The Laughing Little Girl

This story starts at about 10. 30 pm in Ireland. I was in my bedroom in my old house (I moved somewhere else in May but not because of this experience). I was trying to get to sleep but I just couldn't, I was looking around my room trying to wind down, but what I heard next certainly didn't help me get to sleep!

From outside the door of my room I heard a loud giggle. It sounded as if it was made by a little girl and there were no young children in my house or outside at this time. This part sounds kind of weird though, I got this mental picture of the little girl (is that normal?, she was about three or four years old and had dark shoulder length hair and a fringe. It also seemed as if she was either with some friends or playing with toys. The laughter got louder and I got freaked out. It eventually stopped and after a while a fell asleep.

I told my mom all about it and, though she believes in ghosts because her father (my grandfather) was a psychic and sometimes we both are a little bit psychic too, she brushed it off as nothing.

It seemed out of character for my mom, but the other morning in our new house she told me (and I know it wasn't a lie because she knows how much I am interested in the paranormal) that about a week before I heard the little girl laughing she had a dream about a little girl of about three or four with dark shoulder length hair and a fringe coming up to her while she was sleeping (she didn't really mention whether she was seeing herself in the dream or was her in her dream) and trying to speak to her.

She said to was almost like she couldn't say hello to her like she was trying but just couldn't and the weirdest part of it all was I hadn't told her what my mental image of the little girl was.

I think that the image of the girl you saw in your head was spot on. I wonder what you found out at the show. I've had similar type experiences. I'm new to the site and I've only submitted one story but I have had experiences all my life. Maybe you'll get a chance to read mine. I'm from the U.S. Michigan. I'm reading all the Ireland stories cause that's where my family is from and I've always wanted to visit.

[at] enchantix12 yeah maybe she was my mom and I are very interested in the angels and my grandad used to say I was a little angel 😁
[at] metanormalcom thank you for your compliment on my story (I thought no one was going to read it) no, it doesn't really make much sense to me that it is about an old woman all alone but you never know! Haha
[at] snowhite yeah my mom and I are going to go to a phychic show thing in March so hopefully we'll get some answers there! 😁

Instead of guessing, maybe you need to ask a real psychic to tell you who this little girl is. You and your mom are sensitive to spirits, but not sensitive enough to figure it out on your own.

Your grandparent was a physic, alright you should look at this part, maybe he is trying to send you a message, a laughing little girl with black hair and a fringe, the opossite of it is:An old lady crying with white hair all alone, without friends... It could really be meaning something to you? Thank you for sharing this great story.

At cocoloco: she might have been an angel! Or something else but with what you said she doesn't sound like a ghost to me anymore. 😁

[at] enchantix12 My Mom saw her and she said she was wearing a white dress possibly Victorian and it didn't seem like she was murdered, she seemed playful and like she wanted to speak to us. Haven't been able to find anything on my old house yet though.

Maybe she has a connection with the house or maybe she was murdered there? Did she have blood stains on her clothes? Or was she wearing victorian era clothes? You need to do some research. 😊

Wow that is pretty scary, maybe you should help her cross to the other side or something, because she may be trapped in the house. 😐

oh maybe the girl is ancestor of yours and needs help to re-unite with her family, or she could be a lost spirit. 😐

It eventually stopped and after a while a fell asleep.
Shouldn't that last sentence read "It eventually stopped and after awhile I fell asleep."?
