Dear Ms. Jones, I would very much like to know how you so safely and effectively use your talking board. I am very curious as you how you refuse to talk to evil spirits and distill only the good ones.

Thank you.

FRAWIN, hit the nail on the head here. Most often, when employing Ouija boards, the spirits you "ask for" are not the ones you get. Usually, you get an imposter--something that says it's your grandfather or whatnot, but is really just a mischeivous spirit--either human or demon--that will simply toy with you and tell you what you want (or don't want!) to hear.

More likely than not, whatever you contacted that night was simply playing with you. I think it is indeed coincidence that your friend died on water. I mean, there are so many ways to interpret that! For example, your friend didn't technically die on or in water, per se. The cause of their death was blunt trauma at incredible velocity. And "when" is such a relative term. In my family, any death before 80 is considered "young" as all my grandparents are pushing 90 and my grandfather is "predicted" to last past 100. So who's to say when an earlier death would be?

It is always terrible to lose a loved one, but assuming that some spirit had anything at all to do with your friends' deaths give too much power and credit to what was probably just a nefarious, yet ultimately harmless and ignorant, spirit.

Peace.

I've used the talking board (Ouija) all my life since I was a teenager. I only use if for positive purposes. I've had three instances. The first one was it told me my best friend was going to be murdered and when, where, who. Well I blew it off not believing it. Well it happened exactly as it said to the T. That was my first encounter that made me realize this thing is real. Another friend was murdered although it didn't tell me about it up front. It did tell me who would find him where he was buried, how he was buried. Who did it. That it would draw national attention on two TV networks. Everything was right on the money. Sometimes bad spirits try to come through, I won't even communicate with them. I lock it up for awhile until they leave. My third instance was I caught my husband cheating 7 times using the board. Told me where he was and who with. Talking boards are not all bad. You can learn how to use it in a positive way. Those who are naive and don't know how to use it properly can let evil spirits in their lives, I choose not to. It's been a very helpful tool at times. Getting a good job. Any time a bad spirit tries to communicate with me I refuse to talk to them. And yes they will cuss you, tell you to do evil things and manifest themselves in your lives if you let them. I have the same talking board I bought at a garage sale when I was fifteen years old. Allot of it has to do with your state of mind at the time of use. People that do use them need to be careful and be educated on them. Anyway I'm not afraid of them - they can't physically hurt you.

First, I am very sorry for your loss. Second, although young and naive, I am very sorry that this 'thing' has had such a profound effect on your life.

The question of will I die young is completely subjective. As you stated in one part of your story, is it 30 years or 50 years?

When using these 'things' they will play on and off of our worst fears and emotions, and death is often times some ones worse fear. If it isn't at the time the question is asked, it comes to be with time, just as it did with you.

Opening the portal using this 'thing' caused who knows what to provide answers to frighten you and to hopefully keep you using the board, thus keeping the portal active.

Please, pray about this. Take the control from that session so long ago back. Mourn for your friend, pray for her and live your life to the best each and every day!

God Bless!

Ouija boards are super creepy and incredibly dangerous because you never know what you're opening up to. But I don't believe you will die young because the board predicted it. Every single second of our lives we make decisions and do things that alter our path. Nothing is predetermined. We make the decision to take a certain route to work one day and are late for work but avoid a fifty car pile up on the highway. Everything happens for a reason but nothing is set in stone. Your friends death was a tragedy but was not predicted.

Hello Nebmom. Do I believe that "talking boards" work? Yes I do-how I don't know but they do work. Do I believe that Yuri actually predicted your friends death? No I dont. To say when a person will die and tell how they die would mean that everthing is predestined. If everthing was predestined then there would be no need to make life choices-everything we be preplanned. A person's life would be unchangeable and we all know that to be false. Your friend's death was a coincidence and you need to rid yourself of any guilt feelings over the use of the board. Only God knows when our time on earth is up and he's keeping that to himself.
When I was fourteen I had a talking board, not a ouija, but one you used a pendulum with. I used this with good success and one day I asked it when and where I would die(I know, dumb question) and it said 1995 in Lima,Ohio.Well thirteen years after my death date and I'm still here. The point I'm making is that nothing is set in stone and a person's life is guided by their choices and decisions-not some spirit's.Needless to say I've never been to Ohio-my choice, my decision. Take Care.

