An Orb Floating Above my Grandmother's Headstone

It was March 3rd, 2007. Me and my family where at my grandmother's tomb on her memorial day. It was a sad day. We sang the songs she wrote in her journal. I took a picture of her tomb, and a strange light of ball appeared floating near it on the photo on my camera. Their was nothing their before I took anything. I have no idea what it is called. Does anybody know out there? I would like to know.

I'm glad to be sharing my photo I took with you. Can you help? I have written a story called: The Ireland Hunted House. Perhaps you would like to read that too. But I need help with this one.

This has never happened to me before. It's disturbing. What makes the thing appear? Why did it only show on my camera film? It's all too strange. I hope there's someone out there with similar experience. This is the first time a thing like this has happened to me. My photo is with this story, and I am not joshing about it. Me and my Aunt Mary where the only ones there. Does anybody know? My Aunt Mary is scared of it, she confiscated my camera from me. I'm mad at that. I have other photos also, with the same things happened.

My Grandmother's Headstone Vortex
My Grandmother's Headstone Orb 1
My Grandmother's Headstone Orb 2
My Grandmother's Headstone Orb 3

I'm glad I found this web site. It helps me share my troubled feelings and thoughts I need to know. Please, I need help.

The first image appears to be a candle light using a longer exposure. The second actually looks like the moon. The third looks as though you haven't cleaned your leans or your flash has reflected back to your lens. And the fourth just looks like you've combined the two photos

Personal opinion on what your camera may be doing.

The first one on top of the cake looks like candles although the one in the lower left corner is interesting. The 2nd and 3rd photos are merely dust specks reflecting lights but the 4th photo might have something there.

Well, I really think those are spirits... That's what Michael (my soulmate) told me... They're too bright, too full of light to be dust or bugs or I don't know what else in our true reality which is the same for all...
Light Angels are really bright, I can see them! Not only in that "orb" form, but I imagine Michael looking just like he was in his previous life... I can't hug a circle you know! I need something like a human!
My opinion is that our souls do look light orbs, but in our "own" reality they look like human beings...
I think that was your grandma in the graveyard pics... She looks like a really bright, loving soul and I believe she's with you, maybe she's just hugging you in this very moment!
That's my belief... You believe what you want to...

Hello! I'm relatively new to this, as in I've never actually had any pictures of orbs or anything like that, but I know that they are quite common, and I don't think I've heard of any orbs causing physical harm to anyone. If I were you I wouldn't be worried about it. You were in a graveyard, so naturally there were a lot of spirits around. It could be any of them. I wouldn't worry about it though. πŸ˜‰

4u_allie,
Yes, the 3 pictures in the cemetary are orbs. And wow, great pictures you got there. Please do not be afraid, or freaked out by these. They only assure that there is energy out there, and we can capture them on film. I've had hundreds of pictures with orbs in them, same as these 3. The first one is not an orb, although it may be an orb on the hand. The other light anomaly is something I've seen on many of my pictures, but unfortunately, that I do not have an explanation for. I do know that it is energy, same as the orbs, only different, if that helps. These are good pictures though.

I am a late comer here, but trying to figure out what the first picture is about, didn't mention it in your story.

Hey, Mustang and WHitebuffalo, chek out my twins sister website! It rocks. It's important you do. People from Tennesee, NY, Miami have commented on it already, it's big news! If you want to comment on it, do it on her Blog.
PEACE, Alex.
P.S., our parents named us twins the same name. But my twin now lives in America instead of with me.

Hey buffy! That IS really funny! I love talking to you when I can and would love to talk on this site and also elsewhere. It seems that it is TOO hard to converse with each other on here only because it takes TOO long to get the message/post and also the timing, PERIOD! I don't know what it is, but I feel, like I said before, some kind of spiritual connection with you. We have SO many similarities. It is definitely uncanny. ~Shelby ❀ 😊

OMG Shelby,
That is funny as heck! The children's friends call me Buffy for just about the same reason! πŸ˜† I sure would not take that offensively! In fact, I am about to fall out of this chair! (Well, either that or it was the flying karate kick that I tried to perform and ended up on my backside while most of them were present)
We will have to try to set up a time to be on here together and see what we can do about that chat room!

Sorry 4u-allie but I must speak to my favorite gal! 😊

Hey buffy(whitebuffalo)! I called you buffy because I love the shows "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel". Buffy-buffalo, kind of similar wording. You get it, right? I hope that you don't mind. How are you doing? I hope your holiday's were as wonderful as you.

To answer your question as to what I would have done about "if there were thousands of orbs'? I DEFINITELY would NOT be ripping the couch apart to dust/clean it or what have you! Yes, I am a Virgo which in case you didn't know, makes you a perfectionist. I gave up on trying to keep things TOO neat and tidy a long time ago. Having a teenager, pre-teen, 4.5 year old and a 3 year old will make that happen. πŸ˜†

I always have orbs in my pictures. Not all of them mind you, but a lot of them! If there were thousands of them... I think that would have been awesome and very interesting and unexplainable, in my eyes, or I must need to dust extremely bad!

