Real Ghost Stories

Demonic Voice

My name is Eimer! I live in Ower West Roscahill Co Galway. Two major things have happened to me. I'll start with the first one.

1. This happened when I was 14, 6 years ago.

My brother and I were playing the PS2 really late, so about half 2 we decided to turn in. We were messing, hitting each other and that before he went upstairs to bed, my room was downstairs (the only one downstairs).

I went into my room, closed the door and as I went to pull the covers of my bed something (I don\'t know was it a demon, or a ghost) but something grabbed my shoulder really roughly and said "Good night, Eimer." The voice was very rough and scary. I also had fingerprints bruised into my skin the next few days. I turned around VERY fast thinking it was my brother. But no one was there. Needless to say I jumped into bed.

After that happened, my life turned for the worse. My grades went from average to terrible in school. My mood turned sour and I became clinically depressed. I have tried to committee suicide several times and self-harm myself in every way. My relationship with friends and family has deteriorated horribly. I was admitted into a psychiatric unit for 3 weeks due to depression. My life doesn't seem to be getting any better.

2. The second thing to have happened was me, my brother and sister were walking down the field to collect the horses when we looked up to an old dilapidated house. All 3 of us saw a white figure with no face staring out at us. We didn't stick around to see what it was. We ran home as fast as we could.

I really need to know if the first one has got anything to do with dark/demonic beings. I'm fearing for my safety and the safety of others. I'm not schizophrenic or bipolar or have any mental illness other than depression.

I can relate to you, I haven't ever had things thrown at me, because I would've died of fright. But I to heard someone call my name while I was watching tv, And it wasn't human it was a loud whisper. It was a demons voice, I ignored it shut the tv off and tried my best to sleep, I did my best to act like I wasn't afraid. A lot of things happened to me, I always ignored them, Until it got to the point where I started be attacked I started losing my mind. I got a person to finally believe me, They got me appt to see a therapist, I told them what was going on, They said to not show fear and show no negativety. Because it's feeds off of negativety. I also had my place blessed by a priest he told me the same thing show no fear get away and stay away from negativety don't have negative thoughts. Because evil thrives on negativety and people who are sick like Cancer or other health issues, they prey on the weak they try and break you down.Oh, It can come from someone else who has negativety, stay away from anyone who is negative that's angry, I'm sure you get the picture. Show no fear. And yell at it to leave you alone and to leave that you do not want it there, that's it's your home just leave In the name of Jesus Christ. And start praying. Hope this helps. "God Bless You".

To Eimer, I believe that you seeing the spirit of the fisherman is another example of your being able to see/sense spirits. I do not think they mean you any harm... They are just kind of "there". They exist, they will show themselves to you, you can speak to them and let them know if you want them to leave. Its ok to set boundaries, but if you have a gift, you may just occasionally see them. "Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't." (I don't know if you will get that reference or not... Its ok if not, haha...it's an old commercial) 😆

As for the glasses breaking and pictures falling off the walls - as strange as this may sound, there is a theory that if there is someone experiencing high levels of unexpressed emotion/stress, (especially a teenager or young adult in the household), the forceful emotions and energy created by these individuals can manifest itself in "poltergeist" types of activity. Of course it is all subconscious - you would not be able to help doing it or control it in any way - it is just something that eventually resolves itself as these individuals get older and their energy calms a bit. 😊 I don't think you have to believe in any prescribed religion to be happy and fulfilled in your life, and I don't think having a sensitivity to the other side is a curse or reward for what your beliefs are... It is just a gift - you either have the ability or you don't...kind of like, say, being artistic. You can work at it if you aren't, but some people just have a knack at it that others don't. I also think its possible to be a good person and walk in the light without a specific religion - you will know instinctively what is dark, unkind, etc. A very wise person once told me, "Always take the high road... Be the better person... Err on the side of kindness and love, but always use your brain." That advice has never steered me wrong. I don't believe you are being "haunted" by anything but, well, yourself. I certainly don't mean that in a belittling way - fear and frustration are very real and need to be dealt with in healthy ways, but you have nothing to fear. I hope my thoughts give you some peace of mind... And also, I also recommend Rook's cleansing method. Whether for the paranormal or to bring calm, it certainly can't hurt! Best Wishes,

Eimet,
I am a bit confused. In your comment post you say, "Something I'm really used to is cups breaking on there own and pictures falling of the wall, its come to the point where I have to yell at the " thing " doing it, and of couse I seem crazy to my family". If all this is happening how can they not know something is going on?
I feel perhaps your depression is linked more to your grandfather's passing then to the voice you heard.

Eimer:

I'm sorry for the problems you are going trough; your situation makes me think about my 14 y/o son who spends long hours playing video games and sleeps badly, which makes him moody and lethargic during the day; and keeps him in his room with very little social and physical activities.
But there is nothing wrong with him because as soon as he puts his mind and hands into doing something his attitude improves a lot and stops been "the stranger that hides in my son's room".

I'm glad that you got medical attention, perhaps some little changes in your routine could bring your normal self again.

