Coughing And Bed-shaking

I had never felt anything paranormal in my home until recently. My brother and I had a similar experience about a week apart. It all started one evening in my bedroom.

I was sitting on my bed watching a movie, and fooling around with some scrapbooking materials. All of a sudden I heard a very loud, very discernable cough from behind me. There was no one downstairs (the wall where it seemed to come from backs up to the downstairs area), and everyone else was in bed. I was a little freaked, but I let it go.

Later that night, I was lying in bed, and just about to fall asleep, when I heard a loud noise. Right after the noise, I felt my bed start to shake. The shaking lasted about 10 seconds, and then stopped. I sat up in bed and looked around the room, and I swear that I saw a black mass in the corner above my bed. Now there are usually shadows in the corners in my room, but this one was different. It seemed thicker than a normal shadow, and it wasn't see-through.

A week later, my brother, who is 17, came to me and told me he woke up and felt his bed shaking the previous evening. I told him what had happened to me, and we were dumbfounded. I tried to make contact with whatever it was in my room with my tape recorder, and when I played it back I got all kinds of noises. Whether they are supernatural or not, I cannot tell, but it intrigues me to know if there is something in my home or not.

The beds in our house shake too. The first time was because it was an earthquake... It was on the news. A small one. After that it would just... Randomly shake at random times, without there being any evidence of an earthquake. Hasn't happened in a while though. Both mine and one of my relative's. It was really spooky when it happened and the first time it happened I was convinced it was ghosts. Both me and my relatives are what you could call "sensitive". No one else has complained of bed shaking!

Sounds demonic. Try Catholic Holy water and using the names of Jesus, Mary and St. Michael the Archangel to command it to depart. If Catholic, hit Mass, confession and communion - often. Good luck and God bless. Dukes2352atAOL.com.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I do not think there is anything demonic in my house at all. I think the noises I was hearing may have been interference from downstairs, because at the time I took the EVP, there were people downstairs talking, and the radio was on in the living room. I have not felt the bed shaking anymore, and my brother has not reported anything in his room. Once I get my tape recorder working again, I want to do some more EVP work and see if I really do catch anything.

never had an experience like that before, I collected many EVPs in my house (always say a prayer before & after attempting to record EVPs), I've also seen things move with no explanation, and I've been touched by a spirit in my home more than a few times in my life. If you feel whatever it is you have is demonic you should definately consider getting your home blessed or smudged. Good luck, Nick

I had an experience maybe about 4 months ago very similar to this one. I was sleeping when I woke up to my bed shaking violently. I sat up in bed and screamed (I lived alone with my 2 year old at the time). The first thing I thought about was the movie "The excorsist." I really thought that I was going to be possessed by something. It shook lightly at first then it shook more violently until about 15 seconds later it stopped. I looked out my window because I thought there was an earthquake (it was 330 am and a weekday). No one was outside. Then I called my mom who lives down the street and I asked if she felt that and she said no and told me to go to sleep. I didn't sleep I went to work at 6:30 am and thought about it all day. I was freaked out. Still don't know what that was. ❤ Jasmin

Shadows and black masses are not always evil or negative. Sometimes it just means that they don't have enough energy to fully manifest or that they want to conceal their identity. The same with voices, just because it might sound deep and gravelly doesn't mean that it's a malicious entity (unless it's saying something malicious of course). That's just how the voice came out.

I can't really give you an advice on what to do in your case. I just wanted you to look at this SHADOW a different way than some of the comments here are implying. Hope everything works out good.

hi fallen angel =)
From what I read it seems that you might have a shadown person or shadow people
These are negative identity. I did experiance a shadow person when I was in my childhood and it scared me. So I suggest you re-try a recording again... You have to be alone in your room and ask question so (like: are you a female or male? Why are you here? Are you trying to scare me? ETC) ask these kind of answer and see what you get in your recording and if you get bunch of naoises again then is not just one but more ghost. If you have any question I be happy to answer them. Good luck do a prayer before you do any interaction with unknow identety

Wow! This bed shaking thing is unreal! Same thing just happened to me a few days ago (without the cough or shadows) and it freaked me out. Everyone's saying it's just my mind playing tricks on me but the more I see that it happens to more people... I believe what I felt. I was jolted awake and it only lasted about 10 seconds like yours did, but it is a very scary thing when you don't know what it is. I feel for you! 😐

man, until you get a padre in there or paranormal investigators in there I wouldn't mess with the evp recordings quite yet because if this phenomena is demonic trying to communicate with it can increase activity. Don't want to scare you just remember the feeling of love or pray and the faithful will always protected during your darkest hours. ❤

Please have someone go and bless your house because black shadows floating around in your corner bedroom doesn't sound like it's something good. How long has this been going on? Do the shadows seem to bother you? I will be praying for you.

It's easy to say this was paranormal. You saw a black mass in the corner after bed was shaking. Do you know anything about the house?. Did you recently move anything in? What about the house, is this a new residence for you?. Is this a new thing or has it always happened in your home?
(paranormal stuff) Looking forward to reading what you have to say...Blessings, Ghostseer