I wish we could be on this site at the same time so I could talk to you in the chat room, e-mail or phone for that matter. By the way, I NEVER say that too anyone! Pinky promise! =) I don't know why but you are the only one on this site that I feel a spiritual connection with. πŸ˜•

Later Gator!

Mustang, you crack me up! (Sorry for the interruption to your page, 4u_allie) Making those girls plop down on a couch. What would you have done if the photograph came back with a thousand orbs in it? Never mind, I already know, πŸ˜† you would have torn the couch apart cleaning it.

4u, While we would all like to have photographs of our loved ones after they pass, not all of us seem to get anything. To me, it does look as if the cake photo is just the jiggle of light from the candle and not actually a sign of a parallel universe. And unfortunately, I have photos with orbs in them too, but there are also some very good explanations as to what those could be besides my loved ones. What matters is what you think. Do you think this was your visiting Grandmother?
Thank you for this story.

Hi, 4u-allie. There are a lot of things that can cause all types of crazy looking things on pictures. It could be old film, dust, bugs, development of the pictures, for instance, to me the first picture of the birthday cake looks as though there was a lit candle on it and someone was holding it and the person that took the picture could have taken it at just the right time the cake with the lit candle on it moved from in front of you from right to left and caught the glare from behind the lit candle because you can see that the left side of it is in the center of the cake perfectly. That's just my thought on that one. The second one does look like an orb. The third looks like dust and as for the fourth one, I have never seen anything like it before. It looks like it's raining orbs. Anyway, I have caught a lot of things on pictures but when I do see something I always try to think logically and usually it ends up being nothing abnormal at all. Then there are times when you just have no explanation like when I was taking pictures of my step-daughter Alexandria and my daughter Amberley on a digital camera (which are not the best cameras to take pictures of ghosts on because of flaws in them you can't trust what you're seeing is authentic) I started noticing on reviewing them that there were always lots of orbs around my daughter Amberley but none at all around Alexandria. So I did an experiment. I had them plop on the couch (where I was taking the pictures) and I would take the picture of them as they were plopping down on the couch to see if it could have been dust floating in the air but this time there was not one orb on the picture. I went to different rooms taking pictures of both girls together and the orbs appeared again, lots of them, only around Amberley. I just thought that her Angels and guides wanted to be in the pictures that day! 😁 ❀-Shelby

Dear 4u_allie,

Welcome 4u_allie, as well as open skeptic, Ohiowatha. ;)

All the comments made before my present one are comments and advice to be openly considered and addressed. They are all meant well.

I have to say that I am not a photography expert or computer graphic expert. I do know from my own research and friends who do this type of work that it is possible for such occurrences in photos to have a logical cause and explanation, especially as those Shane and Ohiowatha pointed out in their comments to you.

The jury is still out on what orbs truly are and there are many various explanations. Your personal perception and definition of an orb is as good as another's.

I do not know what a vurtex is unless you mean vortex? If you mean vortex, please research this subject for yourself and share it here with us. Thanks.--Abby

I remember seeing a floating orb outside my bedroom window a couple months ago. I don't know why, but I think it was my grandpa.

Well, intresting pictures bye the way. And thanks for sharing your story with us all. Aren't you glad we have discussions to help? πŸ˜‰

uhhmm, I wouldn't have been the cause of that ummm, nervous break down, would I? I do believe you are right about our new resident skeptic, at least he is willing to keep a more open mind about the subject and not state that the only real paranormal is the one he experienced and the rest of us are just liars. Which I did forget, Welcome Ohiowatha!

Peace, Love, and Luck be with you.

I think we have our new resident skeptic for YGS πŸ˜‰ The old one, had, um, a nervous breakdown or something πŸ˜† I agree with Ohiowatha for the cake, the others are more interesting, although I admit, I'm not a big fan of orbs or strange mists. When is someone going to come up with a nice human silhouette or an apparition?

...and I'd be willing to bet the streak in the cake picture is from... A candle on the cake!

Hi, 4u_allie. I think the candle photo is caused by the camera being jiggled but the others, well the bigger brighter one is your grandmother. The other smaller ones may be other spirits from the cemetery. Thanks for the story and photos.

Orbs can be caused by just about anything. Bugs flying in front of the camera, to dust. Yours, I am not too sure about as they are very reflective of the flash coming from your camera. I would have to run it through my photo software to see if I could rule out any natural causes. Now the streaks some say are caused by a hair laying across the lens or by the strap of the camera. Others that they are electrical disturbances that some how get imprinted on film. Or both the orbs and the streaks could be ghost/spirits. Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

Peace, Love, and Luck be with you.