Mamachong suggested for you to try Rook's cleansing method, here it is:
Day one: Open all curtains window and doors with screens installed, let fresh air and sunshine into the home. Have all closets, cabinets and other 'dark spaces' open so that as much natural light as possible can enter those spaces. After 2-3 hours take a broom and 'sweep' out each room (this is symbolic and you do not have to really sweep) focus your thoughts on sweeping (pushing) out all negative energies / entities /thoughts. Close home up after completing each room of your home... Please do not forget your garage if you have one. (Optional) Light incense (sandalwood or Dragons-blood works well for me) and let aroma fill the home, and/or play a tape that contains your favorite Church/Positive, Upbeat (songs that give you good thoughts) songs before you begin sweeping.

Day two (or three): Once again open all curtains, windows and doors. Take a White candle (Optional) to the center most point of the home, sit on the floor and place candle in front of you. Light the candle (visualize a white ball of light) and then focus on the flame... Visualize the flame (white light) filled with positive thoughts, energy. (Say a prayer at this time if you so desire... Ask for cleansing positive energy to fill the candles flame/white light). Hold this 'image' in your mind and then visualize the flame (light) slowly expanding outward, visualize it filling the room your in, every corner and 'dark space'. Continue to visualize it expanding...it's outer edges pushing away (burning away) any and all negative energies/entities out and away from each room in your home. Once you have visualized this flame (light) filling your entire home, picture it expanding to your property lines. Hold this image in your mind for a few moments then visualize 'anchoring' this flame (light) where you are sitting which is the center most point of your home. Once you have done this. Take a deep breath, relax a few moments and then blow out the candle. (If you didn't use a candle just let yourself relax a moment or two.) "

Now you can create a shield for yourself using the 'home shield' technique but instead of focusing on your home visualize the 'flame' simply surrounding you instead of your home... Best time to do this is after a nice shower using a rosemary scented soap (rosemary is good for purification and protection.)

Good luck and keep us posted.

Hello Eimer.
There is a cleansing method that one of the members does. His name is Rookdgyn. It is non religious. Anyone can use it, and it is known to help. Look his profile up and you will find it on his page.

As far as the depression, I would suggest a medication, if you are not on one yet. If meds are not a option for you... There are natural herbs with no side effects you can take.

Recently I was fast asleep when I heard a voice call me by my first name,"<Name!>" and continued, "you are very hated!" I am African and by its pronunciation of my first name sounded more Caucasian than anything else, but went on to speak in my local dialect,Kikuyu.

As of now, I am not in talking terms with my mum.

I can't recall anything happening the days surrounding it. But a week after my grandfater died, about 2 weeks after at about 5 in the morning I heard footsteps outside, I looked outside and I saw the figure of a fisherman walking about, it stopped and looked in the window at me then fizzled out.

Something I'm really used to is cups breaking on there own and pictures falling of the wall, its come to the point where I have to yell at the " thing " doing it, and of couse I seem crazy to my family. They don't believe that anythings wrong, but o can sense that somethings there.

Thanks for all yer comments, I would go to a priest, but I ament religious (but please don't say that's why this stuff is happening). I am an atheist so I won't be tuning to religion...

But please comment and let me know what ye think:) X

Hello Eimer, I'm sorry to hear about your depression after the first event, which continues to affect you 😢 In my humble opinion, (and I certainly could be wrong here) I don't think that the one-time frightening occurrence is what is causing your depression... To me, unless you have continued to hear this voice, or other paranormal events in your home took place, it seems like it was just something unfriendly passing through. Certainly however, the worrying and fear the experience caused, could have added to the stresses already in your life, which then escalated into depression. If ceremonial things bring you peace of mind, I recommend you smudge your house with sage, and clean under and around your bed, sprinkling with saltwater (salt is purifying) or holy water. Overall, I do not think you have anything to worry about - whatever it is has not shown up since... The white figure you saw seems totally unrelated. You may be sensitive to the paranormal, so it's something to be aware of, but not to fear. You are just now 20, and still have to grow comfortable with who you are as an adult. Things will get better for you as you move into this new phase of your life! All you have to do for now is take care of yourself, and your relationships with those close to you. May you stay in the light, and feel peace again. Best Wishes ❤

Jesus Christ can set you free from these things.I'm not trying to preach to you or push anything on you, but I believe that what is oppressing you is a demon spirit. You can get them cast out. You can always, PM me if you have any questions.

So odd. Did anything ugly happen in the family before that day that you first incountered this entity? Any history in the area that would point to a haunting. Now it's good to check out everything, right? So you've had a physical and all to rule out physical problems? And believe it or not, a bad tooth infection can cause depression. Ruling that out, you can get a blessing (not an exocism,) from a priest. It's laied back; they do the chrism oil on your hands, holy water, invite you to bring friends, because everybody prays while he does all this. It's like a house blessing, only for you personally. I've been to one, and the guy felt he was in better shape afterwards. It did a lot for the people praying too. Thanks for sharing, hope all goes well.
