JS,
I understood what you meant. I had a feeling you had an NDE. Those that do have them seem to come back with the gift for seeing into the spirit realm. I wouldn't sweat any of it. Seems to be a part of you now.
I've personally experienced more paranormal events since almost drowning when I was around 10. I had experiences prior to the near drowning also. They just intensified afterwards and then I became an empath.
There wasn't a name for it back then.
Thanks for sharing

Seeker1: It's crazy how you brought up NDE. I had one at the age of 17. I was being young and dumb with my friend (using inhalants). We were outside, beside his garage, in the country. He decides to go inside, but I was hooked. The last thing I remember is me taking a big inhale, then out no where, I start seeing flashbacks of my life. It started with scenes from when I was 6 to 17 in a matter of 2 seconds.

That isn't the weird part. Right after I get my flashbacks, I'm amazed by the view of the earth. My spirit was litterally in outter space, looking at the earth. I only saw it for a couple seconds, until I was being pulled back to earth with fastest speed i've ever witnessed. I think it was. 5 second. I find myself face down on the driveway, with gravel rocks stuck to my face.

I don't know how long I was out, but I know in my heart, that my spirit was pushed back into my body. I walked inside my friend house, and this dude is sitting on the couch smoking a cigarette. I never brought it up to him. I agree with the basement feelings. Thanks for reading.

Lizbeth: I never saw that spirit face to face again. I could only spot him from the corner of my eye many times. I no longer see him at my new house though. I don't miss him either. Thanks for reading. 😁

Fergie: lol, tell me about it. I kick myself for not having a journal a couple years ago. I hope you enjoy the 2nd, and thanks again. 😁

Rozo: Yeah, basements are mysterious. I love that they keep me cool in the summer though lol. I tried looking up some history 2 years ago, but I quit after an hour. I should try again later. Thanks for reading. 😁

Hey JS,

I'm curious about something. Just some food for thought here; what you describe is attributed to people who have had NDE's (near death experiences). They come back not being able to wear watches, use computers, cause light bulbs to dim, the ability to see disembodied spirits etc... Due to being touched by the "other side". It's something to think on.
As far as the creepy feeling, that could be due to all the electrical wiring throwing off high EMF's, and just the overall creepiness of basements.

Blessed Be

Dude, that be some freaky happenings right there... I always wonder what make the basements of homes the area of high activity, is this because no one actually likes going there in the first place, so the entity has a much stronger emotional pull to when you do go down... Or is it just because it is a dark lonely place that is closer to the 'earth' so to speak... Either way... I'm happy here in South Africa... We don't have too many places that have basements...
Look forward to next post! Cool story, any History on the House from the 80's?
Thanks Bud!

Hi JS: I look forward to reading your 2nd story. 😊
Yeah, since I started keeping a journal, all my experiences seem so 'tame'. Only something 'jumping' onto me, or an odd smell of something 'cooking' - nothing really exciting! πŸ˜‰ Maybe I am becoming blase'? Lol!
I will wait in anticipation, for your next account!

Fergie: Thank you so much, and I'm glad I finally got a story up also. I was annoying my own self, by making all those comments, and not having a story lol. The nose bleeds, only happen on my first two sightings. I really didn't feel like my blood pressure jumped up enough to make my nose bleed. It's very hard to make it bleed also

Just the other day, I was playing basketball (nearly passing out from the heat) and then 'wham!' I get elbowed in the nose. I got nothing, except a bruise. I have moved, and I still have many experiences. I'm a lot more humble now. It's like an normal thing. The experiences aren't as wild as the activity in the old house though. Their more laid back, but still very active. I have more stories to come. My 2nd story should show up soon. Thanks for reading.

Hi JS: I am so glad that you finally stopped 'haunting' us with your posts, & wrote an interesting account of your own! Well done!
How interesting to discover that you are a SLIder. 😐
Another interesting fact, that your 'ghosties' cause nose bleeds! Maybe, someone with a medical background, could shed some light on that? Could it be, that your sightings caused a rise in your blood-pressure? πŸ˜•
I take it that you have since moved house? Any more experiences after that?
Thank you for sharing a great account. ❀

Jav: Wow, I never thought about it like that. I think it wanted something from me that night. That would explain the bloody nose. I got a bloody nose in my next story also. This is from another spirit, a little girl. I won't spoil it for you, it should be here soon.

JS,
Okay, now think about this for a moment. You faced this entity and both of you were locked in place for that few seconds. The fact that it realized you could see it may have triggered a hurry up sort of response and that caused it to take what it needed from you faster than it should. This could explain the bloody nose you had afterward.
What do you think?

Jav: That makes sense, because even though I knew that this spirit could possibly harm me. I knew that he wouldn't. I need to start researching this tomorrow, well, later today.

Jav: I really think so! The name is cool too. It reminds me of white castle sliders, the ones they put the burgers in. People are going to see our random signature and say "what?" haha.

JS,
One of the theories about SLIders is that we attract entities to us because of our excess electrical energy. The intensity you felt, without feeling in danger, was typical of what some others have expressed. I think we are like a gas pump for them.

shellzy: I think that the entity was using that light to help manifest, or another spirit might have used it to help scare him away. I thought he was going to charge me any second, but he just turned into the laundry room. Thanks for reading.

Woah! Thanks Jav, that link was unreal! I can totally relate to everything that happens to a SLIder!

I had to laugh when one of the things listed was bank cards being 'demagnetised' on a regualr basis, I go through cards like water! Next time I order a new one I'll just tell the bank clerk "hey it's cool it's cause I'm a SLIder"... πŸ˜† πŸ˜†

Jesus_Soldier I love your sense of humour lol. Jav is right that other conversation is far too intense!

It reminds me of sleep paralysis (the conversation about power surges) you get this sense of angst and dread but really can't SEE (the point) anything hahahaha

Hi J.S

Cool story, I really enjoyed it! Funnily enough I have had similar things happening to me with lights as long as I can remember, particularly with street lights flickering or even going completely off as I pass directly under them. Could be a weird coincidence but even family and friends have noticed this too when I'm around lol.

I must say I admire your bravery after seeing your basement ghostie! Although as scary as I imagine it would have been, it would also have been nice to have some confirmation of who was messing with the lights!

Thanks for sharing 😊

Whoa! Hats off to you man. If I were you, I would have run out of the basement in full speed and put the stereo in my room the next morning. Hehe. Anyways, you sure got the courage to face a ghost. Good thing. Thanks for sharing. Take care.😊

JS,
Oh Holy Crap! I shouldn't have wasted my comments on that other thread! (Well, I guess I should really read this first) I just saw Lotus was over here. She's the #1 SLIder around these parts, can't even turn on her own lights without blowing a bulb.
I'll be back JS.

There was one of those characters in my parents house. I still put lights out. So does my dad. Sometimes, though I'll be in a batgroom, any bathroom, only bathrooms & the light will flutter. Just like when a moth flies to a loghtbulb, but there's never any flying bug around. I hate it. I always get a feeling of dread. Demons are such punks, dude.
