Shadow Of A Man

I have always found ghost stories, videos, recordings, or anything paranormal interesting. I've had my experiences, when I was 4 years old, I remember waking up in the middle of the night, and hearing footsteps outside my room. I was very scared because the footsteps stopped right at my doorway. I called out "daddy?" and there was no answer. I got out of bed and walked to look out into the hallway. No one was there. I could feel my heart pounding so fast it may have been in my throat. The only reason I called out for my father was because there was a shadow of a man on my door, the shape looked like my dad. The shadow was very still, and only twitched a little bit. I called out daddy again and the figure ran away. I jumped back into bed and cried myself to sleep, as scared as can be.

When I was 13 I was upstairs in my room listening to music and reading a book. Typical teenage activities I guess. My parents were going out of town and just as they were leaving the house, I turned my head to look out my window when I saw the blind shaking furiously. I was only staring at it, wondering what the heck was going on. The blind lifted away from the window slowly and then was slammed against the wall. I never said anything but ran out of my room. I was breathless when I reached the bottom of the stairs. My parents looked at me like I have erupted in a panic attack. They looked at me and then at my room. I told them what happened, and they said "oh honey, the wind probably blew it into the air." Wow, okay, of course they wouldn't believe me...

I am now 18, and haven't really had any more incidents. But thinking back to the blind incident I believe that the man I saw was the one who was messing with my blind. The man hasn't hurt me and is not aggressive. I think he is mischievous, and maybe protective. I thought he was my dad when I was 4. Maybe he was trying to let me know that he's there and that I'm not alone. I sometimes feel that I am. I believe that he may have had a daughter and misses her or something. Maybe that's why he's always with me. I don't talk to him, I don't want to provoke him. But I'm not scared of him. And I love having him around. He is warm when I can feel his presence in my room. But I want to know what my readers think. If you think you might know why he is with me I'd really appreciate it, thank you

well I might actually look up the history, I really want to know why this man is still here, he sometimes wakes me up at 2 am, and I can't sleep after that... I don't know what I can do, I ignore him, and I can't afford to get a preist to bless my house... If I talk to him, I'm afraid that he might get pushed more towards me, and I want him to either go further away or stay where he is... Any closer and I might start fearing for my life...

Interesting story (:
I like it & "redphx" I agree with you he could be trying to get your attention but he seems harmless if I were you I would go get the history of the house checked out so you might be able to understand more about why he's still lingering around & why he wants your attention & hasn't really tried communicating with your parents there could be some sort of connection. Thanks for sharing love, Vanessa (: ❤

That was an interesting story to read. So sorry to hear about the passing of your grandmother, and I know what it is like to have parents that don't believe right away (in regards to the blinds incedent).

I had a camera resting on a shelf, and it got yanked off in a way that it missed the dresser down below it and it landed on the ground, and my parents told me it just fell.

If it had just fallen it would have landed on the dresser, not land on the ground in front of it (going to post a story with more info so people can read it).

Good to hear he has taken a fatherly role and isn't being aggressive or anything like that towards you or your family.

Peace

well, christmas last year, we were watching a movie and the volume started to go up to the max on its own. My mom went over to the stereo and waved her hands and told the presence to go away and it did. But we have more then one. The man who I thought was my dad still hangs around in my room and then there is a boy no older then my brother (who is 20 years old.) but he doesn't really do anything scary. More or less I believe he is shy. <Shawnee>

Theredbirdofmysoul: Firstly sorry about the loss of your Grandmother, I think there may still be a presence residing within your home and he probably wants a little acknowledgement from time to time. I can understand why you were so afraid with the blinds, has anything else happened in your home? Has your family ever witnessed anything?

Thanks for sharing.

actually yes he has done more fatherly like actions. I recently loss my grandmother, and she was like a mother to me. When I was at her funeral, I felt a firm yet gentle touch on my shoulder, reading back on my story its kind of confusing hehe 🤔

Have you had any other things happen that would give you the impression he is a father figure protecting you? I mean shaking blinds is kind of scary and I wouldn't think that a protection spirit would try to frighten you. Maybe get your attention nicely. I am just wondering 😕
