You didn't make that point clear at all, and I don't think it was proven either. Why would someone waste time typing a comment they knew was going to be deleted? Perhaps you are judging people by your own standards here.

WBC: MY point was that comments are made for sole purpose of being deleted so Jave can say things like "Sort of proves my point, don't you think?"...

again, I know it will be no good to contact an administrator, because he let's you be a mod so he must be ok with what you're doing. But let me stress to you, just because a bloke who runs a website thinks it's ok for the 3 of you to bully posters, that doesn't make it right, in the same way that just because a mum let's her 11 year old smoke and stay out until midnight doesn't make it right, or just because the head of a company authorises money laudering it doesn't make it right. You won't change the way you moderate, and I won't change the way I comment.

Well, no matter... This whole conversation was for naught, because I'm not going to change the way I moderate just because some posters don't like it... So keep hammering away, and by all means, contact Martin if you feel the need...

You can do that by using the "Contact" link at the top of page...

Worried_Brit_Chick,
You have pointed out one of the most offensive actions that takes place on this site, And I quote:
"And no, I don't think it's within your rights as a mod to delete anything you find offensive, but post offensive comments about other posters which they of course can't delete."
Thank you,

Jav

I think I completely missed your point granny. Somewhere between you saying mods don't delete things just because they don't like them, and Miracles saying she deleted my comment because she didn't like it... Well I just lost the point.

I aimed that at granny because I was quoting what they had said earlier, as you can see if you read my comment. And I stand by it because she said that none of the mods delete stuff just because they don't like it, she'd be wrong then wouldn't she?!
And I was actually addressed at the start of this conversation by granny "Worried-Brit-Chick and anyone else who thinks Javelina is being ganged up on: No... There were several comments on that thread that were deleted BY ME..." because I had voiced concern on the other poster's story and was told to go to a different thread if I wanted to discuss it earlier. Hence I'm here... Discussing it.

And no, I don't think it's within your rights as a mod to delete anything you find offensive, but post offensive comments about other posters which they of course can't delete. It's a form of bullying and as we know, bullies are cowards. You have your own little minions to blindly back you up and your little delete button, so you think you can ride rough-shod over everyone else. I would say that's very witchy (modified the word so you won't be offended) and very schoolgirly.

granny,

Please clarify, which if you is the leader and which are the henchmen?...you just reduced Brit Chick and myself to minions, because we see validity in Jav's concerns. Since we apparently are void of our own freewill and opinions, then the mods should be considered the same, do you not agree?

You consider assertiveness to be bullying, but free speech is negotiable through comment deletions?

WBC - I deleted your comment, not granny. The conversation was between granny and Javelina. You didn't need to get in the middle and your comment was completely inappropriate and out of line. I took offense to it so I deleted it, which is completely within my rights as a mod.

If you don't like it, feel free to contact the administrator of the site. Before you do, understand this... I would have deleted your comment if you had called ANYONE a b*tchy schoolgirl. Understand?

Jav I did actually post saying that this won't be resolved in an adult manner because the mods are behaving like schoolgirls, and it was removed faster than I could blink! So much for "I don't go around stomping on people, or deleting comments because I just don't like them and neither do any of the other Mods..." eh granny?

that's truly hilarious! Don't pull any of the mods up on the fact that they are behaving completely innapropriately, because they will just delete your comments to ensure they get the last word. Have a little dignity and maybe think about removing a few of your own mud slinging comments, they don't endear you at all.

Jave: You don't have to like me, and I don't care what your minions think they "see"...There are a lot of others who "see" you as the biggest Troll on this site...That's neither here nor there...

Yes, I back ANY Mod who is being disrespected and lured into arguements for the sole purpose of trying to prove a point about deletions...Yeah, I see your game, Jave... You push the limits again and again... You make an effort to draw attention to your "plight" of being a "victim", all while deliberately disregarding the guidelines in hopes that other posters will fall into your paranoia trap...

You're not the center of "the YGS universe"...My thoughts aren't consumed by making you look bad, crazy, trollish or anything else those voices are telling you... It is not my purpose in life to "bring you down"...I have better things to do and think about than whether I'm pissing off a poster whose seemingly only goal in life is to try to make the moderators of this site appear like they've victimized them...

It's not ALL about you...

just because your hand wasn't smacked by an administrator doesn't mean you weren't doing anything wrong! Ever heard of a mob mentality? I don't like confrontation, I don't thrive off it like internet trolls and I don't like to think I have made someone angry or upset, even a stranger. But I do stick up for what I think is right and I don't think it would make me a good person to sit back and watch someone get bashed for trying to make their serious concerns heard.

Okay, here's the deal. Long and short of it. I contacted the site administrator because I actually wondered if maybe I might have overstepped my "mod boundaries" by posting the "if you don't have any advice, move on to another story, comments will be deleted, etc" speech. My hands were not smacked and I was not told to back off because I was targeting any particular members. We, the mods, are following the guidelines of the site, regardless of what it may look like.

