Min Min Lights

Min Min Lights have to be the most frightening experience ever yet. Around the Boulia region in south-west Queensland, mystical orbs roam the country side, scaring cattlemen and causing major accidents to drivers and truckies.

My experience goes like this.

I was driving from Innamincka, which is not so far from Boulia, to Boulia and up to a place called Mount Isa, when I noticed a pair of "headlights", tailgating behind me. It was getting really annoying after five minutes and I was begging him/her to overtake, but he/she wouldn't. So I decided to slow down to piss him/her off. Then, all of a sudden, the so called "headlights" turned out to be "Min Min Lights". I stopped the car, hearing the screech of the tires behind me as the Min Min Lights flew around the car.

I was searching for my camera to take a photo when one of the Min Min Lights got closer to my car. It hovered closer and closer almost blinding me, then it just dissolved as the break of dawn was coming up.

I never ever want to go there again, and I'm sure you won't as soon as you seen the Min Min Light.

My dads mate was tailed by the minute minute light for almost an hour. He said it was the most terrifying experience of his life.

We were speeding one night when we saw minute minute lights, got caught by the cops, but they let u's off when we told them what happened...:D

go out to PILLIGA SCRUB there is a stretch of highway that runs between Narabri and Coonabarrabran that is said to be one of the scariest places in Australia. There have been sightings of many minute minute lights and Yowies as well, there are road signs that read DO NOT STOP YOWIES NEXT 122KM, even truckies did not stop There during the blockades... There are many types of minute min lights there are ones that following you like in this story and there are also ones that lead you to the middle of nowhere and leave you stranded, I have also heard of the daylight minute min lights it is said they steal your soul if they pass over your shadow.

Min Min lights are gases, or so I've read. I've read many a good stories on Min Mins. The name Min Min came from an old pub in QLD back in the late 1800s that was haunted by these lights. To the American and English readers, Min Min lights are like Jack O' Lantern, a ball of floating light. Old drovers in Australia used to think they were ghosts of lost riders, the local Indigneous people believe them to be spirits of dead ones. Kyle's story proves that Min Min do exisit in one form or other 😐. Where I live in NSW on the coast, Min Min have appeared. I seen one many years ago but I was drunk so I can't say whether or not I actually 'saw' it or imagined it

I can get a strange feeling of a house. I have seen 1 ghost of a teenage boy at my boyfriends old house staring and smiling at me. I told my boyfriend he freaked out and went mad at me because at the end of the day he had to live in that house on his own. I have seen 2 ghosts in my house and the 3rd I only heard. I have seen 2 floating clouds in my bedrooms one at my nanna house and one at my house in my bedroom how strange! I saw some minute lights 2 they went purple then red then purple they were only 2. I'm glad I read your story that is interesting. Thanks for sharing it with us. 😊

every house I move to have a ghost that's freekin me out what should I do I'm not crazy or mental retard it I don't drink or smoke I tell people they say yeah yeah sure help be nice

i have seen 8 off them 9th one the mother off min min lights was chasing me from sky short cut from glaston to monto don't drive that rd good luck everyone

Dear Kyle, Thank you for sharing your story. I have not heard the term "min min lights". Perhaps, that is what is in my bedroom at night. I like that term, but I can see where such an experience like yours would give one a scare.
