Yes Jav, I agree that those who cross over can come back!...I believe that there are a certain amount of sphere's separated to this one and all of them are up... And the only way to elevate yourself into them is too surrender yourself into the light and when you do, you tap into a whole new world of possibilities and energies unimaginable with common perceptions that make you not want to come back, only when the emotions of your loved ones and the transitions of death for those who need help to cross... One could consider it a elevator if you like... Once you go up, you can come down... But for those who are unwilling to enter the light for a who lot of speculative reasons... Unfinished business, traumatic deaths and other emotions they don't feel the wonders of the light and internal peace... And they are trapped here for reasons previously mentioned.

That's the million dollar question, isn't it? I know most of the theories, and sure, they might be true for some, I suppose. But it does make a person wonder if they are holding themselves here, or what? I do believe, in my heart of hearts, that loved ones that have crossed, can come back through now and then. You know that yourself. But when a spirit gets "stuck" here, it always makes me ask why.

I guess what I was referring too are those people who die before there time and have unfinished business, appart from them I believe our lives are mapped out and all those little happenings arrive together at different points just like you previously mentioned... Not everything goes to plan mate, you know me and how my mind goes round and round... Totally irrelevant to what were talking about here... No Murphy's law going on here mate, even moongrim stamped this one as purposeful and solid as... Just looking through the equation as to why some souls can't move on and are stuck here in this sphere?

Aussie, Murphy's law states that "Anything that can go wrong, will". So looking at it that way makes it no coincidence when something does go wrong. It becomes fated to do so. In other words, failure to prepare is preparing to fail.
The song on the radio, for me, seemed to be the easy part. Think about how often we will read about spirits manipulating the lights or the TV. It seems they have a knack for messing with electricity. Add that up with the theory of most all investigators of the paranormal, that spiritual activity is detectable with the use of EMF detectors. They are thought to have their own electro-magnetic field. So if they are familiar with certain devices in life, it makes sense that they would figure a way to use their own energy to manipulate those devices. Sheila wasn't into computers much, but she was into music. She found a way to get it through, that's all I know. Because that was no coincidence.

I agree Jav, there are no coincidents in life... I think if you consider Murphy's law than occasionally things do go wrong even when there not meant too, but they are few and far between... And songs on the radio? I don't know how they do that little number mate and I for one wouldn't be calling them a coincident... And that Math equation!..."BOY" isn't that longer than a piece of string.

Aussie,
Ever since I read geetha's post I've been looking back on how I used to think. I would just assume that there were times and events that occurred simply out of coincidence and nothing more. It was an accident of nature or happenstance. Not any longer. Because when you consider the different paths people walk throughout their lives, and every where they go they pick something up. Bits of trivial information that get stored away, unused and nearly forgotten for years at a time. Somewhere down that same path, a situation arises where that little bit of info becomes the one thing needed to get them out of a sticky situation, or maybe save someone's life. Either way, was it just coincidence that they just happened to have learned it long ago? Or was it destiny?
Do you see the math in that one?
Because, more and more I am convinced there are no coincidences in life.
And that, I believe is how this worked out. I then put it up here, just the same as all the others who have as well, and maybe that is what someone else needs to find.
Your brother's experience validates mine, mine helps validate yours. But get this one, my little sister... I began taking on her looks, her hair, the night she passed on. She gave me validation that it was her when the song came on the radio. That experience, and me writing about it, putting it up here, was what prompted this. And it took someone else to catch it.
Coincidence?
Not a chance!

Jav 😊

Yes mate, I do feel validation is very important, I have come to appreciate the power of suggestion and how our minds, especially our spiritual conciousness can lead us down a merry path and this experience I'm sitting on just has me in two minds... Not sure, I really hope what I experienced was real, I just don't know, my family didn't blink an eye lid when sharing it with them, but would you expect any less from the ones who really love you... And yes I too think about Kiesha, she was only buried a couple of months ago and that is one story that is close and personal... I will at some point write about that again, just waiting for the court case and verdict... Speaking about validation Jav, what I really enjoyed about your story, was how it supports some of my own theories, reasons and possibilities... That's what I enjoy the most when reading fascinating material, putting all the pieces together and that mathematical equation we were talking about before, is part of the whole quest of knowledge... I think you have helped me bind my own conclusions just that little bit more mate, I really was glad you submitted this one...😁