And we will continue to do so.

Look granny, like it or not, everyone sees through the tag teaming you guys have been doing. Whenever it gets too uncomfortable for Miracles, you step in and lay the hammer down. It's one thing to back your friend, it's quite another to do it blindly. And that's what I see you doing. You back whatever her play is no matter what. She steps out and you step in. And for the record granny, you don't frighten me in the least. I like you, I always have. But your devotion to everything Miracles dislikes has become a point of contention around here. Sorry if you can't see it. But we do,

I actually think you were ganging up with the other 2 mods, and I don't think it was appropriate given that you seem to have singled out Jav and now Lou as well. Look, some points were raised about a potential paedophile on the site, and looking through that user's story, some of the similarities are just too uncanny and the language is not that of a 13 year old girl. It's not reassuring to think that there is one person creating multiple usernames, posting stories containing sexual and abusive themes for a purpose I don't even want to think about, and when someone flags it they are stamped on until they shut up. I don't think the posts violated any of those guidelines you posted below, and they were related to the original story. If this is a site where we all have to agree with with you or be deleted, then no, it ain't for me.

yes granny, I know what was taken out. It was the part where I brought up the fact that she was slowly deleting the comments of those who agreed with the position I had taken. And for your information, I had started out mentioning how aI knew the deletions from mods were left to your discretion.

Javelina: You're not a "victim" of any freaking thing, except yourself... I suggest you take a look at the homepage... The part that states this: "To keep a certain level of maturity and civility on this site, moderators may delete comments that are deemed too juvenile, inappropriate or troublesome, to their discretion."

I believe everyone thinks I came in as a booster to the other 2 mods who commented, when in fact, I deleted a totally unrelated "conversation" between you and Miracles that very few posters saw...I'm sure you have it copied and archived somewhere...

Your comments weren't the only ones deleted by me or anyone else... Get over yourself!...

Worried-Brit-Chick and anyone else who thinks Javelina is being ganged up on: No... There were several comments on that thread that were deleted BY ME...

I'm tired of having to explain myself to you guys... The rules state:

**As a general rule, posts should be on topic and related to an author's story. If you have something entirely unrelated to say, please use your own story to do so. Comments may gradually get off track a bit, it happens, but don't jump in a story with a completely different subject, or worse, just to promote commenting on your own story. Also, make sure to read the previous posts before publishing yours.
**Posts that are abusive, vulgar, insulting or spammy will be deleted. If a person persists in posting such messages numerous times, they will be blocked / banned from this site. We also reserve the right to delete comments that are juvenile, off-topic, very poorly written, unintelligible, incoherent, messages all in UPPERCASE or with every first letter capitalized, and anything that looks like promotional material.

I really don't care who it is, I will continue to delete comments that don't comply with the guidelines... If any one has a problem that, then maybe this site isn't for you...

Jave: Yeah, it was kind'a weird the way it hit me... I was just sitting there, thinking of nothing really, and smelling freshly cut grass from my step-brother's house across the street (you know we in the desert don't get that small pleasure very often)...And the thought just snuck in and my stomach flip-flopped...

Geez, I've been negligent in my replies 😳...

Steph: I really don't think she'll ever come around to my way of thinking LOL... But that's okay, not everybody can, or is willing to, come to terms with the possibility of the paranormal...

Adsouza: Between Miracles and Rook, I've finally decided it's time to do the journal thing...It's funny, I've given that advice a number of times but I haven't done so myself...

Red: hehehe...Sorry!...That must've hurt, huh?...

DARKNESS: You know it's always better late than never to hear from you!...Even though I have to use the caps lock, and you know how bad I am at forgetting it's on LOL!...I reget not putting the fresh batteries we'd bought that day in the recorder, but oh well... I really have no clue who these entities (or entity) are... But I have a feeling they're going to be there for a while...

Aussie: That's another regret I have, that I wasn't more specific in asking for "their best shot"!...I really think that when they find someone who believes or can sense them they become much more active... I would love to have the opportunity to take Miracles or you there for a night and see what you guys come up with... Ah well, dreamers dream πŸ˜†

Thank you all for reading and commenting, sorry I was late! ❀

SpiderZA: In my opinion, the batteries had been drained... I had replaced them with fresh ones before we left on our trip because I was planning on doing some EVP sessions... Never did get that far πŸ˜† because I figured our experiences were enough for a story here 😊...

Rook: Yep!...Even by documenting experiences here, it's great to have something to refresh your memory...

Miracles: While Sandy was living there, she had the entire upstairs recarpeted, including both stairways, so the creaks are the only way you can hear somebody walking... I was pretty excited when I didn't see JR in the mirror, and then to hear him as he came through the door!

One thing I should have mentioned is Sandy's son lived with her for a while (1 year younger than JR) and he always slept on the couch, too πŸ˜†
