My Gettysburg Experience

It was July 19 2009, my family and I were on our way to Gettysburg, PA and I was excited to go! After 2 hours we finally got there. We went to some of the Monuments. Then went to our hotel room to unpack our stuff. I couldn't wait for that night because we were going on a ghost tour.

I kept asking my mom and dad how many minutes until we leave for the tour. The time came we were on our way to the tour. The tour was going good and then the best part came it was when the tour guide took us to the creek bed (That's where they would dispose body parts) we were all sitting on the stone ledge and some lady next to me quickly jumped up saying something pulled her hair.

When the tour was over, I was bugging my parents if we can go back to the creek bed. My mom took some pictures and following me was an orb. The other picture my brother had an orb right on his head. I thought that was cool.

Well this story gets better. We went back to hotel, we walked because the tour was so close to us, on the way back we all smelled the smell of something rotting, but there were no trash cans around!

It was 12:00 at night. My dad asked me if I wanted to find Sachs Bridge, I said yes, but my mom and brother stayed behind in the room.

We were driving down Millerstown Road near Pumping Station Road on the Confederate side of the battlefield. We didn't find the bridge because it was so dark outside. So we went passed the old look out tower and I took a few pictures of the woods next to me. I got a ton of orbs, then my dad took the camera and he took 3 pictures in a row of the battlefield. and this cannon was in it too. The 1st one had a few orbs, 2nd one had nothing, 3rd one had a lot and on the end of the cannon there was this bright flash on the end of the cannon.

We moved a little farther up. My dad couldn't move and after he said that I felt very light headed, my chest was very tight, I started to shake from the coldness, and started to cry for no reason!

As soon as we got out of there we felt fine. We went back to the hotel and When we came in the room. My Mom said my face was pale white!

Interesting I can see the ghostly man sitting on the bench in the third picture if you look really hard. I went on a ghost tour myself about a year ago only I can't remember where! 😭 I hate my memory sometimes!

Battlefield sites are a good place to feel and hear strange goings on. Its because the persons ie soldiers died suddenly and did not want to leave this earthly plain. So there still here. Britain has many ghost armies from Roman soldiers;the lost nineth legion;to the last great battle on British soil,caloden,Ive been and its very spooky no birds sing there, and the atmosphere is heavy, you can hear a pin drop on the grass. (by the way the Battle of Britain was fought in the air 1940-1941,so no battle field to see) The old airfields are full of ghosts though 😨Good story though Jack 😊

Hi everyone thanks for the comments. In the 3rd picture with all the people. If you look in the background there is a bench and on the bench there is a ghost sitting there. 😁

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Here's what I see in those photos. I see what may be true Red Orbs in the pic with the Lady in it. I see Flash reflection from your camera as to the flash on the back part of the cannon's wheeled mount, with possibly 3 faint yellowish orbs in the upper center of the pic, which could be insects. And really nothing but people in the 3rd pic. I find the smell you experienced interesting as well as you and your father feeling faint and Ill. I believe You had an experience based on those two occurrences and the redish orbs. Thank you again for sharing it with us. 😊

Lucky. All I got to see when I went was a bunch of squirrels.

The orbs sadly don't prove much, but the smells and the weird feelings are a pretty good indication that the spirits of those that died there didn't want to be disturbed. You and your family may have caught some of the location's memory.

I do not want to be the drag down here but I have to the story was really cool but a lot of paranormal researchers are now disregarding a lot of outside orbs do to bugs and dirt and and the weird digi bubble effect. Not saying that is the case here but I have seen graveyard pics with "orbs" when they took them right after I had walked past a headstone on the dirt road running through the graveyard. Like I said I don't want to be the nay sayer but I don't want people jumping right to every "orb" they see is a ghost that's all 😳

Awesome pictures. But dumping body parts, that is gross. This is amazing That place is going on my list for places I go before I die.

i love gettysburg, haven't experienced anything there though. Cool pics.
