Haleybug! When I saw that you put "ESPN" instead of "ESP", I found it funny because I thought I was the only one that said that! 😊~Shelby ❤

hi guys ❤
i'm just used to hearing and seeing things that I can "tune it out" and take it in stride. I only wish that I could turn the "espn" off. 😆

Hi Haleybug. This same thing happens to me. It just happened this past Saturday morning around 5:00 a.m. It woke me from a sound sleep. I thought someone was at my front door. I then heard it again, but nobody there. I agree with Shane. It sounds residual. Glad to hear that you're not afraid of it. I wonder if it has anything to do with the ages of your children. Just a thought.

On a side note: Welcome back Shane! You've been missed. Hope you had an uneventful trip back to the states. Hope you're adjusting to the temperature change! 😁

You are laughing, Haleybug, but this just happened in our house. So maybe I should be laughing too. 😆 I was cleaning out my son's closet (his is like the storage room that we once had) and heard a knocking to my right, but out of the closet. I looked, no one in the room that I could see. I go back to my chore, and this time the knocking is from inside the closet with me. I'm still thinking "who the heck...?" but walk out again to see who is messing with me. I went to my daughters door (her wall is the same wall the knocking came from) and in a nasty voice asked her what she wanted. I thought she had gone out, but when I saw her in there I assumed it was her trying to get me frizzled again. She shot back "You guys are the one's knocking on MY wall..."
You Guys?! I was the only one in there! I wonder what THAT was all about? But I think it is residual, like possibly in your home. Oh, yeah, we have only been here since Nov. 4. And I thought I was going nuts from all the other things going on around here...

Hello mustang and White Buffalo
the sad thing is I've only been in this house for 6 months, and when it all started I thought is was cats then knocking on the doors. I thought it was just me until my mom herd it on friday. 😆

Hi Haleybug. I think that KimSouthO and Shane have the best answers here. What is disturbing about residual hauntings are their ability to lie dormant for a while. (I just learned that, you all probably already knew that) You could, theoretically live in a home for years with out a thing happening and then straight out of nowhere a residual haunting restarts. I still haven't figured out why or how it knows to start again as it is not an intelligent haunting but... That is MY problem, not yours.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
Mustang: every time you speak of your past, it is like you are reading a page out of my book. The similarities are extraordinary.

Hello Haleybug! I agree that there is nothing at all to worry about. I would have to agree with Shane and Kim on the things you should do about this. It seems obvious that it is trying to get your attention and your attention alone. Maybe it is trying to tell you something or maybe it's just playing with you. Has anyone else heard these knockings? I have had my door knocked on in a type of tune and at the same time this happened I was in the front of the house and when I looked out of the window by the front door nobody was there. One time my doorbell rang and I just happened to be walking by the front door and I looked out of the peephole and again nobody was there. Before I got with my husband and I was living alone with my oldest daughter, when I would go to bed at night, I would her this faint tapping sound on my head board that nobody else heard but me. Really strange! It all stopped as suddenly as it started. My daughter was at her Mema's house and she said that she was laying in her Dad's bed(he lives with his mother) and she was in there by herself of course. She said she heard something tapping on the wall. They live in a mobile home. She said there was no trees to even be able to touch the mobile home to make that noise. She said it kept on doing it like it was trying to get her attention but she was so tired she didn't even care. The tapping had seized and she said she saw a translucent male, shadowy figure walk past the bed and go straight into the closet through the wall. The closet door was broken and always stayed open that's why she said she saw it go through the wall into the room she has always told me wierd things happened in and always creeped her out. She hates that room. Believe it or not, her being fourteen, she didn't even budge from the bed because she was too tired and she's used to seeing and hearing things there and also in our own home. I hope things turn out ok and stop. Keep in touch with us on this so maybe if it changes or gets worse we can figure something else out or what else it could be. ~Shelby ❤ 😊

Hi haleybug, I think that our friendly neighborhood ghost chaser has it pegged. I don`t think it`s anything to worry about. I would do what Kim has suggested and if that didn`t work, then I would start worrying but not until. Take care and God Bless.

I would agree with Shane, it does sound like a residual haunting. I would say poltergeist activity, however, they generally will move or manipulate items in the home.

Try the smudge ceremony, it is very effective. I would also suggest placing a cross in each rroom and praying. Tell it to go and rest in the name of the Lord.

God Bless!

Hi Haleybug, just me, your friendly neighborhood ghost chaser. I don't think you have anything to fear. It almost sounds like a residual haunting. Happens then stops and then happens again. Try writing down the times and enviromental conditions as the events take place and see if there is a pattern to them. If they happen at the same time or under the same circumstances each time then you will know you have a residual haunting, if not then you may be dealing with the paranormal. I would suggest then to have the house blessed or a smudge ceremony performed upon it. Keep us informed and thanks for the story.

Peace, Love, and Luck be with you.

Hello there. I would recommend reading 'Come Closer' by Sara Gran. The exact same thing happened in this book, and it turned out to be the beginning of a demonic possession.
