As they say strength in numbers. You can try getting together with the family and sitting down at a table and you may feel silly doing it but get everyone to be adamant and tell whatever this entity is to leave the house and that it is not wanted. Make sure you are also respectful. Also you can try sprinkling sea salt in the Closet and Maybe a small pile of rice. The old tale that runs with my family that with the rice is that most spirits are compelled to count the rice and it frustrates them to the point they leave. If the pile moves add some more to it. Also, investigate and try to show the entity you are not afraid. Station some video cameras and voice recorders when you try to talk to it with the family also. Stay Vigilant and safe.
