The Christmas Ghost

Going back to 1988 I was on holidays in a small country town in Australia named Murwillumbah. I was up from Sydney where I was working (actually in a haunted department and I promise to write that one out, too) and was up visiting my parents.

We went out to some Christmas Do and came back a bit latish that night, Christmas Eve 1988. I went straight to bed for I was buggered and dozed off. It was around about 1am when I was rudely woken up by someone whacking me hard on the left ankle.

I sat up, frowning and saw this man dressed in a tartan suit and wearing a tartan hat with the pom pom on it and he looked really pissed off about something. He leaning on a stick but I couldn't make out his features. I remember he had grey hair that's about all I remember of him except he was pointing at something. I watched him then turn and walked THROUGH the door. I wasn't freaked out or anything, I just shrugged and went back to sleep.

I told me mum the next day and she sat me down and said she kept seeing a little old woman standing at the bottom of her bed holding a pillow in her hands and ready to smother my mother. I also saw shadows of someone walking down the hall but, yet, there was no one there.

Thanks for the comments. One, it wasn't a demon, just one very angry little old man who wanted to know who the hell I was and why was I in his house... Or so I presume. Puzzled me over the years, that did. Two, yes, it was in my mother's house but it happened to me (the little old man) and the little old lady happened to me mum and three, buggered is actually an old English slang meaning two things: 1) Tired. 2) well, I won't say or I'll be banned from here LOL. To ghostlover13, he was pointing at the window, why I haven't a clue. I was the only one who was hurt as the old bugger (person) whacked me that hard on my ankle that my left ankle never being the same since. 😠thanks again. I'm going to put up another ghost story that happened to me when I used to work in a department store and the first house I moved into that was haunted. And just recntly I had a very strange incident. ❀ AussieRedDog

Not sure what buggered means in your cultural slang but I'm hoping it means the same as being drunk. 😊 If your mother encountered a spirit and so did you, seems like the place is haunted. If no one has hurt anyone it may be nothing to worry about. The get up on the spirit you saw may have been the result of too much Christmas cheer. No wonder you couldn't take him seriously. Had the old lady with the pillow shown up you may have thought differently. πŸ˜•

Sorry, I am a little confused. Did all of these things (with you and your mothe) happen in the same house? Did they happen in the same time span?

Thanks!
God Bless!

I wouldn't be so fast to assume that this was demonic. Nothing did end up happening to either one of you. I'm no expert, but I would be surprised if something demonic simply made its presence known and did nothing further. Not to mention the lack of fear on your end. If you just shrugged it off, rolled over and went back to sleep you obviously didn't feel threatened. Very interesting story though. If you both saw something that detailed, obviously something was there. Thank you for sharing.

That, is most likey a demon.
Possibly.
I really do not know, but if it was to smother your mother (haha that rymed 😊... Sorry this is no laughing matter) and if the man looked angry... They COULD be demons.

If I were you, I would be careful and be safe.

Do you remember what it was that the man was pointing to?
Please tell me if you do!

Be safe! ❀
