Haunted House Share

I want your thoughts on my experience. I moved into my first house share I was 18. I had some strange things happen. Now the house share was a converted mansion in South Manchester and the story of the house was back in 1981 the owner of the Mansion killed his wife by choking her and he was arrested and later died in prison with AIDS, well that was the story. Anyway I didn't mind the tale and lived in the room I was renting and this room I was living in was the master bedroom.

After a week In the room the air would go very cold that I could see my breath (BTW the heating was always on) and the lights would flicker like there was a shortage or something but I brushed it off thinking of logical reasons but there was one night I will never forget.

I was watching a DVD of Most Haunted (an English ghost hunters) and they were asking is there anyone there could you give us a sign, suddenly my DVD couldn't read the disc and then the DVD tray opened on its own and my TV turned itself off and a bright orb drifted from the TV to the ceiling ever since that night my TV and DVD player have never worked.

Another experience I had in that mansion was when I was getting out of the bath and a female voice said Adam as clear as day I was home alone that day, I asked the other tenants if they had any experiences and they said no which was weird.

Now I don't get Hauntings but I will say that every time I watch Most Haunted I get some response when the people on the show ask if anyone's there do you think spirits can hear the TV and think you're asking them?

So does anyone think I'm crazy or did I have a paranormal encounter?

hey! No bother... I think the ghost have fall in love with you... (sounds like I'm jokin', right? Well, I'm not...) just make sure you can control your emotions and not to bother the ghost... Like... I'd suggest you to switch off the tv... The tv might make the ghost even more angrier... 😊

Hmm, well first of all, I get the feeling that this ghost doesn't really want you to learn about it that much. By switching off the DVD that teaches you about ghosts, perhaps the ghost just wants to be left alone. And I agree with people here on this, you do get a jittery kind of feeling anyway when you watch ghost programmes.
Also, I know it's been asked before, but is your name Adam? Possibly it could have been her husband's name.
I don't think you're crazy but people often hear their names being called out for no reason, it's purely just your conscious. But maybe it was the ghost, good luck with her!

I agree with Nysa, hearing a name might be auditory hallucination. I hear my name all the time when nobody is around.

As a few people have asked, is your name Adam or the man who murdered his wife? 😕

I want to side with zetafornow in terms of if Adam is your name or if that is instead the name of the Husband that was sent to prison?

If it was the husband then there is a chance your hearing the woman that he killed. I also want to say that I have a feeling that ghosts/spirits/etc. Could hear the t.v. And may interpret it as asking them the questions.

Peace

I really like your story, sound very creepy for sure. I would have to agree with bacchaegrl about being more open to these things. I know that when I'm on this site for a while reading ghost stories some times my ghost (s) will act up a bit. Like the story!

I just want to say, be cautious with the assumption that paranormal activity is always associated with a paranormal show. I believe that watching such programming might ramp up your readiness to see something paranormal. While I see that things also happen while you aren't watching the show, I would just be wary of calling everything paranormal.

Totally agree with Nysa. All my life I heard my mother whisper my name with a sense of urgency. I have always been afraid that it was a sign that she was in danger. It never was. I think she was just thinking about me when I heard my name whispered.

I don't think you are crazy or that the house is haunted. I believe you release psychic energy, especially when watching ghost hunting shows.

Hearing your name is something I have experienced as well. I know it seems very real but it is difficult to say what it is. Maybe a ghost, maybe an auditory hallucination, maybe someone is thinking about you & you hear that thought spoken out loud.

First off, I don't think your crazy. A question for you... Is your name Adam? Just curious as to if the ghost was calling your name, or maybe the name of the murdering husband.

Sounds like your TV gave up the ghost.

Sorry I couldn't resist.

Definitely time start checking out alternatives-

And probably invest in a surge protector for your video goods. 😕