FRAWIN 😊

Bally,
I'm with you for the explanation of ouija boards. I believe it is a reflection of our subconcious. Now I don't know how to explain the likes of Patience Worth or other people that seemed to have channeled writings through a ouija board. I also know when teens use them they can get some really grim information. Teen anger? Who knows? For myself, having used one as a teen and as an adult it was just a bust. Nothing. So I guess I'm not one that shares this superstition about ouija boards creating havoc.I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I have never had the experience so I really can't say.

Hi Nebmom. My old best friend's Mom and sister were playing the Ouija board when they were teenagers and the board eventually started cursing them which is a very common occurrence with the board. They threw the board out into the trash just as you had down, and the next day when they opened up the front door it was sitting on their welcome mat. VERY DISTURBING! I have also had my own issues with Ouija boards. I was about the same age as you when I messed around with one and ever since I have had run ins with really creepy things. As everyone else has told you, Ouija boards can be very dangerous. I would have to agree with Erica that these ghosts/spirits can not tell your future and were just scaring you both. I think that the accident was a coincidence because it is something that DOES happen to people a lot in places that have ice on the roads. I would keep track of your health with the doctors since you do have a pre-cancerous condition but you should not worry that you will die at a young age of some horrible death. I wish you all the luck in the world and will have you in my prayers. Don't worry about dying young. The board is lying to you and your friend's accident, I believe, is a coincidence like I had said.

SHELBY ❤ 😊

Hey Nebmom. I would have to agree with Flutterofwings and Erica that Ouija boards are not games and should never be used. I don't know if a spirit can tell you your future but I also cannot see why it would tell you if it actually knew. Seeing it from a human prospective, I would have to say that if someone wanted to "control" or "manipulate" someone else, the best way to achieve it is by making that someone frightened and insecure about themselves. If a spirit wanted you to keep opening the portal to the other world as Flutter very well put it, it would try to lure you into doing that by seeking its assistance or answer to a question again. Let alone that I do believe that some spirits just enjoy tormenting the living so,there's a good chance it would lie to achieve that. Try to cleanse yourself from the past, if you can get hold of the board, ask those who know about the proper way of destroying it and don't ever get yourself involved with such dangerous and destructive forces again. Wish you all the luck ❤

I am so sorry for your loss. Sometimes our teenage friends can be closer than blood sisters.
I have used a glass and cut out letters of the alphabet for many years and have come to the conclusion that it is our own inner power that guides the glass.
I totally agree with a comment you used. Something can pop into your head, names, places and the board or glass spells it out. This seems seems to confirm it is the subconscious.

I was told many years ago that I was going to be murdered by a scouser called Julian (someone from Liverpool) within 12 months. I wasn't too worried. At the time I didn't know any scousers, although 7 years later I married one. He isn't called Julian or knows anyone of that name.
20 years on and obviously this never came to pass.
I feel your friends death was was a tragic co-incidence.Please don't waste time worrying about your own life.

I don't understand how someone could ask the question "how and when will I die?" and of an ouija board no less. The knowledge of your own doom could destory you.

Yes, it is dangerous to use a ouija board, because when you are using one you are calling attention to spirits/demons/etc. No, demons/evil entitites can not predict the future. Unless it was Satan himself, the future was not predicted, and you guys were either fooling yourselves, or it was something that cannot be explained. I am just telling you, it was probably a coincidence, car accidents like that are very common. I am very sorry for your loss. But, recognize that playing with evil and tempting it like that is not a smart idea. You need to cleanse yourself of the past, you need to ask God for forgivness, and you need to cleans yourself of the past... Or evil entities will try to get in contact with you again in the future, because it's not the ouija board that is evil, it's the evil and spirits that come when you use one that you should be worried about. You look for spirits, so they come to you. They might of been trying to give you a message of what happened to them in the past or a friend or some one they knew in the past. Usually spirits come to people to deliver messages, so maybe the water related death was not meant for you guys, but rather the spirit trying to relay a message about theirselves to you, and you didn't recognize that.

There is a lot of evil with an ouija board, once the portal is open anything can come out. And as far as can an evil enitiy predict the future, I suppose they could do anything, and maybe even be linked to what happen to cause the accident.
Ouija boards are nothing to play with, lots of evil and distruction can happen. I have a story on here "Ouija board in the basement" people got hurt playing this so called game.
What ever happen to the ouija board you and Beth played with now? If it was disposed of in a proper way, then chances are this was not caused by the ouija board, if it was not well then anything is possible, what comes out of them. Can and often due stick with a person the rest of there lives.
I know since I played with this ouija board when I was a teenager and now I am in my 50's, I have had nothing but bad luck all my life.
