It is not wise to use an Ouija Board. To everyone who is reading this, NEVER EVER USE ONE. All it will do is agitate an unknown spirit and make it angry, you may think that ghosts can't harm you, but unfortunately they can with reason.

I myself have never used one, but from the comments you can tell that other people are trying to get the same point across as I am.

I hope you will never use an Ouija Board again for your own safety.

This is going to seem divisive, but a correction is in order here.

To DeviousAngel, re: your quote from 12-8-2008: "According to the Christian Bible, we're all children of God." I believe that you're referencing John 1:12: "To ALL WHO RECEIVED HIM, to those who BELIEVED IN HIS NAME, he gave the right to become children of God." There's a definite stipulation on that right. It's not an open-ended offer.

I respect your right to believe and practice howsoever you choose; but if you're going to cite biblical authority, please respect the text by referencing it correctly.

To ForgottenAngel: I'm trying to reconcile these quotes of yours (5-23-2009): "God sent me to hell and back... " and "I believe in Satan, not god..."

If God doesn't exist, then who sent you to hell? Also, if you have so many demonic friends and worship Satan, why would you want to return from hell? Again, not trying to be difficult, just a little perplexed. 😕

PEOPLE, PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE. I appreciate your willingness to share your opinions, but it kind of demeans this site if we all just spew without thinking. It's kind of counterproductive because the nonsensical posts outnumber the salient and prurient.

Blessings,
A.

God sent me to hell and back, do not tell me that ghosts don't want to be friends. HAVE YOU HAD ONE SAVE YOU? DID YOU SEE ONE? Demons aren't bad, nor are they good. They are just like us. And you have no right to cause trouble with us all. I believe in Satan, not god and look here- I have demons in my room! Do they hurt me? No. They saved me actually. I'm 15 and you know what? A diranged spirit tried killing me and I PRAYED to satan and the demons to help me. And they did! DON'T EVER say that they are bad. I have made plenty of ghost friends. Believe it or not, you are not the best knowing on spirits (nor me but I know more than you- I am an indigo child. Have a nice day,
Sharon.

Very interesting, scary story! While I have all the respect in the world for all of you out there who delve into these things, I myself will steer clear of them. I believe in their powers and feel there are just too many negative things about them for me. Thanks for this story.

I respect your opinion Demonbinder but have to back up DeviousAngel. Not everyone into the "dark" side of things is a child of Satan. I myself am a Gray Witch and proud of it. (for those who don't know it a Gray Witch is one who practices Both "black" AND "white" magic.) I DONT worship the "devil" or "Satan" but I do believe in Evil and know from personal experience the best way to protect yourself is to know the good as well as the bad, after all if you can't tell the difference between a redcap (a creature of english origin who frequents battlefirelds and other places of violence and survives off human blood) and a Brownie (a helpful creature usually found in homes) then how can you protect yourself? Well enough ranting here, as my stories are posted everyone will get tons more background info and such, including my own ouija board fun and scares

It is a smart idea to no use one again.

Some people, like me, use them and nothing bad happens, but some people, like you, used them and it backfired.

It is horrible that it happened to you, but I hope that everything is better now!

Take care! ❤

The way I see these ouija boards, is that it's like playing with fire.
Sure, there are some people who have used them, and like me, nothing bad happened.
But sooner or later you will get burnt.
Almost everyone I've talked to who has used these boards, has had a bad experience.
I believe that what you experienced, was evil.
It sounds as if it was trying to possess you, but luckily your friend knew what to do!

And that is very smart of you to say you won't use one again.
Take care. ❤

rookdygin--and not to forget, I'm glad that you were able to get through this experience without lasting damage as well! Quite a startling experience indeed. Your description of how you felt definitely reminds me of a few anxiety attacks I've had, though it also sounds similar to being accosted by a particularly strong negative spirit empowered by your very own fear...

Warmest blessings,

DA

Demonbinder, I respect your opinion, but I personally don't see why practicioners of "dark" Wicca or any other "dark" religion are children of Satan. According to the Christian Bible, we're all children of God. Wiccans do not worship nor even believe in Satan. That's like calling a Christian who uses a Ouija board or any other divination tool a child of Satan. Just because you dabble in the dark arts doesn't mean that you're a Satanist... And aside from that, Satanists don't worship the devil, they just see themselves as gods.

