Lou,
HOLY CRAPOLY! (granny got here first 😆)
I will never look at crows the same way again. The vision in my mind of you driving along with them as your escorts, will stay with me forever. Despite the annoyance, and the underlying questions of what the heck they are doing/ what do they want, and why? That is one scene I wouldn't mind seeing myself. Too cool...
Okay, the part about Jacob being a 'Soul Collector' really hit me hard. Not because the thought had never occurred to me, I always knew he was, it was reading the words outright that sent a chill up my spine. The thought of him coming back bothers the hell out of me. And of course he will strike where he thinks he can instill fear "She said he was really tall, and he was dressed like Abraham Lincoln... ", I got a sinking feeling hit me in the gut. And no matter that you are prevented from confronting him, and I can just imagine how badly you must want to. I have to think that if it is possible for him to get as close as he did then it has to be possible for you as well. If balance is the key, it stands to reason that whatever he can do from that side, must also have an equivalent on this side.
I have to say, for those of us that have been following your experiences with Jacob, we all feel invested in whatever occurs involving him. So thank you for letting us in on these events. And though you may feel comfortable in knowing he is being held back from causing the sort of problems he is known for, I have to think that he won't give up that easily. Just the fact that he was able to show himself again bothers the hell out of me. That sinking feeling, and the chill it sent up my spine, are just as real to me as seeing him appear. But... You would know better than me about this guy.
As long as you are satisfied that whatever is holding him back will keep him from your family, then I am trying hard to be as well.
The only real danger I can see, is that which is posed to him.
He has to face you.

Lou: Holy crap!...And I say that with full sincerity... This is just plain creepy, and I hope Jacob knows enough to stay away...

You say that the crows are around you mostly but does anyone in your family or your employees notice them when you're not around?...