BlueTurtle,
Hey, if we didn't ask questions we would never move forward.
Did I feel anything besides the momentary confusion?
I wish I could say that I did, but beyond the day long episodes of deja vu and being completely freaked out about someone completely rearranging the landscape on me, I honestly don't recall any other weird feelings.
Was it just my appearance that had changed, or did I sense something deeper?
Again, I wish I could say there was, but my state of mind was not in the best shape for contemplation. I was a teenaged girl just trying to get to my babysitting gig. I was more worried that I might be on the verge of a mental disorder. It never occurred to me, at that time, to pay attention to any signs or clues that would suggest it may be a paranormal experience.
Where did the ending come from?
The ending was written by my friend, those are his words.
How did I figure out what was happening? Or did my friend deduce this?
He knows all the ins and outs, and more, of what happened that day. We had gone through all sorts of different scenarios trying to make sense of things. But after I made that phone call, things just fell into place. At least it did for me, and I've had years to think about it.
It's like what geetha quoted from her grandmother "only when the time is right, you will figure out what you need to, until then there is no point in driving yourself crazy". I believe there are no coincidences in the way this unfolded, it was time, that's all. And for me, the rest is gravy.
Thank you for the interest in my experience, BlueTurtle. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Jav 😊

Aussie,
I know which one you're referring to mate, and it is a good one too. However, I also know how you are about validation, and even when you get that you want more. That's one of the main reason's your experiences have always been so popular. That, and the fact that they are interesting as hell! You've got comment threads that go on for pages, and "The Woman in Black" actually had us going down some pretty freaky roads once the inside story was found out. I still get an ache in my heart about that. I go back and check the online newspapers from down under just to make certain those evil S.O.B's never see daylight again. Geez, would you look at that? My hands are balling up into fists just talking about it.
Anybody can be stereotyped Bucko, I'm the original redheaded stepchild, crazy redhead, strawberry freckle face freak. (But you watch them run when I've got a baseball bat in my hands, eh?) It's your experience and knowledge of these mysteries all around us that we take away with us that's important.
But ridiculed? Not much chance of that happening. Not while I can still swing a bat! 😲

I know what you mean Jav... Coming forward with a story like this is not easy and I understand some of your previous reservations as to why not... I too am sitting on a story I would like to share and have with my immediate family, but not my friends, I went close a few times sending it to you and a couple of other close friends, I think I'm afraid of being ridiculed or stereotyped in a certain way and for the time been am just leaving it at home... YGS has opened my mind up to a few things and some of stories that come through here really fascinate me... And your story is one of them Jav... I can dot the eyes and cross the t's and was nodding my head whilst reading your friends scenario... What you experienced makes perfect sense to me and as you put it... It was right up my alley... Cheers again mate.

geetha,
Man, was your grandmother right! I don't know if any of this would have made sense before now. I believe the time I've spent here was the last piece to bringing the answer forward. Before spending time here learning and helping others, I don't think I would have accepted it.
If I hadn't shared this here, I wouldn't have been able to complete the circle. My hope is that someone else is going to benefit from it, find their answers in the similarity of the experience.
Thank you for your kind words geetha. You made me smile. 😊

Aussie,
I knew this was right up your alley, and was waiting to see what your thoughts were. This experience is what I was researching when I found ygs. As soon as I saw how the format was set up, I knew I was in the right place. I believe the community here has helped move the discussion forward, as it pertains to the paranormal. And I have learned wo much!
Your brother's experience and your explanation have given me even greater clarity into what I experienced that day. His experience is the beginning of the validation we are always searching for when dealing with the experiences found on these pages. My hope is that others will come forward now.
As the pieces started falling into place for my friend, I was still trying to put it together and make sense of it all. And that feeling of being so close to those answers I've been searching for was just so incredible! After he explained what he thought had happened that day, I suddenly knew that was it. The feeling was so overwhelming, I felt light headed, like I had just come out of a spin. I had to go lie down. When I woke up, it felt like a whole new week!
I knew you were going to understand what this was all about Darren. Thank you for that, it means the world to me. It really does.

Brunhilda, Bluey, Javelina and Deane all agree. ❀

Oh man, this is deep! I never thought such a thing could happen, and I was so confused until the 'explanation' at the end. Where did that come from again? And how did you figure out that's what was happening? Did your friend deduce this? Either way, it's amazing that a foundling spirit could find some way to get back to their loved ones one last time, and in a moment of happiness, though brief, instead of sadness. It's amazing how you couldn't look like yourself when you were acting as a vessel for this spirit (my prayers to her and her family as well). When she was using you subtlely, did you feel anything else besides the momentary confusion? Was it just your appearance that had changed or did you sense something deeper? I know these may be intense questions, and sorry for the frequency of them, but I still can't get over the fact that you actually provided a sort of vessel for this woman! It's amazing and freaky at the same time!

WOW! Amazing!
Those two words popped into my head as soon as I read the story.

My grandmother always told me that only when the time is right, you will figure out what you need to, until then there is no point in driving yourself crazy. I think your story is that classical example of it.

Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us. This is going into my favourites! What made you want to share it with us at this point in your life?

