saved by returning to your church.

You may want to talk with your Bishop about how to reconcile this 'gift' along with your standing in the Aaronic priesthood.

[at] Nysa: Thats the thing I wonder about. I don't know if it's inherited or a byproduct of what she did. I just know that whatever it is, it comes from her. Another interesting fact is that she taught my mother how to read tarot cards and stuff like that. (Believe me when I tell you this. My mother can read you like an open book!)

That is interesting. Do you believe that she bestowed the ability on her descendants magically or that it is an inhereted trait of those in her bloodline?
