[at] Cliney and gallgal,
It's really hard being on the receiving end of those jerks and jumps. Plus, it repeats almost as if on a timer. This is no fun, believe me.
Cliney~ my husband has actually guessed at the magnesium being part of it. That and potassium are the two we sort of nailed down at first. He takes supplements to counteract any loss. I must add though, he is an athlete. These last few years he has gone wicked crazy with cycling. And that was another one I was thinking may aggravate and cause onsets of his RLS. I'm pretty sure that doesn't help, but I would never ask him to slow down the cycling. We live with it, but it is no picnic when it hits him, because those legs of his are as hard as steel when he gets tensed up, and I don't even wait to see if it will repeat anymore. I just move elsewhere for the night.

Thanks guys!

[at] javelina - restless leg causes are still pretty much a mystery, like cliney indicated. My friend has it and it makes her miserable, but her doctors don't know what to do either: (. She says it feels like she's being tugged at, so when I read this story I immediately thought of it.

My sympathies to you and your husband!

Hey Jav...I'm sorry to say that I still have it... And it is heredatory (did I spell that right) I think it's diet related I have done quite a bit of research on it but it's very conflicting I think it's possibly a lack of magnesium as that is a mineral that's needed to help muscles relax... But some suggest it's lack of iron others say too much salt! The GPs scratch their heads one said to have tonic water as it contains quinine... I just try to keep a healthy diet and that has helped a lot but I do still get it from time to time...I'm sorry if that doesn't help much... ❤

[at] Cliney,
Is that what Restless Leg Syndrome feels like? Seriously, my husband has it and it can be very aggravating at times for the person sharing the bed with someone constantly jerking and jumping every few minutes. It isn't every night, but often enough to drive me into another room or out to the sofa just to get some sleep. He can go on all night like that sometimes and not even be aware of it. His mother does it as well. My father in law and I have shared a few laughs about it, but it really can be a tough thing to deal with. Did yours just go away or what? Please give me something positive here.

I have to agree with Jav about the ghost radar... Dont pay any attention to it. It's a toy really 😊 Also yes check out Restless Leg Syndrome it's AWFUL I've had it for 15 years. If your waking up with it as your sleepy and dissorientated you may (or may not!) be imagining that it's someone grabbing your feet.

The ghost thing for your phone is not accurate at all you could take it to anybody's house and it will make the same noise. If you really want to see if their is something in your house hire a professional.

[at] toni - When you say your feet were grabbed, do you mean you can feel hands, fingers encircling your feet, or do you just feel pressure?

Depending on the actual sensation you experience, it might be formication, or maybe restless leg syndrome, but I would think a shrink would be aware of those things and suggest them.

At any rate, I hope you figure it out. I would be very upset if something upset my rest like that.

I'm just a little confused about your psychiatrist agreeing it may be a ghost and to follow up on it. It sounds a little unprofessional. I would think someone in that field would at least offer more scientific or mental explanations... I could be wrong though.

Toni,
Trix has some very good advice and I believe you should follow it. I just wanted to respond to your sons cell phone ghost radar app. Those are not actual working type applications. They are mainly for goofing around with your friends and family, but not at all for real.
The instruments that ghost hunters use in their field work are precision made tools. These have one specific function, and that is to detect and measure electro magnetic fields. They cover only that. A cell phone cannot be turned into one simply by downloading an application from the Internet. These instruments are normally used by electricians in the field. The ones they use are very expensive, as opposed to what is now being sold to ghost hunters over the internet.
Try the recipe that Trix has advised for you. I can copy/paste it here if you like, just say the word.

Hi Toni0217, it sounds like something wants to draw your attention. Sometimes it helps to put down some ground rules out loud, and if it doesn't work then try Rooks cleansing recipe. This cleansing gets rid of all negative energy. Rooks recipe works for me all the time. Take care. Trix. ❤