I think it's more based on what you do with the power you have, not what type of power it is... You can have a pen to write words that save lives and stimulate thoughts, or you can stab someone in the eye with it. It isn't about the instrument, it's what you do with it.

All the same, I respect your opinion...

Warmest blessings,

DA

Saying the Lord's Prayer here would have been to no avail, as dark practicioners are children of Satan, whether deniably or undeniably. God commands all his children to refrain from dark practices so we can avoid instances as such. That said, thank God you got through that.

Hi again Rook-a "mental attack" is the appropriate term, you're absolutely right! In my case, I cannot recall what happened other than feeling dizzy and weak along with a couple of other unpleasant symptoms. The others present at the gathering told me that I was responding to a question I still don't remember and at some point I got very upset. You know what's strange? Some time later I found out the cause of my anger and I'm still mystified when I realise I was abset about something I didn't really know at that time. The spirit knew though! Very frightening! (I'm referring to my story To My Lost Siblings)

I'm impressed by all these things you've done so far. I think you ARE sensitive which explains why you have these encounters. I don't think you accidentally step into their space, I think "they" choose you.

I'll be looking forward to your next encounters.

rhodes68,

That was the impression I had on that night, not a demonic presence, but very, very malicious. I have been reading back over all of these and I feel I must explain something, I never felt like this presence was trying to posses me. It was a 'mental attack' however and not something I care to experience again...

It could have been a panic attack, if so it is my first, and only, one ever. I'll admit I get 'worked up' when it comes to things like this, a mixture of nerves and anticipation of what might happen, but I have never been truely scared when it comes to the spirit world. I have been called sensitive, 'in-tune' and so far very, very acurate with my tarot cards.

So I may not be a true medium, but I have a 'knack' for feeling the presence of spirits and their nature. I have assited in the cleansing of two locations and have blessed 7 homes in the past 16 years. (the cleansing stories may follow...)

So I know what works for me, and I have experience... 34 years of intrest and 29 of study, application and pratice. There is another 'world' and at times we can interact with it, be it a residual haunting or an active spirit/entity, it's real and interaction with it should be done with all due caution and respect.

Respectfully,
Rook

This must be one of the very few times I would associate the "darkness" of a shadow with an evil presence-I don't mean demonic, I simply mean malicious, ill-intented. Thank God that your friend was there to urge you to pray in whatever you hold sacred rook! I'm going to wild-guess you are not to go near any such board ever again. I think I can relate to that as my own experience with this seance wasn't pleasurable either.

I believe the ouji board does work. It all depends if the any spirit wants to contact us. My sistter tried it and she to never had any experiences. But that doesn't mean we can not make contact with the other world. Like you said as long as there have been mediums ther have been ways to contact the other world. Thanks for sharring this story with us. I hope to hear from you soon and take care

I don't understand the point of Ouiji Boards.
My uncle and multiple other family members of mine haven't received any spirits or anything.
He said it doesn't work 😐
Or maybe it just didn't work for him?
A lot of other people have gotten results...
I'll have to do some experimenting 🤔

Cholulteca,

It's not that she shouldn't have...it's that was not her way. Paula was into... I'll put it mildly... The darker side of Wiccan, so for her to ask for the Lord's Prayer to be said was not something she would normally do.

I myself have always believed in Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ, but for a while there I was finding my own way and in a lot of ways I still am. So she more than likely asked for it to help strenghten me in my fight against the attack, be it a panic attack or from something else. I hope that answers your question.

Respectfully,

Rook

Hello everyone,

I just have one question, why you are saying that Paula should not have asked the girls to say the Lord's pray?, 😕

luvparanormal,

Basic answer to your question... It's people who don't believe, don't know or maybe they just don't care. It took a 'bad' experience for me to come to the conculsions that I have concerning the 'boards' and contacting the other side. As far as panic attacks go, I've never had one... To my knowledge... The 'attack' in this case may have been my one and only one. Or purhaps I was truly being attacked by something, I for one was very glad that what ever it was went away, be it a panic attack or spirit/entity attack.

As far as anything like that happening, I have one more incident with a mass produced board version that, well it makes my skin crawl. I will post it though, if just to get it out of my closet...

Very interesting story. Everybody is probably going to give me an answer for this question, but who gives a child a ouija board for her birthday? Even if you are not a cristian everyone knows the consecuenses of "playing" with one of these boards.
As far as your incident being a panic attach or not. I guess you really cannot say. It could have been one, but how do you know? As you said that was something you will always remember.
Did you have anything similar ever happen to you again after that day?

