Thank you for sharing this Cindy. Like Jav, I too was wondering whether I should get into a calm frame of mind before reading this one. I am glad I did read this though.

You know me better than what my profile here says, so I'll stop here.

Hi Fergie

Another wonderful story, I really enjoyed this. This may seem a little far out but I wonder if the hampsters left behind some 'energy' when they were moved that caused you to hear the scratching sound?

The phantom car certainly was creepy! It is a very distinct sound a car makes when it is close by and moving on a pitted surface, it would be hard to explain to be anything else. And the dog's reaction to the noise would be enough confirmation to me that there was definately something there!

As always thanks for sharing Fergie, I see your name and I know I'm in for a great read! ❤ 😊

Fergie,
I have had the same type of experience, many years ago, with the sound of tires over a pebble lined driveway. The crunching of the tires was so close I felt I could reach out and touch the vehicle if I wanted. Very eerie indeed! I had tried to talk myself into thinking it could have come from further off, and the sound must have traveled well because it was night time and more quiet than the daylight hours. However, I wasn't the only one to experience this phenomenon. My neighbor heard it as well. He heard it in the dead of winter in the freshly fallen snow, and on more than one occasion!
I have to think that in my case it was residual energy. I'm not so sure about yours though, I think that is for you to determine.

Jav

~~When I saw you had a story up and from the title I was thinking it may have been the experience you had mentioned from the night your Angel passed. I had to get my box of tissues and steady myself before I would begin reading. Once I did though, it came to me that this was probably much too soon, and I was right. I am sorry, I shouldn't have presumed such a thing. My prayers are still with you and yours dear friend, and I am here if ever you should need me. ❤

Fergie - you haven't said anything. There's just this feeling I get sometimes. It's hard to explain, but I'll try. When I'm reading something, or looking at a picture, I can sometimes "feel" emotions. I know that probably doesn't make sense, but my hands will tingle and then feel like liquid all the way to my elbows. And then I feel the emotion. Most of the time it's intense sadness. But sometimes it doesn't take that much. Sometimes I can just read a word or two and the emotions just pour out of a story.

Like your "Billy" story. The love and affection you and Ray had for Billy was so strong that it brought me to tears several times.

Don't worry about the karma points 😊. Your comments make me feel better than any points ever could.

Thanks Miracles, for helping me out with the answer to mrfear. Excellent job!

Miracles? Did I at some point, actually state that I had an 'experience', that last night at the hospital? I honestly can't remember, or find where I might have stated that. Or... Did you just feel it in your bones?
If you just felt it... You are an extremely strong empath! Poor you!

Dear sweet Miracles,
I won't post that account yet, I don't think I can handle the responses yet, this is tough enough! I will give ample warning, for when I do. I will quite understand, if you don't comment - it is a heavy load! I have written the account already, just so that I don't forget anything; the mind is a powerful tool, sometimes blocking out painful memories!

Much ❤
Fergie

PS This darned system won't let me vote you up any more!

mrfear - in addition to what Fergie said in response to your question about the tyres, there have been many, many experiences about phantom vehicles. There is a wonderful story on here by one of my friends, geetha50, that tells of her experience http://www.yourghoststories.com/real-ghost-story.php?story=12893

Another member of this site, who is also one of my friends, and his son had an experience with a vehicle that just vanished. Both of them saw it and were able to validate the experience. I don't think the story is on here, so I won't share his name or the story. It's not my story to tell, but I believe in him.

I'm sure there are plenty more, in addition to those two and Rook's that Fergie has already mentioned. If you'd like (and I mean this sincerely), I'll try and find some for you to read.

I don't think anything is outside the realm of possibility. Until we are no longer on this side, how are we to know for sure?

Fergie - please put something at the beginning or in the title. I'll see your name and figure it out anyway, but sometimes I get caught off guard.

And I'll be as honest with you as I can, I don't know if I can handle your "Angel" story. So please don't wonder if I don't comment on it, okay?

Hi Elexa30, thank you for your comforting comment.
Angel died from a rare form of cancer ~ biphasic synovial sarcoma.
Yes, Angel is definitely in the arms of God now - no more suffering - no more pain!

The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God.

May her soul RIP by the way how did Angel died

Hi mrfear,
I don't think any devils were involved in this account! We haven't had anything scary happen with spirits. We have only had puzzling things happen!
I have heard of ghost cars and carriages before. There are some fascinating accounts here on YGS, one by Rook, which tells of a ghost hearse and horse.
I don't know for sure, what made the sound of tyres, as there was no sound of a motor!
Thank you for your comment. 😊

Oh my, Miracles? What a thought! You have made me go goose bumps from head to toe! On reflection, could it be? Looking at the calender, this happened not quite three weeks before Angel's death!

Thank you for being brave. The sad story is yet to come! Shall I put a 'tissue warning' at the beginning?

Yes, the emotions are still very strong, I still get weepy at times. Having Shenay here with us now, for the school holidays helps though. She is a pretty demanding child and keeps Ray & I busy. ❤
Thank you for editing, reading and your heart-felt comment. I really appreciate it. 😊

Hi fergie,
I can say that incidents happen in the house, may be angel or devil. It didn't harmed you it may not be cruel one. But, incident happen out side, I confused a little. How can spirit make tyre sound?
Even cars don't become spirits.

Hey, Fergie ❤ - I wasn't sure I wanted to be the one to edit this one. I thought I was going to have to pass it on to granny, but I'm glad I was able to read it. Sometimes being an empath is a b*tch.

I just have a thought and it might be nothing, but it's one of those crackpot theories that just won't go away. Do you think the footsteps and tyres you heard could have been loved ones coming to wait for Angel?

I can't imagine the emotions this is going to bring back for you, but I hope some of it is going to be happy ❤