Jave; Great story mate and I'm so glad you shared it with us... My brother had a similar experience not long after my father died... As he was driving around in his car he knew what laid ahead at every turn and who he would see etc... So your not alone mate, nor are you crazy... This is interesting and I can see a lot of evidence supporting your friends scenario... And may have written something similar knowing all the facts around that day all those years ago... Our spiritual consciousness has some amazing abilities... One of them, is the gift of premonition, being able to see what is a head of time?...which would explain how you sat in your class more as a passenger knowing everything that was about to happen and the way it did unbeknown to you all the time that this spirit was cleverly channelling through you, you were both connected in mind together, which meant that you were able to see our world with two perspectives and also able to comprehend both views at the same time... And as you stated, you thought it was quite cool! Now here's where it gets interesting, as you got closer to where you were babysitting and the final destination for this spirit, greater mind control and perception was now being inflicted upon you... Which meant, you now where seeing our world from the perspective of the spiritual realm and loosing slowly your own earthly perception, which explains why nothing looked the same, the highway was gone and things were different etc... Your description, is exactly how spirits perceive our world from time to time... At this point of time I think this hitch hiker was hoping for total control and seeing her complexion in the mirror was evidence of that?... Perhaps she needed to say her goodbyes or what ever message she felt compelled to relay at the time... My opinion it was wrong, but at least it was just that one time... Thank you for sharing Jav...

DARKNESS!
When my friend came back at me with that theory, my reaction to it was instantaneous. Luckily, I was seated at the time. I immediately felt lightheaded. Not the buzzing kind of lightheaded though. More like the fainting type. I didn't faint or fall down, but I felt that if I tried to stand up I might. It was really weird.
Maybe it was from the relief of it finally coming to an end.
All I can say about that theory is that as I read through it. It felt RIGHT. It hit me hard, but it fit.
Thank you Danny Boy,

Troyarn,
Thank you. Coming from the guy who wrote "The Burns Ranch", one of the scariest stories I have ever read, that means a lot. The most frightening thing about your experience there, for me, was that concrete bunker in the yard. I still get goosebumps when I think of that.
"A Small Town Haunting" was the other one that freaked me out too.
Sorry, I'm blathering on again.
Thank you again Troyarn, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Weird how we experience the paranormal, it affects people in so many differant ways, and this experience of yours is one of the more great unusual ones! 😊 I like the theory does sound quite plausible! 😁 Thanks for sharing this one with us Jav goin to the ol favourites box! 😊

Wow! Thank you so much for... Getting it. ❀
[at] granny,
The deja vu began sometime near the end of first period. Her sister's accident occurred in the morning. I didn't get a time or date from her, and I honestly didn't even think about that because I wasn't planning to write about it. My focus was on getting it solved. But I have this friend who just kept on elbowing me about it, mercilessly I might add, and I realized what a wimp I was being, and relented. I even imagined you telling me to "grow a pair and get over it". Worked for me!
I've had episodes of deja vu on and off my entire life. Most of the time I could say what was going to happen seconds before it actually did, but I never had anything that intense before or after that day. Especially the "being lost" aspect of it. That never happened again. And I don't feel that those other times had any spiritual involvement.
[at] Ghostyjosey:
Thank you for your kind words. But as Waylon Jennings so aptly put it,
~"I've always been crazy, but it kept me from going insane"~
I am just happy to hear that others understand why I never felt comfortable telling anyone about it.
[at] Argette:
That feeling you got about being the first to post a comment?
Multiply that by 1,000, hold it in for about 40 years, and that will about do it.
I had been thinking 'time slip' at one point as well. I had nothing else to compare it to, and all the time I spent searching for clues and coming up empty handed had me thinking I'm that direction. But as you can see, it just didn't fit.
Thank you for your kind words, and taking the risk of being first. (You had no idea you weren't)
[at] MuFox:
Thanks for reading If you ever do recall where you saw that video, I would be very interested in watching that. Could you leave a link for it on this thread sometime? Seriously, I really would appreciate it.
[at] aia:
Buckle up your seat belt kid!
Of all people, you'll be the one it happens to.
Not a doubt in my mind about that. But you have the benefit of forethought and experience in your corner.
You will recognize it for what it is and find a way to deal with it on the spot.
And then you will come back here and tell us all about it.
Things are very different these days, as compared to the days when people like granny and I grew up. People talk much more openly about paranormal events. It's become less feared and more readily accepted. They're discussing it out in the open. That was not an option for us. Heck, that's why we're here now! We can finally talk about it, AND so can the rest of the world!

I think this is probably one of the best stories on here- ever. I was so fascinated. It just kept going and going, and I just kept reading and reading! Like the others said, you told this well. Details, everything. Fantastic.

Beautiful, sensitive and disconcerting all at once. Javelina, you told it well. At first I was thinking time slip. But then, the story changes and we get the real possible (and probable, perhaps) explanation.

Jave: Wow!...I think your friend's scenario seems a very likely explanation, specially given the fact that it wasn't the only time this has happened to you... Since you weren't feeling like "yourself" all day, can I ask, when did the accident occur?...And can you pinpoint or recall a specific time when you started feeling strange?...

Sometimes, all it takes is a phone call to validate our experiences, and most of us don't have the guts to do so...I'm also wondering if this is the first time anything like this happened that you recall?

Great post!...Thank you 😊