I believe that the fright you experienced in the hallway before entering the restroom left you very vulnerable to an anxiety attack.

I played with an ouija board at a birthday party when I was a teenager and we levitated a girl as well. Nothing bad happened to any of us, it was very unmemorable.

I think that people will believe what they want to believe.

ghostseer,

The mass produced 'game' boards 'invite' anyone to 'play' at contacting the other side. That is part of the problem. Many, many people try this with absolutely nothing happening. Those that make contact report 'bad things' because they do not understand what they have done. Not every spirit/entity contacted is evil, but how they present themselves is interpreted that way. Just because something scares you, or is not understood does not make it evil.

The mass produced version, once 'opened' by being used... Attracts spirits/entities to enter our side and communicate with us. Think of it like a white light in the dark, how long does it take before bugs begin to gather around that light? If you stand there how long before the mosquitoes begin to bite. (I know, I know it's a bit simple but...) If one take precautions, bug spray, long sleeves, long pants and a yellow bug light, (tuning, warding the board and guarding oneself) you get less bugs and are less likely to get bitten. To get rid of the bugs one must turn the light completely off. (close the board properly). I hope I have not offended anyone with such a simple example and I hope I have addressed everyone's points and concerns.

As long as there have been mediums, there have been ways of contacting the 'other side'. Be it by board, pencil and paper what have you.

From what I learned from my friend Paula and her Mother there was a way to focus a board... Tune it if you will... So that it could channel a spirit. Part of this was placing binding, wards, what ever you want to call them, on the board as well so that if/when contact is made the spirit is limited to what it may influence. (In this case the board only)

As far as it being a panic attack, I'll grant it could have been and I'd be a horrible hypocrite if I could not admit to this possibility after a reply I posted that says everything, physical (health), mental and environmental must be ruled out before one can consider the paranormal.

As far as using a board again, I don't think so. I have no need to. I can get my answers other ways. However I will go on to say if I meet someone who knows what they are doing, has taken all the precautions and needs my help I would not be against sitting down with them to do just that.

I hope my answers help, feel free to ask anything, I'll answer to the best of my ability.

Your ending statement should act as a warning to anyone wanting to "play" with danger. In fact, this board...can't even write it... I know how evil this is... This board is so dangerous, it should carry a warning label. " WARNING: Use of this item will probably invite evil into your house, your body, and possibly those guests attending the use of this item...WARNING: This EVIL, may follow you around for the rest of your life. USE WITH CAUTION " you think anybody would buy this product after seeing a warning label with two labels listed? Of course, you need to be the kind of person who reads warning labels...Blessings, Ghostseer

Sounds a little like an anxiety attack. (Which I am sure an experience like this would provoke)!

If you refuse to use a Parker Brothers board, then are you saying you will use another type? I don't know much about different ouija boards and the precautions one has to take before using them. Are some types of boards better to use than others because they have some kind of "protection"? I don't use ouija boards and don't plan to either, but I am awfully curious because this is something I've never heard before. I've only ever heard people say never to use any kind of ouija board.

Another thing I failed to point out is that when having an anxiety attack like this, it does get much stronger until it peaks. Then, just as quickly as it hit, it's gone.

I don't doubt your story, as I also believe that using any type of spirit board could attract some not-so-nice entities.

And I am also sure there was something lurking in the hallway.

However, what you describe as losing control of your mind is a symptom of a panic attack.

I know this because I've had them:)

Sometimes you'll just have palpitations, but other times you feel like you are not all there, or that you're no longer in control of your mind. Usually, you will have trouble remembering the anxiety attack afterward.

A lot of times, this feeling is brought about during high-stress situations. It's your natural, sub-conscious fight or flight reaction. And I would guess that you were under lots of stress when you sensed the entity in the hall.

And this would also explain how hearing them pray would've put a stop to it. You calmed down and you eased yourself out of the anxiety attack.

I know your friend wasn't the type to usually say the lord's prayer, but in times of crises, it's not unusual for people to pray to different gods to ask for help.

I have a gut feeling that you were not being possessed. Simply because the way you described how you felt is exactly how my panic attacks feel.

But just clarify, yes I do believe something else was there that caused you to have this anxiety attack. So don't get me wrong, I do believe your story. It's the part where you are being possessed and you describe my "losing my mind" panic attacks vividly, lol.

Thanks for sharing!
