After an entirely relaxing day with family and friends myself and my partner went to sleep round midnight, I would say I was asleep about 2 hours when my dream state seemed to get taken over. In the most unashamedly aggressive manner I have ever felt. I'm usually a very chilled person, no nightmare problems or anything so this was out of the blue. My dream turned nasty, something tried to either "go for me" or get inside me but either way it was pure aggression I was feeling towards me. Next thing I recall doing was trying to fight it, I got the overwhelming feeling that I was losing the battle so I started to pray and got half way through the Hail Mary when the "spirit" thing tried its best to stop me from finishing.

Then I woke with a bang, definite in the knowledge of what just happened and that I had been in a dream and in the knowledge that I had just gotten the luckiest break I will ever get in my life in that I just did enough to fight it off.

To make matters worse, the only person I told was my partner who said the usual " your imagination " is the cause. I told no one else until my house mate commented that something strange happened to her late last night... My partner is now trying to console our house mate, She had a man breath on her and make " menacing " type sounds over her while she lay there, he stood watching her for close to an hour she said while her partner was asleep beside her.

Both of us are positive its a man, but I'm sure he tried to I don't know "take over" me last night... Like I said I used to be sane.

fair enough, I didn't sign up to this site to banter with pretenders...

But you as an admin, have you not seen patterns to the stories submitted here?
For example mine, possible dark shadow figure at night, looked male, the feeling of being watched constantly and the general consensus was that it is upto no good...
I see a lot about something called an "incubus" as well...

So what I would suggest is a new feature for the site where in the stories you find patterns - i.e. Dark figures, incubi (idk) etc, that there is info readily available like ways to protect yourself, if their are any... A mini search engine for what some one thinks might be there, I mean it couldn't hurt - I signed up here for info no more no less, I imagine others have too

Is that the best you can do? I find that quite sad really. I thought you had more to you than "I know you are, but what am I?"
Oh well, live and learn I guess.

You said yourself that you had gone through hundreds of these stories on this site. In all of those you should have run across a few that had done the cleansing. It works Jack. It needs to be reapplied periodically, more so at first, and tapering off later on. It is different for each situation and the degree of infestation you are dealing with.

Jack: I don't know if you want this info or not, but if you go to the top of the page you'll see a tab that says "Directories"...If you click on that, go to "Ghost Hunters and Paranormal Investigators" in the dropdown menu, then to Ireland...

But, what I really need to say is this back and forth has to end... I don't want to start deleting, even though my finger is itching! 😆

Good point though. If I even move from my bed the missus notices.

Housemate was saying to me yesterday that she popped her head up for a look and there was nothing visible there but she could hear something very close to her bed, she also said to me that she closed her eyes and asked her granny who's passed away for help and the noises stopped soon after - she's convinced asking her granny helped

Top of the morning to ye all! 'Missus' is an irish slang term for girlfriend, I can vouch for that at least 😉.

As for what has happened, do you think you had been sleepwalking Jack? And accidently mistook the roomate's room for your own, and you were the very one who stood there at the bed?

Granny I wish I could agree - the lady medium/spiritualist person my mum went to years ago charges an arm and a leg

But I do understand what you mean - help everyone and anyone in need and don't do it for the money

Maybe I misjudged this website, I have been called a liar, had my sexual orientation questioned by using a fairly common word for other half and have had my post picked at constantly for the last 3 days... Yet the people who have posted strikingly similar stories retain their credibility cause they tolerated the likes of lou + jav expressing concerns that you probably dreamt the whole thing

And to go along with Miracles comment, any reputable medium or paranormal investigator WILL NOT charge for their services... If you continue to have problems, I may be able to help you find investigators in your area... Most are associated with either mediums, priests or pastors in your area, which ever you prefer...Or, Google is a great source 😆

Jack - I've deliberately stayed away from your story and the comments because I didn't want drawn into the arguments. But this last comment of yours made me wonder something.

Are you seeking "free" help here? Thinking maybe there are mediums or psychics who will help you rather than having to pay one who makes a living doing this?

oh I understand that no one here is professional and I do get that I could have been more detailed but I thought you know what my 1st post il just stick to the point that this is what I believe happened and maybe someone else has a similar story and can shed some light and maybe some advice on keeping safe...

The 1st few comments were great, gave me something to do and focus my energy on instead of worrying about a repeat episode. Then how I worded my story was getting scrutinized and yeah it was frustrating because it was very counter productive in my eyes...

Yeah its been about 7 days or so and nothing since... Burned sage very soon after, tried the cleansing thing and someone else said tell it to move on so I did... That's the kind of HELP I was looking for cause its pretty much exactly what a medium would tell you to do...

Jack86: What kind of help exactly would you be looking for?...We're not professional ghost busters here... Nor would any of us claim to be experts... All we can do is give advice according to our own experiences and what we've learned by researching...Rook's cleansing recipe has worked for more than just a few posters on this site alone...Otherwise, you may try contacting a medium, pastor or priest... You mentioned that you did the cleansing... Are things better, worse, not changed?...

In all honesty, I was also under the impression that your relationship was same sex by the use of the term "partner"...It's a term used pretty much universally, not just here in the States, so I can totally understand why previous posters may have misunderstood... I know you feel the nature of your sexual preference has nothing to do with your problem, but please re-read Lou's comment with an open mind; as recently as 10 years ago, gays and lesbians were ostrasized, so his theory isn't far off... And it is a thought I had myself but he beat me to the comment...

Now, I hope you learned something from posting your experience... Next time be as detailed as possible to avoid any misinterpretations or scrutinizing questions 😊
